I stopped into this Target location expecting to be quickly in and out. I was looking for two items specifically and the website stated they were in stock along with the aisle number. Neither one of the items were located where they were listed and I could not find them in similar aisles. Although the store did not seem too busy, I could not locate an employee to assist me. Worst managed store I've ever walked into. The store is always filthy and disorganized. Got there at 9am this morning and it looked ransacked. The lights inside were only half working. A couple of us commented we needed to use our phone flashlights to find items. Clothes tossed on shelves, not folded. Floors dirty. Women's bathroom was gross. This is my closest Target, and I'd rather drive 10 miles up the road to the next location instead of scouring this mess for items. I have to say it was worse than the TJM Nextdoor. read more

Simply put, it is consistently the worst managed store I have ever seen in my entire life and likely the worst in the Nashville area. Recent trips give the impression the store looks like a demilitarized zone. Product on the floor, strewn about in multiple aisles and a total mess. There's no pride in presentation. There are many areas of piles of boxes, dollies and carts that it's hard to navigate the clothing section or the electronic section or the bike section etc. The seasonal section (Halloween) is in complete disarray as well, with next to no product on the shelves but (whatever's left trampled on the floor and) tons of boxed up Christmas product waiting to be put out, creating a minefield of mismanaged waste. The store was remodeled sometime between late 2022 early 2023 and have ever since, reduced their cashier staff to one person on most occasions (morning/afternoon/night) I've seen lines stretching from the cash wrap all the way back to the grocery section. If you don't have to shop here and are willing to go to Smyrna or Cool Springs locations instead - do so. The difference is night and day - or - heaven and post-apocalyptic wasteland. read more

I think it's time to update my review from 7 years ago as this location had a renovation since! It looks a lot better! I do not go inside of target much anymore, I usually order online or do drive up. How are we so spoiled by these options now? Once in awhile, probably once a month, I will go inside the store, if I have my child with me. The times I've been inside looks like a normal target to me. People will say there's clothes or toys displaced all over but that's just retail. They seem to have more actual check out lanes and all self checkouts are always open which is a plus! Not good, store would not accept a personal check after we had spent about an hour shopping. We saw no posting at the front about that policy. We don't carry cards of any kind due to religious reasons. Probably won't waste any more time with that store as long as they have that policy. Felt discriminated against. read more

This target is nice and inviting. The Starr was very helpful. Sparrow checked me out and they did so well with answering my questions. They had lots of sales happening and a variety of selections to choose from. All the shelves were stocked appropriately and I feel like I got a lot for the price I paid. Probably one of the worst Targets I've ever been to. No one picks up the phone at guest services. Barely any registers open. Self check out closed at the busiest times. Product in all places but their correct spots. Messy as hell. Unopened boxes in the aisles blocking traffic. I don't know why this store is so bad. Must be all the gays and DEI hires. I have a lot if issues with this store. The main one though, is why the hell are you shutting down the self checkout at night? What genius thought this was a good idea? It would be fine if you had 3-4 people running cash registers, but it's one person. So then, you have a line of 15 plus people and it takes forever to get out. Is the management of this store purposely trying to do a bad job? I can't fathom why in the world you want to make it harder on your customers and your employees! I recommend people going to Walmart where you can at least get in and out in a timely fashion. This is just ridiculous! read more

I have enjoyed shopping at our target over the past 16 yrs in Murfreesboro TN. But I got to tell you. Something has changed for this store. And I think I can safely say the over all company. I have managed in retail spaces of all sizes for over 18 yrs. And I have never seen a store fall apart like the Murfreesboro TN store has. No one seems to ever be working There's not staff any more. Stuff absolutely every where.... I mean a complete MESS. Walmart and the dollar general looks better and more organized. And that's saying something. Who ever is running this store now is in why over there head or the over all company standards have fallen off. I used to spend a good amount of money every time I walked in. But now can't find anything. 'Underwear is in the kitchen area. Kids toys in Home wear area food from grocery in the men's clothing area. I mean come on this is just complete neglect of running a store and a team. Unbelievable and honestly just sad. The district or area leaders must intervene soon. Our community is growing and let me tell ya people will not put up with it for long. The amount of money they are losing is crazy. So sad. read more

