I uploaded and submitted everything he requested the following week. After 2 weeks I called to check in, as I didn't hear anything. I was told he was behind and 1 more week. A week went by and still nothing... I called, emailed, left messages. No response. After another week I got a hold of Stacy (at this point no one was contacting me, I had to contact them) She apologized and said Dan would call me that evening.... no call. April 2nd I began to Panic, how can a business do this to someone..... I got a hold of Dan, he requested some more info for business expenses. I sent him an email April 4th with all the information. April 11th.... yes a week later, Dan said he was almost done. He told me Stacy would call me to set up an appointment. Stacy never called. I got a text April 18th saying he filled an extension for me. Dan said everything is good to go and we set an appointment for Today April 19th. I just met with Dan and he completely messed up my taxes. The business numbers were off, he was missing expenses and nothing made sense when he tried to explain it. He said he could redo them and have them Monday April 23rd. I said "no thank you" and he said "ok, go somewhere else" I am not sure what else to say I am so frustrated and upset right now. I opened a business in Tosa last year and thought I'd try to give business to another local business. Now I have to start completely over.

It was our first time using an accountant, so we had no idea what to expect cost and service wise. First, our final preparation fee was twice what we were quoted. We paid $815. Second, the amounts of what we owed/were refunded fluctuated by hundreds multiple times. Even before they sent our taxes to the IRS, the amounts changed. Nervous, we went ahead and let them file our taxes. When we received notification from the IRS that our taxes were filed incorrectly, we contacted them and asked them to help us understand what had happened. In the text exchange they said "Ok I'll bust out the crayons for you". Our questions brought defensiveness, "I'm unsure if you believe us or not that we have both been in this professional field for 5 years not including college", when all we wanted was to understand why my ex's return was so much less and mine was so much more than expected. We used an accountant so our taxes would be filed correctly. If we were going to send them incorrectly and have the IRS correct them, we would have done the taxes ourselves.

Then my husband was bothered by this since I had sent him all our private info, so he called Kyle and got the same promises. Nothing again, and we keep trying to get in touch. If he's busy, just say so! But don't request all our very personal, identity documents then fall off the grid. Very very unsettling and more importantly HIGHLY unprofessional. I was looking forward to working with him! But seems like professional maturity and stability is highly lacking, beware. UPDATE FROM KFN RESPONSE: I'm a professional project manager, there is absolutely no way I would miss a meeting I had been adamantly requesting for weeks. It's disappointing how unbelievably inaccurate this response is, to the point I may need to alert Yelp itself.
