Target's marketing plan has worked on me. The Starbucks at this location ropes me into shopping for needed supplies as well. The next closest Starbucks is a nightmare, so putting one here was a smart move. Because of the location in Seaside Farms, I am in the vicinity every morning. That's the best time to shop here, because parking is ample and very few people are shopping. Quick in and out.... if such a thing is possible. I always have to resist looking around, because they have rearranged the store and put best selling items toward the front where my eyes wander and my shopping urges are tickled. Target is aptly named. Unlike WalMart, they don't have a million choices and almost always have everything I need without running a marathon both in the parking lot and in the store. I thought you grabbed it" "No" And with that, the first place we went to in Charleston was Target. And it was, well, just like any other Target. It was late-night on Black Friday so all the shoppers were long-since shopped out. The store was rather quiet, but wasn't in any post-Black Friday disarray. We got the stuff we needed and got out. And they had Sweetwater 420 Extra Pale. I was planning to explore enough brewpubs and breweries, so there was no need to pick some up then, but it reminded me to stock up on the way home. It's a Target store, nothing more than a store with merchandise. Yes the store is clean inside, but they never seem to empty the trash can outside as it's always full. My usual problem with this store like every other Target is the lack of basic customer service. Lack of greets when walking by store staff and management. Lack of help when on the floor and you have a question, and lack of open registers when you're ready to check out. Then to my amazement the front end supervisor calls for floor help to open up a register and suddenly 3-4 people show up, on Sunday at 4pm. Where was this staff earlier? I never saw them on the floor, now they appear. Then they open up and the customers run to a new open register. But the cashiers lack any good customer service skills, rarely get greeted, they lack customer service engagement skills, and sometimes thank you when leaving. But not today. Ahh, Target. You always know how to get me to spend $100. I really like this location- it's on my way back home from Trader Joe's which means I can avoid the dreaded River's Ave. (I'm new and I know to avoid that road at all costs) I wish that the grocery section was as robust as it was back in Indy, but what they do have is good. Also, this place has a Pizza Hut in the snack bar. Um, where has that been all my life? The other main reason I love Target is because there are so many ways to save money. It's like a game. I use the Cartwheel app plus my RedCard. And yes, I am that crazy person who scans every single item they buy with the app to make sure I'm not missing any sweet deals. My neighborhood Target- it is the best. I often leave any other store and end up saying, "why didn't I just go to Target?" The service reps are SO friendly. It's a pleasure to interact with them. They are exceptionally customer-service-friendly with returns and treat you as a valued customer. The selection of merchandise at the Mt. Pleasant Target is top-notch. From adult and kids clothing to food... granted, produce is not its strength. But I often find things here that I once only found at specialty health food stores- Kombucha, for example. Also a great selection of yogurts, alternative baking flours, and organic products. And these food items are always quite a bit less expensive than at the Harris Teeter down the street. Target, just figure out the produce piece, and I'll never have to shop at another store again. read more

Only one Target in the area! Good gracious! But at least there's a Tarzhay Boutique! Clean, super friendly service (especially on returns). My experience at the Pharamacy has been so-so. Overall, though, I love Target, and it's the same vibe at them all. This one at least is clean and I've been happy with the service. read more

I can see now why this Target only has 3.5 stars! Love the selection (seems much broader than my Summerville Target) but I'm guessing it's because how difficult it is to check out! In the past month I've visited twice at different times of day and the lines have been ridiculous! Also, this didn't affect the number of stars I gave it but I was very surprised to see that there was not a Starbucks or a Target snack bar. Maybe I missed it as each time I checked out I was too busy trying not to let the aggravation of spending 20 minutes shopping and 30 minutes checking out get the best of me. read more

They got rid of their cafe!!!!!! . They replaced it with an overpriced, overrated Starbucks . No more popcorn, icees, pizza etc. Just overpriced coffee and overpriced bland croissants. So sad we used to walk over here to shop and grab some popcorn, icees and a snack for our after shopping (sometimes during) experience. I really don't understand the obsession with Starbucks. Such a ripoff just to have your coffee in a cup with their label. read more

DO NOT attempt to place an online order for pickup at this location. I have placed two in the past three months and each one has taken over an hour to pick up because the staff is so clueless. Nothing wrong with the order, they just can't find the items even though I received confirmation emails both times saying my items were ready for pickup. Their Customer Service desk is also chronically understaffed. read more

This target is always so clean and have friendly employees. I've never been grossed out by the bathrooms or carts. The only problem I've run into has been lack of selection. I've been numerous times and they've been out of a specific formula my daughters on. Its not like they don't carry it because there's a spot just never anything in the spot. Either way my little rant is over aside from back of inventory the stores great on of the best in the area, I prefer it over N. Chuck or Summerville. read more

This is the MILF capital of Mount Pleasant. Come early for the moms in yoga pants and sports bras; stay late for the house wives in black miniskirts and stilettos. It's ridiculous. College student not ready for a commitment? No problem. The CofC girls and Clemson girls LOVE to come here when they visit mom and dad on the weekend. Cut off blue jean shorts? Target has it. The pulled chicken was so tender and moist. They have 5 sauces to choose from, I had the Carolina Sweet and loved it. Casual atmosphere. Our server Michael was very gracious. I highly recommend Sticky Fingers. read more

I usually love Target but I am extremely disappointed. They combined the fitting rooms so men and women share a changing area. This is awful. A young lady should not have to have a man waiting outside her fitting room while she is changing. read more

Who doesn't love Target? Or should I rephrase it this way, what female doesn't love Target? It is one of my favorite places to shop for home goods, sometimes make-up and hair products, and once and a while food. The store is always clean and busy with lots of people. This can get a little hectic in the ladies clothing side but the prices are so good and the fashion is trendy and up to date which is absolutely necessary right? The service desk is very helpful and nice if you have an issue and need to return something. The only craziness is the parking lot. The layout is not conducive to traffic flow when it comes to going in and out of the store. Not sure if there is a way to make it better but I always try to park out of the way due to the congestion of people going in and out. I just wish we had more than one in Mount Pleasant. The drive can be a little out of the way, but I always enjoy going there! read more

Trying to fill a prescription while traveling out of town became a really complicated process. Chris at the pharmacy was so helpful and patient calling other Target locations and other local pharmacies to help fill it. He saved our vacation! So glad I called Target first! read more
