This Target is Horrid! First off, the parking lot is like a maze to get into, and when you do, there are people running around like the people who are driving cars do not need to park. Next, the inside. There are cops. Need I say more? It is your basic regular Target with a grocery section. The shelves are a hot mess...so are the patrons. You can tell that the employees do not want to be there, and oh-so crowded. Since this location opened, I have only gone in extreme emergencies. After having 2 horrible experiences in this Target, I read all of the reviews on here. At first I thought I was the only person who had a horrible experience here but more than half the reviews talk about their horrible experience here as well. I am visiting Philly for a few days (from WA state) and this Target was right by my hotel. I needed to purchase some sweaters as the weather was a bit chilly. I found 3 sweaters and proceeded to the fitting rooms. The attendant was sitting down looking at her phone and never bothered to look up. I stood directly in front of her for about 30-40 seconds and she never looked up. I finally spoke up and asked her if I could try on the 3 sweaters. She looked at me like I was bothering her, handed me a tag with the number 3 on it and NEVER said one word to me, nor did she smile. I tried on my 3 sweaters, decided to keep 2 of them and I told the attendant that I was keeping 2 sweaters. She held out her hand and took the other sweater from me, never saying a word!! I then proceeded to the check out line and the cashier was also very rude. Never said thank you and never bothered to ask me if I had found everything OK. I had been in the night before and had used a small hand basket for my items. I set the basket on the conveyor belt and was rudely told by the cashier to remove my items and she pointed to where she wanted me to put the basket. I did not bother to complain to a store manager as I felt the manager would have the same attitude as the cashier and the dressing room attendant, however on my receipt was a survey so I completed the online survey. Hopefully Targets corporate bigwigs will read the complaint I submitted on the survey and take action. I'll be glad to go back to WA state and back to the OUTSTANDING customer service I get from my local Target. read more

I love target, love love love it. I just had THE WORST experience. It took me 45 minutes to get a Store Pick Up order and 8 pictures. Both of which I had been notified were ready before I got there. AWFUL, can't even express how disappointed I was with my experience today. In addition to the EXTENDED time it took (and it wasn't even waiting in line) they told me the wrong price for the pictures, and when I showed her the email that said how much I'd be paying, she seemed offended that I was showing her that. Even though I literally work right across the street I try to avoid this Target as much as possible. My main gripe about this Target is it always seems to be out of everything. The shelves are never properly stocked and the ones that are need some serious reorganizing. I'll only come in if I need to just grab something really quick. It's extremely convenient, but the lack of merchandise makes it risky. A few times I've gone in and not found what I was looking for because the entire section was empty. If at all possible I make the extra drive and visit the Target in Plymouth Meeting. read more

This target is a lot like its parking lot - people are all over the place, customers are lost, confused, don't know how to walk/drive/park, and not really courteous. The selection isn't as large as the other locations I've been to, and stock isn't very plentiful.... On the bright side, my cashier was friendly? I have to be up front at the start of the review- I have Target Syndrome. I have trouble walking into Target and only coming out with the items on my list. I have even more trouble going in to return something and coming out empty handed. With that being said, I don't love this Target. Yea- I know where everything is and can call it my regular Target but its just never a good shopping experience. It is great that they have a produce section however I can never find a good bag of spring mix or spinach when I go in. Maybe I'm just going at the wrong time but they always seem to be out. Too often it can be home to some pretty sketchy characters. I was once approached by a panhandler when walking through the home goods section. Not cool. I'm with Jay G. We just moved to this area, and unfortunately this is the closest target to us. I don't know if it's an East Coast/ West Coast thing, but this Target is waaaaay different to the West Coast stores. The first time I shopped at this location I assumed the store looked the way it did (like the hurricane had already passed through) because hurricane Irene was coming. The second time I went I chalked it up to being back to school mayhem. Third time was no charm. This store seriously looks like a bomb went off in there, that is, with the remaining items that are actually on the shelves. Seriously, is this location EVER stocked?! The parking stinks. The cashiers and employees are lousy. I've never had one greet me, or even look me in the eye. The cashier lanes that are open take longer than the ice caps to melt. When traveling to Philly, this is the Target I always hit up for a few last minute essentials. I'm surprised by some of the bad reviews. I was going to say that I like the consistency -whether in Chicago or Philly, Target is Target. I have never had an issue finding something I need. I actually discovered some new protein bars I bought here for snacks while traveling (Oatmega energy bars).I have shopped here at least three times and my experiences were always pleasant. I've come here a number of times. It is clean and well-organized, and the staff are helpful if you need assistance finding things. One thing that is nice about this location is that their grocery offerings are slightly expanded and they sell a small selection of fresh meat, eggs, and produce. They also have a larger freezer section than some other Target stores. Whether they will have items in stock or not can be frustratingly hit-or-miss although most of the time, I am able to buy what I come here for. The store is also located in a small shopping strip so you can grab lunch or do some banking while you are there running errands. Another big draw for this Target is that it is actually accessible by public transportation--the 65 and the 44 both stop right in front. read more

