SO many varieties of goat, sheep and cows cheese to choose from. I will never get through all of them. The incredible fresh seafood, many still gasping from their very recent plucking from their watery home. Vegetables so unbelievably fresh and beautiful. Spices. They were my main purchase this day. Why bother to fix true Spanish dishes unless you have a great selection of the appropriate spices. Spain, all the devine jamòn. Legs of various aging just waiting to be sliced just for you. Fresh meats that will have your head spinning- I don't know what to cook first. When traveling always check out the local market. Many stalls will offer samples to try. Other have items that can be prepared to travel home with. Some purchases just may not make it out the door they are so delicious. One last tip- go early in the morning 7-8 am for the best selection. And most markets close around 2 pm.
