The only time I go to this target location is if I plan to pick up a few items last minute (since I live nearby) and plan to be in & out in 20 mins or less, other than that I usually prefer to go to the Ventura location. This place was packed on a Wednesday night at 10:00pm!! I'm getting place a solid four star in appreciation for their acknowledgement of a need for more lanes to be opened. As I walked up to check out, the line was down the main aisle. Within a minute of standing in line, they opened up another four registers to kill the line. Much appreciated. The reason I don't give this a five star, is because the aisle were pretty trashed. I guess that might be because it was at the end of the day I half-hour before they closed at 10 PM, but there were products on the floor, off-the-shelf in the food aisles. Again this just might be because it was the end of the day. No biggie. TOTAL LET DOWN! This gigantic store has no deli, no meat department, no bakery, and an almost non-existant produce dept. We were told that this was the 3rd largest Target in the country! It might be HUGE in square footage but is small in merchandise. I will go here if I run out of bread or need some toilet paper...but I certainly won't be doing my weekly grocery shopping here. I'm so over Target, I keep giving them chances but it's time to move on. They do not open more registers when their is more traffic I've had to wait so long in the line. I've tried their drive up app also has me waiting for ever. The last time I drove up for my order had me waiting all day to confirm my my order was ready just to drive up and tell me they canceled some of the items. This Target is awesome. They thought out the design pretty well, it looks very sleek and modern on the outside. It must be the best looking store in all of Ventura County. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and I found parking easily on the outside. I didn't have any issues with getting in the store as other people mentioned. Maybe its clearer if you park on the outside parking lot instead of the indoor one. The only negatives are that you have to go upstairs in order to get into the store but there must be some elevator or something for people who can't walk up stairs. I like that the actual store is only single story instead of the one at the Pacific View Mall in Ventura. I wish it wasn't on the other side of the Freeway since I live all the way in South Oxnard so its quite a drive but at least its near the Freeway for easy access. As of now its very organinized and clean, they added several other departments, I don't think the old Target had a grocery food section. This place is a mess! It's a dirty store that never seems to have anybody cleaning the floor/aisles. A ton of bratty kids hang around outside trying to act cool but just being real disrespectful. Lots of kids fighting outside too. The customer service is decent and the cashier people are cool. But who ever works the floors of this target or who ever manages the floors needs to be fired. It's a mess! There is stuff thrown everywhere , especially the shoe section. It's not only the workers who work the floors. But also the customers are just lazy as a mofo. If you take something off the shelf to try on , put it back where you got it you lazy piece of poop. I can only imagine how dirty your houses are and how disrespectful your kids are SMDH. One time I was going into this target on a nice evening and as I walked into the front doors a undercover lost preventions guy was fighting with what I assumed was a thief. It was right in the entrance between the 2 entry doors. We all kinda stood and watched the security guy struggle with what looked like a 17 year old for a good 2 min. Then out of nowhere comes this other young kid from outside and runs up behind the security guard and punches him in the back of the head (I could only assume it was the thief's friend). So I stepped in and took down the punching kid and held him there for about 5min while the security still struggled to take down the other kid. Finally more security came and helped the struggling security guard and also took the kid I was holding down. I love Target. Its a step up from Walmart and not too expensive. They were a lifesaver when I had to get a last minute costume for my son's Superhero day a couple weeks ago. They were the only store selling costumes that early (look at me staying on top of Halloween this year). They have good sales and the food section is pretty good. Man, oh man! Okay, so I came to this location to grab a few things I needed before heading back home. I do want to point some few things out and hope to clear a few things as well. I read through some of the reviews here and the one things I noticed the most is about the "teenagers destroying the store" and other inappropriate comments about these "teenagers". First of all, some of you act like you were never a teenager and never acted up at one point in your lives. You're an adult and for the person who said a very inappropriate name for these kids, I hope you are not a parent and if you are, don't