I really do love Target, and think that overall the selection of products, prices and overall experience in the store is great. At this particular location, however, the staff is extremely rude. I've had several occasions where I've waited at customer service for unacceptable lengths of time because the employees are chatting amongst themselves about non-work things. I've also had coupons rejected for made up reasons, and attitude from cashiers for using gift cards. I still do go here, because it's conveniently located and does have all the great items I love at Target at their great prices (home goods, clothing, certain food and cleaning supplies), but the staff really needs to improve. read more

In my hour in the store, I counted 12 workers wearing masks under noses (not covering nose). When I asked them why, they said they were hot. When I reported it to the manager, the manager said that it's just a suggestion to wear masks properly, it's not a requirement for workers. That cannot be true. read more

I was just at Target headed into the change room as usual with my cart piled high. Tracy the person "working" was too busy leaning on the counter stairing at me to say hello. I finally asked how many and she grumbled 10. I took ten and went to walk in when she shouted that she had to count them and waved for me to walk to her. Again she was incapable of moving from her leaning pose. I even said "can't you meet me half way". Nope, apparently not as she continued to gesture at me lazily with her fingers. I went here mid week and had a delightful experience: a vast array of parking spots of my choice. A gleaming empty store that I could steer my cart through with ease. A great selection of home items and groceries. I piled my cart high and marched to the cash register. There I was greeted by a friendly cashier who was so kind when I told her I had relocated from California. I even got help out to my car, where we loaded up my purchases and I drove along on my merry way. The drive here through Fairmount Park is also quite scenic. read more

This is a pretty good Target. It is large and clean, which makes it easy to navigate to find the products that you need. This Target has a grocery section that makes it nice to pick up food necessities while shopping for home, electronics, and clothing products. My only complaint is that the check-out is fairly slow. It took me approximately 10 minutes once i got tot he front of the line to check out. Oh one more thing, the parking lot can getting really crowded, but if you don't mind walking from a distant aisle it is not bad. read more

I agree with the store employees moving in packs. Worse, moving in packs and blocking the aisles with merchandise trolley(s). Some of the staff (legal to drink) were very nice. My big complaint is that there coupon policy is the pits. I wanted to use 3 coupons to buy 5 items. Two coupons were the same (i.e buy 2 get $1 off). The registers, I was told, would not allow me to use more than one coupon that was the same at a single transaction. That is so wrong. It even says, purchase on the coupon. You purchase $1/2 that is one purchase. If I buy them and start another order, that is another transaction, not a purchase. Confusing, but they really need to be better informed. There deal was, you buy 5 of the same product, you get a $5 gift card. If I buy things separately, then I do not get the $5. The same thing happened when I wanted to buy 2 lotions. I said thank you and walked out empty-handed. I called corporate and they said the policy is at the behest of the management. The management needs to re-think the 1 same coupon per transaction policy. I did inform them that I would be going to another location/store where my business is appreciated. This is a big Target near the Crowne Plaza hotel (separate parking lot) - so very convenience to pick up anything that you forgot to pack in your suit-case. This store is convenient to get to but busy . I picked out a monitor online (on sale) that I planned to pickup in store a few days before Christmas. When I got there the place was packed, but I still managed to get in and out in about 15 minutes. The lines were slow moving and the cashiers were generally kids with attitudes, but luckily I had just the one item and they couldn't screw that up for me. If I had taken the time to really browse the store I may have found reason to subtract a star, but I had to go. Not to mention I got the LAST monitor! (that i was looking for) The kid in the electronics department just said "trust me that's the one" when I asked him about it. It was in the wrong place. I may have missed out otherwise. read more

