Long time visitor of Vegas StrEATS. Saturday we decided to go earlier rather than later when the…read morelines are long. Good choice! We got carded at entry and purse search as well. First booth on the right Beer and Shots! Haaaaay! $4 Jager shots and not sure about the beer but who cares after the $4 shots. At this point total score-I knew this night was gonna be good. How could it get any better? Walking around, there are so many trucks I haven't tried and want to but you only have so much room in your belly. LOL Started with an Asian flavor taco from Dragon Grille. That's it ....I just found my favorite food truck! Hands down it was the best darn taco and I will be hankerin for another till I find them out and about again! We all were completely impressed. The chickie in the front with the totally cute accent was helpful and such a sweetheart. Headed over to Sauced for the Big Easy Balls with Srirachi sauce. I had been told these are most awesome and I wanted to see for myself. Chicken and Rice formed into a ball and fried. Amazeballs! Talking about forgetting your diet for the night... Free Vegas StrEATS lanyard with Yelp checkin. Thanks! The vibe is pretty chill, everyone standing around juggling their drinks and food.....BECAUSE there is nowhere to sit other than a gross street ledge which I refused to sit. They definitely need some chairs of some sort but they know what they are doing. I'm sure there is a reason for not having the chairs/table set up. I see people complaining in the reviews regarding the downtown parking prices and some of the hotel garages just need your ticket validated inside the hotel before you leave-free parking peeps. Its not a secret or maybe it is. Anyways, what is better than cheap eats, flowin drinks, music and art? The whole night as usual with StrEATS was a success! =)

A…read morefestival that started out very unorganized and haphazard has become a regular fixture on my monthly calendar. I still am not sure how they decide which Saturday they are going to do this event. I've been the day after First Friday and I've been in the middle of the month. Part of the reason this gets 5 stars from me is that I live at The Ogden, so I literally walk down stairs from my place and BAM! Food Truck heaven. plus I like the addition of the local vendors selling their hand crafted wares. I'm not gonna buy most of it because its just not my style, but I'm all about small local vendors getting their shot. There's always a few regulars and a few change-ups each month. You can almost always count on Slidin Thru and Grouchy John's but the rest vary from month to month. And it's always a good mix of people in attendance. It's an all ages event so it usually draws that same crowd you see at First Friday, & it's FREE to get in so if you are in the area there is definitely no good reason to not check it out. My one main complaint is that there's around 4 or 5 tables total for the event. Therefore, there is always that awkward time after buying the food of walking around trying to find some place to post up and eat. For an event with as many attendees as this tends to get, and as much extra room as they have in the parking lot, whoever is in charge needs to get on this. It's a tiny little omission that would make a huge difference in the quality of the event.

Admission was free when you signed up in advance on Eventbrite. Once inside, booths and plenty of food trucks awaited. There were about 20 different setups ranging from teas, dessert, hot dogs, sushi, ramen, noodles and more. Most lines went quick and the grub was served up fresh and hot, or cold if you chose meet fresh or fluff ice. The fam and I went this year so was easy for us to sample about 7 different foods from multiple booths / trucks. Tables to enjoy your food were available at each end and the entrance. It was a beautiful evening as the weather was in the 70-80's, perfect for an evening of sampling local hot spots and food trucks. Tip: Have each person stand in a separate line to maximize what you can order and share the food as it is served. Will be back next year to experience it again!

In just its second year, I missed the inaugural Las Vegas Asian Night Market as I was back home in…read moreHawaii at this time last year. Reading the reviews, it doesn't seem like I missed much, but after reading this review (for those who didn't attend last night's festivities) y'all didn't miss much, as there was so much more to be desired and so much more to still be improved upon. It also didn't help the fact that We recently came back from attending the Gold standard of night markets in North America, The Richmond Night Market in Canada which has been around since 2000, boasting over 100 food vendors and over 200 market vendors in an open, 18-acre lot, various games, exhibits, and a main event stage that caters to the 1 MILLION attendees every year. Back to our "night market", the overall vibe felt like a very poorly thought out block party. For the 10,000 people who attended last night, here's some highs and lows of the festivities in my eyes: Highs: 10,000+ in attendance means that there's a demand for events like this Great effort to the people responsible for putting this together . Now the Lows/Points of improvement: BIGGER, OPEN LOT With attendance guaranteed to grow next year, a bigger open area is SUPER necessary. A blocked off street section with lines snaking every which way and people going against the grain saying "excuse me" every second was chaotic! LIGHTS/SIGNAGE/LOUNGING The street lights were the primary source of light for the event which made for a blah, dimly lit venue, the lounging areas that I saw were just tables and chairs at either side of the street, kinda like an afterthought. Some food vendors' signage was non existent or not very visible, again to a poorly lit venue. Better lighting is another necessity! MORE VENDORS Drop "Asian", rename it 702 or Las Vegas Night Market, and reach out to chefs, restaurants, food and non-food vendors, etc. After all, aren't we considered a culinary destination? There's seriously no shortage of food choices here. Maybe this way, it'll alleviate the long lines, offer more food choices, and lessen the possibilities of food vendors running out of food(Fukuburger ran out at 8:30pm)/drinks ,gives people the opportunity to browse, shop, and possibly come back for more food. AREN'T WE A CITY KNOWN FOR ARTS/ ENTERTAINMENT? There's also no shortage of singers, dancers, acrobats, magicians, comedians, cooking schools, martial arts schools, etc. in Vegas!? TAKE A PAGE FROM THE RICHMOND NIGHT MARKET Check out my review/pictures! Go on their website and check out all the YouTube videos....It's a well thought out night market...Scrap the VIP Package and offer an Express Zoom Pass to allow Zoom Pass Holders early entrance before General admission attendees. More people are guaranteed to purchase this for sure. Extend dates to possibly multiple weekends in a month instead of just one day each year? (Maybe mid-September through the month of October) Richmond Night Market was every weekend(Fri, Sat, Sun) from May 10 through October 14, from 7pm to 11pm and the place was packed start to finish! TAP INTO OUR LOCAL ARTISTS Maybe think of a theme, and make it more inviting! A little splash of color and maybe some cool installations to give the venue life! Color does wonders! Remember, these two stars are MY EXPERIENCE, so take it with a grain of salt, learn and evolve from it, and don't taze me, don't @ me, or message me with any form of negativity. Believe you me, I really want this thing to stick around, because our community could really use an event like this after working out the kinks. ALOHA!!! SHAKA METER: \uuu/ \uuu/ 2(with a huge margin for improvement)