forget that yours kids may end up doing something that may not suit you. Kids are not perfect and neither are we, we are here to guide not categorize people as if they are not from this Earth. IF ANYTHING, this store falls under the DISTRICT MANAGER and of course MANAGEMENT. You would know this if you worked in retail at one point in your life. Staff members can only do so much, if they fall under a a superior who doesn't care, I am sure they will perform the same way. I did notice on Sunday, July 16, 2017 that there were a few things such as, boxes in a few aisle, not many cashiers caused line to back up, and not many things stocked or faced. Again, management schedule according and wisely. If you have days that you know are the busiest, schedule your part-timers and full-timers and execute your store. Boxes left on the floor can CAUSE A LIABILITY ISSUE FOR YOU, well the store company. Now, for those that said " it's a nice place and blah blah blah" uh, sweet cheeks you are not any special, the city doesn't owe you a red carpet if anything they owe you a solution like paving the streets well so there isn't many pot holes, but anyways just plan before you go there! The Target in Camarillo is a mess. Since the remodel everything is all over the floor in the clothing departments. The layout is horrible. The women's department goes on forever and the clothes are all over the floor with carts of returns blocking the isles. All the season things are in the far back corner. It may be good for the store so people walk all the way through but it creates congestion in all the main isles. The messy departments are the worse. read more

I placed an order for 2 pairs of jeans 6 hours ago, the email said I would receive another email 2 hours after I placed the order and that it was going to be less than 4 hours for me to pick up my order.I called and was told they won't have them ready until tomorrow. I understand there may be an influx of orders, but with the amount of people they have that are solely working on these orders makes next day pickup seem absurd. If this is truly the case I would have been completely okay with a better time estimate to begin with, I'm sure most people would appreciate that. The lady I talked to was not helpful, she told me to cancel my order or try to come in and pick it up. Again I let her know I ordered jeans and it's blocked off for customer access or I would have gladly picked them up myself or with the help of a staff member. I use a service dog to help mitigate my disabilities. Today as I walked into your store with my service dog the lady in front of me had a small dog in her purse. The dog thankfully was very well behaved unlike most I have come in contact with. She proceeded to walk in front of me through out the store for a few minutes before my husband and I passed her and the lady she was with. While walking around looking for what we needed I stopped and asked a store employee if the store was pet friendly and her response was only if they are trained. I told her that a lady has a dog in a purse walking around. She continued stocking as if I had said nothing. As far I know Target per cooperate rules is not pet friendly for any reason. Allowing pets into Service Dog only stores is dangerous. My dog went through 2 years of training to be able to focus and do her job in public areas as inconspicuous as possible. To top it all off she placed the carrier that the dog was in in the shopping cart. This is a health code violation. I explain it to most people this way putting a dog in a shopping cart is like putting your dog on top of your counters before you prepare to eat dinner. It's gross to say the least. I was very disappointed this is one more place I now have to worry about pets being while my service dog who is specifically trained to help me is working. read more

Terrible! Nice location....very poorly managed Target. Store dirty, clothes thrown, graffiti in parking lot, drinks left outside, parking lot could use a power washing, elevator is dirty and on Friday evenings, young kids skateboarding in parking lot. A good general manager would take care of maintaining this fairly new Target. I love Target stores but I would never ever use Target.com again. I ordered a gift and they were unable to deliver it so it was returned to their warehouse. They did not credit my credit card for the purchase. So I was out the money, my friend did not receive the gift, and Target got to keep both the money and the gift. Finally, I had to call my credit card to have them cancel the charge. It took me a month of phone calls to finally realize Target was not going to refund my credit card. They advertised a one day sale (Sunday Nov 20, 2016) on Xbox One S 1TB bundle with a game and a controller for $299.99. There was only one guy working at the electronics department and a lot people shopping and asking questions. I asked for the Xbox One S offer and the guy from the electronics department was not aware of the sale. He started to scan all the bar codes and he could not find any of Xbox One S on sale. I noticed that they didn't even