It has been one of the first high rise buildings in Pila and still dominates the flat landscape. Started in the 70s, finished in late 80s, it inevitably brings you back to the soviet times and memories so typical for Eastern Europe. Not all the rooms out of 16-story hotel are renovated, but the ones that had been are clean and OK for a short stay. Nothing fancy, but you cannot beat the location, right at the river in the center of Pila. The prices are still kind of high for what you get, but a great generous breakfast is included. WiFi is free and they offer business rooms if you travel for work. The Restaurant here has a great reputation and a long history of catering and hosting weddings, company events etc. Solid 3 stars from me.
