Wanted to point out Venezuela has its own unique version of guacamole, affectionately called Guasacaca. El Rincon carries on this tradition, and I'm so glad I was able to experience it. I met the owner, one of the very few workers that spoke English, and he explained the make up of this tasty condiment - onion, cilantro, green pepper, salt, garlic, avocado, a little bit of olive oil, and vinegar. EXCELLENT atop my arepa! The entire sandwich melded perfectly, sweet, salty and savory in every bite. The owner gentleman did a great job checking in, the service was fast and efficient, and I never felt rushed. I was really digging the vibe of this eatery, as it seemed to be a true neighborhood spot. All the locals inside, none of the touristy appeal. The food isn't terrific, but it's unique and filling: their daily oferta is around 6€ and features a big fat Chilean sandwich with hearty cuts of beef and lots of juicy tomato, a healthy portion of french fries, and a drink. This place introduced me to the "Oriental Aji Picante" (a thick orange Chilean hot sauce), and so I have a soft spot for it.
