We were referred to Marco Alvarez from a community of expats living in Playa del Carmen, Mexico…read morethrough Playa.info. We were in desperate need to have our white leather sofa and oversized armchair reupholstered. The two pieces were cracked, peeling and unsightly to look at.
We contacted Marco regarding his services through WhatsApp and email, and he immediately responded. We agreed on a date and time for him to consult with us regarding our upholstery needs. Marco and his beautiful wife Sonya, showed up at the appointed time and quickly assessed our situation. He and his wife are very personable and speak perfect English, for those of us that don't speak Spanish.
We discussed fabrics, textures, and selected our favorite from his huge sample selection of swatches. We talked about pricing for labor, materials and pick/delivery. He and his wife took the two pieces of furniture that day, and explained they would have them back within one week.
Marco called us this morning (7 days later), and told us he was finished with our furniture and asked if we would be available for delivery. We agreed on a delivery time, and waited anxiously to see the results of his work. When he arrived, our furniture was meticulously wrapped in plastic to keep it clean and dry. In a word, BEAUTIFUL. We were so impressed with his skills. Our furniture looked like we had just purchased it from a store showcase. AND, it matched the rest of our leather furniture perfectly.
His cost was very reasonable and certainly beats the price of purchasing new furniture. He is very professional and provides exemplary customer service. We highly recommended him and will be using his services again.
