I ventured out into the environs of Lisbon one day to see an art opening. There was seemingly NOWHERE good to eat, until trusty Yelp turned up this gem, and not a far walk from where I was.
Not much English spoken here, but that was not an issue, as we all speak the international language of delicious FOOD.
First, beverages, as I was THIRSTY. Imperial beer, Coke and water. Nice little Salad Mista to start.
Then . . . Bacalhau, YES. Portuguese people are mad for cod, and this makes me happy, since I am too. NICE filet here, served with potatoes and cabbage. Beautifully cooked, and absolutely delicious. It was a lot of food, and I ate every bit.
Great little restaurant. Not touristy, lots of locals. Friendly staff, once they found out I was visiting from Chicago, there were a lot of smiles and "Welcome!". If I find myself back here one day, I will know that I'm living right. read more
