Barnacles. Tastes (not like chicken) like intense briny crab. Each barnacle was 0,55€.

Such a friendly place. They offered the menu or special of the day. Today's special was a choice of fish, pork, or chicken. Giant portions for 6€. The local cheese of the day can be described as a semi soft Brie texture with a aged Gouda + muenster (like the German kind, not the US grocery store kind) flavor. And if you can, get the barnacles. Like briny intensive crab flavor. Limited availability. All that was less than 20€.

Excellent! Very fresh and tasty seafood. May not have ocean view but more romantic than other places. We went there twice it was so good. Limpets were excellent. The Sao George mussels should NOT be missed!

Friendly staff, good food, English spoken. Recommendation: Local tapas such as beans with onion and garlic (€ 2,50) or Tuna bites (€4,00). A choice of burgers is also available.

Sausage- linguica and morcela with Portuguese bread.

Most places in the Azores are casual but this place is the exception and begs you to at least dress up a little bit. The restaurant is very nicely designed and has a nice blue hue to it which is very calming. To continue the calm theme, try to get a table on the covered patio which is gorgeous and looks out over the sea. We got the fish soup, Portuguese sausage, prawn and fish skewer, and the octopus is garlic and olive oil. The fish soup was great. It had great flavor, perfect amount of saltiness and nice pieces of fish, although one should watch out for small bones as I had a few in mine. The sausage had an interesting flavor but it went well with the sweet potato that was with it. My mother got the prawn and fish skewer. I only had one bite but I thought it was just ok. She seemed to enjoy it though and the presentation is not to be missed. I got the octopus in garlic and olive oil and although I don't have a picture of it let me tell you, this was the best octopus I've ever had! It was super tender, not rubbery, and incredibly flavorful. The only drawback is that I wish they would've done something more as a side instead of just plain potatoes. They weren't bad as they soaked up the garlicky olive oil but something more surely could've been done. Overall I really enjoyed this place. The service was slow but the food was good and the views were great. It was just a nice atmosphere in general to enjoy a nice meal.

Great option for outdoor dining with a great view of the ocean in Pico/ Madelena. Octopus, shrimp,…read morePeixe-porco and Veja were the highlights. Reserve in advance to lock in outdoor seating (on the right side if looking out to the ocean. Left side doesn't have a good angle on Horta)