I love Target, but I'm not a fan of this one. Instead of trying to write a comprehensive review, I'll just list the things that are different at this location from other Target stores I've been to. Traffic and parking is a hassle. It's always extra snarled. They seem to be out of stock of a lot of things all the time. There are rarely enough people at the registers. I always wait in line at least 10 minutes. The pharmacy staff routinely keeps me waiting past the time I'm told my prescriptions will be filled. After being made to wait a day, and then an hour, and then another hour for pain medication while I was in the worst pain I've ever experienced, I've learned my lesson and won't be using this pharmacy anymore. In general, this is a very busy store that seems to be under-staffed and under-stocked. I suggest trying alternatives. read more

I am very disappointed that the nearest pharmacy to my place is supposed be the most convenient one, but it's not. I was trying to get a medicine for my GERD problem and my doctor prescribed me NexIUM, which is a formula one and expensive. I went to Target and they told me it's not covered by my insurance and saying they would contact my doctor to change for a generic one. Well, it didn't happened. I went back the other day, and ask them if they had solved the problem and one of their staffs told me it's my responsibility to make such change. What? Then he started giving me lesson like a father explaining common sense things that made me feel like an idiot and saying that's not their fault at all. I was totally pissed and then called my doctor's to contact the pharmacy. The third day, finally I got the cheaper medicine. BUT, YOU KNOW WHAT? Two weeks later, I checked my online insurance account. The pharmacy charged me both of the formula and generic prescriptions, which is in total of $300. I never received the formula drug and I was told that is not covered. If that's not a mistake, they must be lying and making money in this dirty way. Because of that, i have to pay an additional $40 copay . Now, i have to make phone calls to deal with them again. In conclusion. I spent hours and made at least 5 phone calls to get my $13 dollar prescription and being overcharged x20 times. This is ridiculous. How poor store management they have. read more

While not being able to find the items, the staff was friendly and the store itself was very organized, clean, and overall enjoyable to walk around. I stopped in this week to make a return and grab a few things. I stood at Customer Service for at least five minutes while 7-8 employees ignored me. NONE of them had their mask covering their mouth and nose. The service from the staff was totally unprofessional. While walking around the store, I saw a number of other employees also with their masks pulled down. How is this ok? You don't know which customers may be at high-risk. Unacceptable. Sometimes you want to go to one place and buy a myriad of stuff. You're pressed for time, you're feeling lazy or you live in the suburbs. Target is there for you. The bright lights and red trim alway seem to distract my eye from any messes. This store is clean and I've had no problems finding anything. They have the requisite huge selection, including Hallmark's line of "Mahogany" cards. I'm happy to see that they sell Polar Water. Man, is that hard to find down here. Easy to get to from Center City, easy parking, too. Target prices. No surprises. read more