have the sale tags and all the xbox one s consoles were tagged regular price. I went to customer services and explained the situation to the lady at the counter. She talked to the guy at the electronics department on the phone. After she talked to him, she told me that they don't have the product on sale because they ran out quickly since each store carries just a few of them. Then, I asked her for a rain check and she told me that that was not possible. I really think that was just a lame excuse to cover their mistake since they actually had 1TB consoles on the racks. I went to a different Target (located at Main St in Ventura) and they were fully aware of the sale and had all the Xbox One S bundles properly tagged with the sale tags. Also, there were two guys working at the electronics department and not as many shoppers as in the Oxnard Blvd location, which makes me think this stores is way better managed. I was able to buy on sale the product I wanted (Xbox One S 1TB Battlefield 1 Deluxe Edition) at this location with no issues. If you value your time, stay away from this store (Oxnard Blvd) and go to a better managed store. read more

The Nordstrom of the Target chain. Of course this is only the second or third Target I've been and I'm not a Target shopper. For one thing, SB doesn't have one due to the commies who run the town--not CITY--I live 6.5 months a year. But even if we had a Target, I wouldn't shop there. I don't buy paper goods or detergent. I don't clean or cook. I have no kids. And I live with a guy with a kid and he handles all household things. I certainly wouldn't buy clothes here and I don't need electronics as a rule. But I did stop for a charger for my car and was shocked at how immaculate, large, and comfortable it was. Parking is easy (both times I've been able to avoid the garage) and I LOVE the Collection. I returned the charger, 34.99 (their cheapest for the iPhone 5), because the cord was simply too long. The return was instant (though the money won't go back to my account for 72 hours) and I can't imagine what more someone could wish from a store of this kind. I can understand why people with families regard Target as a godsend. read more

I love Target, and I love that this one is so close to work and home. HOWEVER, I must have missed the memo on this being the sweet, new, teenager hangout, because this location is ridiculous because of them. Lounging in chairs in a furniture aisle, playing music on their phones, hanging out, playing catch right outside the entrance doors, etc. And what kills me? The fact that I've never seen one employee, or "security" person tell them to stop. This includes the skate park, er, I mean, parking under the store. It's also frustrating with how trashed this store always looks. I went in once an hour after they opened and the place was in ruins. Clothing all over the floor, so much stuff not put back where it came from, and don't even mention the shoes. What is up with this store? Stopped in after dinner to pick up a few items. Looks like a playground for RiverRidge teenagers on a Friday Night. Loud kids cursing, cruising around the entire store ,lounging in patio furniture, jacking stuff on shelves , screwing with displays, misplacing items through-out the store. My wife and I observed an older lady in cosmetics get upset and actually say " IM leaving! this is ridiculous !! " she left her cart and stormed off towards the exit. Know what? She is right. I don't like this target...I try to go to another target. They need to work on there customer service at the service desk. I had to deal with this female with glasses she had some bad service. I was so excited when I saw how close a target was to my new apartment. However every time I go in there I regret it. It's messy, unorganized and the employees are just plain RUDE! I had just moved to this area so I did spend a pretty penny buying furniture and what not... Taking up about 3 carts full! My cashier did ask if I wanted help carrying it out and I replied yes please. She called over her manager who rolled her eyes and paged someone else to come help. I sat there and waited for a good 10 minutes when I decided I just must not be worth their time (even after spending a lot of $$) so I left without the help of anyone!! Now I am from the Midwest, where MN nice truly is a thing, but this target was just AWFUL. Also be sure not to go on a weekend evening... It's swarming with teens, who just as previous reviews state, destroy the store. I give it one star for the few employees that were awesome! Move to the Ventura store where you'll fit in.. Well what can I say, I love target. Only the underground parking can be a little creepy at night, they should get a security guard to roam at night. This target took awhile to grow on me. I didn't really like the fact that parking is downstairs. But it's close to where I live, the lines aren't too bad, and having a Starbucks inside is a plus. The cashiers that work there are pleasant and helpful, I can usually get in and out of there quickly with my son who is one. I just wish it was single story.
