This is a variety store at the basement of City Center that has a lot of home goods, clothing,…read moreaccessories, etc. It looks like it's affiliated with Target but it's actually not. I guess it feels more like a Walmart or a Big Lots. We had stopped by to grab some socks. Some of the brands seemed a bit sus like "fake" Pumas but otherwise it was fine. They didn't appear to have self checkout so we had to go to the cashier for that.

I had apparently forgot to pack along some mitts or anything like that (and the fact I'd just been in Madrid for a week probably didn't help). So I wandered around for a bit and came across Tiger, which is sort of like the dollar stores we have back home, but better. Everything here was just a few € each. There's lots of design and home decor type stuff, as well as art supplies and crafts and little knicky knacky things. It's not a huge store but it was cool to browse around, and I found a pair of gloves to wear for just €3. If I lived in Helsinki this would be a store I could see myself coming back to a lot.

Tiger stores are pretty amazing shops. Their assortment doesn't seem to follow any rules. They have…read moreall kinds of household equipment but at the same time also toys, decoration and candies. The concept of Tiger is to have round prices. You won't find anything for 1.59 € or 3.75 €. Things are 1 € or 2 € and are hardy every much more expensive then 3 €. That makes it fun to walk through there. You'll find so many things at Tiger that you didn't even know you need before. And since everything is so cheap you'll find it tough to leave this place without buying anything. At least a chocolate bar next to the counter for 1 € will always end up in your shopping basket. You can really find some useful stuff here for a good price. But don't come here to often! It might get expensive otherwise.