On Tuesday January 21, 2020. I visited 4000 Monument Rd. Philadelphia PA. Went shopping for intimate apparel and there was crap on the wrong size rack, packages of underwear piled on the floor, and unable to get assistance. Every time you turn on your TV, their commercial is being run. This store should close its doors. You would think this store would be a bit more upscale due to it's location. What a dump. I've come to this Target several times due to its close proximity to home. After many bad experiences I finally felt compelled to write a review. This is the worst Target around bar-none. The customer service is rarely helpful or polite. There are some people here that do excel at being friendly, but overall, most come off as very unhappy to be at their job, very unhappy you are inconveniencing them and/or very excited to be around each other (focused on flirting/chatting/complaining rather than on quality customer service). I've gotten dirty looks from employees after asking them to move their carts that they left in the middle of the aisle while they were stocking. Don't come here hungry. Though, they have a Starbucks and a Pizza Hut in the front both are poorly staffed. On several occasions neither would have food available. On several occasions I have stood at the counter waiting to be helped and watch as the staff working there actively ignore me. I was at the Pizza Hut there today where there were 4 people working behind the counter and not one came up to help me. I had the pizza in hand all they had to do was ring me up! One of them looked at me and pointed to someone else! Finally a frustrated guy came up and said, "Come on guys!". At this point I walked away. If that much effort went into helping me pay I'd hate to think how much effort went into making the food. The Starbucks usually has only one person working and long lines. They'll have signs up for new promotions of drink flavors and food, but when asked about ordering those items they say they don't carry them because they're not a full-fledged Starbucks. Why put up the sign? Often items don't get restocked in various areas of the store. Clothing aisles repeatedly appear in disarray. And I've returned items at guest services and waited patiently only to be ignored. This location seems in desperate need of a staff/management overhaul. read more

Store is clean and let's face it I prefer target over Walmart stores any day but when I have time I would rather make the trek out to the King of Prussia Target than shop here. I've encountered more rude, condescending and generally unhelpful staff in this store. They simply behave like they would rather be some where else than work. They act like you are bothering them when they are just standing there doing nothing, when you ask them a question or ask for help. The management really needs to re-evaluate their hiring process and hire those who are willing to work and are grateful they have a job instead of hiring those who have the entitled attitude. read more

This target has the most abhorrent employees of any target I have ever been to. We have had a horrible experience here before while shopping but this time we orders online and picked up at customer service thinking it wouldn't be as bad. We were wrong. The associate asked for our information and put it into the computer then walked away. I've picked up at other targets and it usually takes 5 minutes, it was twice as long here. I usually love Target, but this one is the worst I have ever been to. I have had bad experiences here multiple times, and each time I said never again. But, I kept coming back because of its convenient location(right off city ave). This place literally makes me miserable. The parking lot is a pain. This store is always mobbed. Items are misplaced or out of stock. All of the employees I have encountered here are terrible. It's near impossible to find someone to help you. I've worked retail in the past, I understand it can be exhausting. But, the employees here are unhelpful and have attitude problems. Also, management seems to never have enough people staffed. There is always a long line to check out, and the most recent time I was here the self check outs were all closed for some reason. Do yourself a favor and AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Very bad customer service!!!!! If you call the store for help the Sales associates (not sure their titles are) know very little about inventory or what's on hand and refuses to give their name. I wanted to buy an item from the Philadelphia West store (which on the web indicated 1 on hand to pick up) I called to make sure and it was like pulling teeth from this woman she said "No, the store doesn't sell the item" I told her that did, She put me on HOLD twice then told me that her LOD (what the Hell is an LOD?) said they didn't have it I told this person to check again with the description. Finally after being on the phone waiting 12 minutes the Sales associate, sounding angry, tells me that they have the item. It is frustrating and a shame that Customer Service is just a title and not a function anymore. Its shame that poorly trained people are answering company phones and hiding behind anonymity; halfass workers!!! This is the worst Target I have ever been to. It looks shiny and new but the sales-floor staff is deplorable. I have been hung up on when I've called to see if things are in stock. I have been walked away from by sales floor team members. I have been ignored by sales floor team-members while they talked on their walkies after I had asked them a direct question. As other reviews have said, it seems to be night and day between the attitudes of the cashiers and sales floor staff. The cashiers have been downright cheerful every time I've been to this location. I have worked at different targets in other states and this store must have a high turnover or something because I do not know how these people can stay employed for very long acting the way they do. read more

I come here occasionally because the location is convenient, however, the customer service is AWFUL - especially on the weekends! Most of the cashiers are rude and unprofessional. There are no express lines, so you can easily wait 30 minutes to check out 2 items. They have a few self-check machines, however, the staff do not enforce an item limit. People with 50+ items will stand at the machines forever. My suggestion to management: Reinforce GOOD customer service with all your employees, and set-up an express line. Also, if a cashier is not taking any more customers, they need to put up a sign saying CLOSED rather than rudely telling people "I'm not open!" read more