From parking to walking around, everything is kept up nicely and very clean. Parking is $10 at the visitor center, however, there are other sporadic small parking lots to see some more gorgeous sights, that are free of charge. I did think the parking at the visitor center was fun and different, inside a mountain. Also, the Hoover Dam gift shop has so many cool items/souvenirs, so make sure you stop by right next to the visitor center parking structure. The only comment/critique I would make is regarding the Hoover Dam cafe, adjoined with the gift shop. Although it is kept clean inside and the employees are very friendly, it is entirely too small, especially for the amount of visitors going in and out. There aren't many tables inside, and even though the outside eating area is nice, it is hot most of the year, so many are not able to eat outside. I would love to see the indoor cafe area expanded to provide a comfortable air conditioned spot to have something to eat, especially for families with small children and visitors that are up in age. We are looking forward to returning to Hoover Dam soon, and next time taking a tour! Also, if you are looking for a great spot to eat on the drive to or from Hoover Dam, for a little larger of a meal, Fox's BBQ in Boulder City has excellent food with friendly servers!

Going in we had an issue. We were told the pepper spray my daughter keeps in her purse could not come in, ok, no problem, we would walk it back to the car. The security guards (wearing sunglasses inside?) said to leave through the glass doors with it (glass everywhere around that area), so when I started walking in not the direction of the "doors" he wanted me to, he raised his voice to an aggressive yelling tone and repeated and pointed to the glass doors. Unnecessary, for sure. There were no signs saying no pepper spray, and kindness goes a long way. He is dealing with tourists and really is in the service industry, he should probably act like it. None of the security guards had name tags that I could easily read, this would be nice. Deducted a star for rude employee experience.

Because the lantern launch was the main experience we purchased tickets for, staff instructed us to contact RISE by email to request a refund. Based on this instruction, we did not board the shuttle transportation, did not attend the festival, and our tickets were never scanned or used. I contacted RISE that same day as directed. Over the following months, I sent multiple follow-up emails but received only generic responses asking me to "have patience." After more than five months of repeated follow-ups, RISE finally responded on March 9, 2026--only after another email from me--denying my request and citing a "no refunds" policy. Being told to request a refund, then strung along for months before being denied with no real explanation, is incredibly misleading and reflects extremely poor customer service. This was not a small expense -- we traveled internationally for this event -- and the way this was handled is unacceptable. This was a very expensive and disappointing lesson. I would strongly caution anyone from trusting this event.

In the first part of the day a DJ is performing in a small central booth. Most attendees were vibing, having drinks, and chilling. Once the sun sets everyone does the lantern release which was honestly magical. Then the bands start performing on the main stage. After the last act there is a fireworks show that is probably the most aesthetically pleasing fireworks display I've seen. This is a smaller festival that is not strictly music focused so there was quite a bit of down time in the day in between events. For example, after the first act performed on the main stage the crowd hung out for 30 minutes while the crew swapped out instruments and equipment for the second artist. We paid extra for the first premium level (Gold) which got us access to an area with couches, tents, and tables. This was well worth the price because otherwise there would be nowhere to sit other than the sandy desert. The desert gets quite cold at night and this event is entirely outside with no indoor areas so if you plan to stay for the headliners dress warmly! We drove to and from the festival which I highly recommend. The "venue" is a good 35 minutes outside of Las Vegas even when there's no traffic. To be clear, this event takes place in the middle of the desert where there are no buildings, amenities, towns, or services of any kind other than what the event staff build. There is limited or no cell service in the desert and Uber/Lyft don't serve the venue. The event ended at midnight and I was grateful not to have to wait on a shuttle at the end of a long day.
