They really took the time, evened and solidified everything and paid close attention and care to every detail. They were also really nice and great company :) It's always disruptive when you have to give up your kitchen but they made the whole experience really positive. I definitely recommend both the store for purchasing the tiles and Mike for the installation.

We booked the appointment - they arrived on time, explained everything that they would be doing, returned the next morning early so that we did not have to stay home and wait to put the final coat on, cleaned everything up and gave me tips on when to wash the floor and take care of it. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend them to our friends and family. Merci Planchers M & M Chouinard Inc. Ethel Udashkin

M&M Chouinard were contacted through a recommendation. Their initial inspection of the floors…read moreconfirmed what we knew: the wood was old, in poor shape, and needed extensive work. Fine. After outlining that we are two adults, two teenagers, and three cats living in the space, M&M Chouinard recommended that their mid-range product would be adequate for our needs. Immediately upon completion of the refinishing, it was evident that the sanding/polishing stopped a good three inches away from the baseboards. We were told this was to avoid any nicks to the moldings, and that once the product settled the colour disparity would become less evident. Within two months of their initial work visible scratches could be seen across the floors; again, lots of people & cats using the space, but the amount of wear was immediately worrying. We contacted M&M Chouinard, requesting a follow up to assess the issue. Their rep arrived and seemed unfazed by the damage to the new floors, saying that the product was fine and perhaps we simply used the floors too often. Our options were to leave the newly done floors with clear evidence of damage, or else have them resanded, again, barely three months after initial completion, all the while being charged for the work being redone. We were able to negotiate them down to half the cost of the initial job, and I have no doubt that without arguing they would have been fine charging the same amount to do the job a second time. To add insult to injury, they were late in arriving to do the repair work. Save yourself considerable headache and take your business elsewhere. M&M Chouinard are not up to the challenge of floors that need to be walked on.

In 2021 I saw a crack above the ground level on the side of my house in PinCourt Que…read more Even though there was no way to see if there was a leak into the basement because of the design of the house , I assumed there to be a crack also below ground level and called akton. The technicians did their thing without showing me their work nor taking any photos to show me. It looked as though they had also repaired the crack above ground level..but all they did was smear some cement like material over the above ground crack. Now the above ground crack has returned and I am told that they don't actually repair cracks above ground. My original comment to akton injection was replied by saying that there are no leaks so the repair is successful. All along I told them that I had no way to see if there were or were not leaks..their reply was unprofessional. Basically I spent over 1,000$ with no way to know if the repair was properly done ( apparently now they take photos to leave with the clients. Overall the communication with this company is not acceptable.
