Please note there are several Radisson Blu options in Helsinki, Finland…read more This review is for the Otaniemi Espoo location. 5-stars because Radisson Blu Hotel Helsinki saved us! We were having a few bumps in travel and got into Helsinki in the middle of the night. Our existing reservation said 24-hour front desk but... guess what? Didn't have one. Fortunately, I'd seen Radisson Blu on an app I used and so I called them up to make sure they did indeed have a 24-hour front desk. An hour later, our rental car was parked in their free parking lot and my sleeping 10-year-old and I were safe and sound, cozy and warm on a blustery snowy March night. Now, that said... this place is great and has beautiful views of waterways that come in from the Gulf of Finland. It's a little out-of-the-way from the main downtown but we really loved it. They had an amazing and clean sauna, a small but warm(ish) indoor pool, a delicious buffet breakfast with excellent coffee (included with our reservation but surcharge otherwise), and some fun foosball in the lobby. We used it as a base as it was closer to our friend's house in Espoo and we decided to stay more than that blustery first night because the front desk staff was so friendly and amazing!!! We'd stay here again if in Helsinki! Might see ya there!

Didn't stay here! But this is the only place I can leave a review for this secret little bakery…read morewithin the hotel that anyone can Goto. Such a cute small place which a is accessible from the outside, they have a wonderful assortment of sweet and savory mouth watering items, drinks are coffee, teas, wine and beer. Of course midday I was thinking bubbles ! It took me a hot second to decide from the choices what to eat, so I went with the orange and raisin scone and my glass of bubbly. Also had some toast as it looked so good freshly cut. They have a nice seating area next to the cafe inside or several tables and chairs outside, and as nice as it was outside I went out. Loved the carbs here! The scone was crumbly and zesty, studded with raisins. Washed down well with my glass of bubbly, coffee would be great too! The toast was thick and chewy and so good, not processed tasting at all, freshly baked with good ingredients. Sat outside with lots of birds eager for me to drop something, but I ate every crumb. So delicious. Great place to get a snack anytime. Trust me the choices will leave to wanting to go back.

Excellent staff, nice room, and convenient location! I found this hotel on the BonVoy website as…read moreit is affiliated somehow with Marriott. I arrived earlier than the standard check-in time and and was accommodated with my Marriott Gold Status. After completing some documentation I was provided my keycard and was given a guided tour to my room. The room was in nice condition and had a work desk which I needed. I turned on the thermostat as it was warm upon arrival. I attempted to set my room temperature to 18C but it would only allow me to set at 19C minimum. I went out to see the town for a few hours and came back and the room was still quite warm. I notified the staff and the offered to move me to a cooler room which I accepted. The second room was nice as well but was much cooler. The hotel is conveniently located in the Helsinki City Center and many destinations are walkable. This hotel has two places to eat, a bakery and a breakfast restaurant (buffet-style). I didn't attempt to eat here outside of breakfast as several restaurants are also located within walking distance. I can't say enough how polite and pleasant the staff is here. Four stars!

Scandic Helsinki HUB is a perfect place to regain your strength. The reception area was warm and welcoming and greeted by a wonderful and helpful Host. But, our room was appointed in a thoughtful and caring way. The designs are simple and made the time to rest so peaceful. The rooms are comfortable and well insulated so the room was so quiet. Breakfast was perfect!!! Such a wonderful experience with a Menu so diverse and tasty. All Staff members are well represented by the amazing way they acknowledge you as a Very Important Guest. Wonderful hospitality!!! We'll definitely return to be spoiled and treated with respect.

I won't lie, our stay here started off on the wrong foot. The first hotel room we were given only…read morehad skylights and didn't really reflect what we had booked online and for the amount of money we had spent. The other problem with the room was, it was fairly dirty with smudges mud on the floor and another sign said it was not cleaned well at all. We requested a different room, and luckily it was better, but I would still say the cleanliness wasn't up to the standard I was hoping for for the price point level of the hotel. This hotel is definitely built for conferences and gathering large groups. You'll find meeting rooms, coworking spaces, and a large courtyard attached to the restaurant. It's hard to beat the location across the street from a park and only two blocks from the main Esplanade in Helsinki. The star of the show is definitely the complementary breakfast experience featuring fresh juice, nutrition, shots, crêpes, variety of overnight oats, and several hot dishes with mini being traditional finish offerings. I could've spent hours eating at the complementary breakfast -the courtyard seating outside topped it all off. I will probably stay here again for the breakfast alone. However, I'm a big believer that no how no matter how fancy the hotel room design, if it's not super clean, it doesn't really do it for me.
