Probably my best restuarant experience ever in Mexico ! My friend (a Poblana) recommended this…read moreplace and she nailed it . The waiters do speak English, not that that it matters to have a great experience in Mexico. We were greeted by a bartender, who was making Whiskey drinks on a cart. Where to begin.. 1) The bbq taco appetizer we had was great. 2) We ordered a 2 KG BBQ Beef platter (forgot the Spanish name) and it easily filled up 3 people, at a price point of about $25.. Well well worth it. 3) The dessert we ordered was one of the best I've ever had. I still dream about the flan we ate + the cheese cake.. they then brought the chef over, we thanked her for the amazing choice.. and she sent us more dessert on the house. 4) The service was efficient, on point, and polite. I'd give this place 6 stars if possible. As a picky New Yorker, you need to come here when you visit Puebla. TRUST ME.

This was the best meal on our one week trip to Mexico (not counting the Thanksgiving dinner at a…read moreprivate residence). As soon as our party of six were seated ,the bartender start us up with the drinks - finally I was able to try the Victoria beer - Amber lager (all Mexican beers are actually lagers). For the main course I ordered the Salmon - medium to well done - the chef nailed it. Across from me party of three enjoyed a BBQ beef platter (I was able to try it in tortilla shell). My DW ordered a "tres" tacos dish, she loved it also. The desert was out of this world - both flan and cheese cake, so we requested the pastry chef for a curtain call, telling her how appreciative we all are of her culinary creations. Now I would like to share a few points when it comes to paying your bill in Mexico (It actually worked the same way at CDMX or Puebla). First of all your will be asking the waiter - "terminal por favor". He or she will bring the card reading machine to your desk (you don't want to give your credit card to process it in the back room, aka in the USA) and do the transaction just before your eyes. Second - You will be asked "propina" - tip, here it goes "diez por ciento" - 10% is a customary and reasonable tip in the Mexico. Granted this is for Spanish speaking waiters, but I was having fun anyway - even if I knew that waiter speaks English. I strongly recommend this restaurant, if anybody will be in Puebla or San Pedro Cholula area.