Me again! 3 months no call from Target. We drive by from time to time and nothing happening which was good. We thought maybe they took action. Today there are multiple groups selling dogs. Seriously. This is the most disorganized Target I've been to. The shelves are way overstocked, particularly the clothing and shoes departments. Carts of boxes of even more stock are just sitting in aisles. Target is supposed to be the place you want to grab a coffee from Starbucks and browse the fall decor, but this particular store is better for BOPIS, or better yet, go over to Home Goods. This is my first time in this location. Appears to be a newer layout. Very modern. The store is very clean well stocked and well organized. I asked an employee where I could find an item and they actually walked me to the location didn't just point me in a direction or tell me to go find it down and I'll. Target is my go-to store for general purpose items of good quality. I needed a can opener, came here and found a great Calphalon opener at a very reasonable price, on par with similar items in the store. This is a huge and clean target! If you are staying at the many hotels in the area -- I would recommend stopping here for anything you need for your trip. There's a Target cafe and a Starbucks at this location. The bathrooms are extremely well taken care of. We found a lot of cool finds here! Lots of clearanced out items for way cheap. I purchased a skull candy in ear wireless head phones from a target in Lakewood CO. The head phones worked twice and stopped taking a charge. I brought them back to the target in Murfreesboro TN where I live and they refused to take them back. They refused to give me credit! Then the lady said I am over the return date. It says clearly on the receipt return by 11-17-16. What is the date right now 10-28-16.. this is the worst customer service I have ever seen! Do not buy anything at this store. When I get an apology from the lady that is not able to read a target receipt in the returns department. Horrible store. Signage is never up-to-date. Out-of-date food items on the shelf are common. Bathroom always smells horrible. If you have ANY kind of problem, more often than not be ready for a fight to the death, because most of the employees apparently think their job is to be as rude to customers as possible, and, above all else, make sure to never be helpful. Most of the time, I would rather go to Wal-Mart than here, and I hate Wal-Mart with an unbridled passion, so that tells you how I feel about here. This Target always has what we need in stock. The shelves are always stocked. The little cafe offers some great snacks and lunch items. My daughters loves their Pretzel Sticks with cheese sauce. Went to buy an electric toothbrush today and found one I like at a reasonable price. At checkout it scanned $15 higher than the price tag on the shelf. I asked about the price difference and a manager was called, she just gave me a "take it or leave it" look. She would not even bother to check the price tag on the shelf. So I left and ordered it from Amazon sitting in my car in the parking lot. This it not the first time I have seen these bait and switch prices at target. I know in this time corporations are trying to wring every penny from us consumers but this is just flat out theft. Well I tried it after they remodeled. I still like the Smyrna location better, but I do have to say that they store does seem less dirty... The customer service still isn't great. I asked to have the guy at the snack bar fill our popcorn bag halfway, so each child could have their own bag and we didn't end up having a popcorn war in the middle of target...and the guy said no, I can give you an extra bag and you can do it. Well that was a disaster...and I ended up picking popcorn off the floor. They do this all the time at the Smyrna Target for us. This Target just doesn't give me the warm fuzzies. read more

I personally love Target though I've been on a sustainable conscious consumerism tip the past two years though they are catering to that more. This Target is not a "super" Target like the one in Smyrna down the road though it would be nice if it was. The staff are always friendly here and I've never had a major issue here. Returns have always been a breeze, etc. My only issue which results in three stars though I think this has become standard practice at Targets in general is they never seem to have enough cashiers in the evenings with there usually always being a line on busy days. Sometimes they only have two cashiers, and none in the express lanes! This Target needs automated checkout or to add more cashiers at these times. I've seen other Targets with the same problem. Target has a great selection and is just more comfortable than Wal-Mart and perhaps not as "evil." read more

Bought jeans that were not allowed to be tried on due to COVID in March, and they were not accepting returns for a while either. But now, they won't return it even though there was no way to know when they were "accepting" returns again. Special times call for special allowances. Very disappointed in this. read more
