Great food. One of the best places to go for an informal Sundsy dinner. Homemade dinners and soups.

The entrance does not face the highway so it's a bit difficult to find but worth the effort. The decor is outstanding and I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was for a room that size even when filled with quests. Started off with a Mango Pineapple Slush with Peach Pearls. Delicious and fun. The Dumplings were excellent but the Spring Rolls lacked flavor. The Seafood Scallion Pancake would be better named Scallion Pancake with Seafood. Did not bother taking home the leftovers. The Bulgogi with noodles was good although the vegetables could use some seasoning. Their Teriyaki Chicken followed the same pattern, very good but. Finished up with a shared Mochi Ice Cream which was perfect in every way. Portions are huge so expect to have leftovers. Service was friendly and attentive and food temperature was always as it should be. We will be going back.

They have a series of vegetarian appetizers, but that's not their focus. In terms of the overall experience, the staff is very friendly and on top of things. We ordered takeout, but the online ordering site didn't give us a confirmation of our order. A quick call to the restaurant confirmed that everything was received and already in process. In terms of the food, the wood ear mushrooms and tofu skins was a clear winner. The broccoli was fine, but I would have preferred Chinese broccoli or watercress if they were available. The five spiced eggplant was fine: steamed to a custard-like level of softness, then paired with a salty sauce and served cold. The dan dan noodles were probably best suited for a dine-in experience and didn't really travel well. My partner tells me that the stuffed pork buns were good, but the solid piece of pork in the center was less optimal than something shredded or thinned out with some vegetable matter. All told, this was a good experience. The vegetarian appetizers were good but not exceptional. The various noodle and bun dishes were very nicely crafted. The hand made noodles were a particularly nice touch, with a lot more flavor and texture than I would have ever expected. If I have any requests, it would be for more vegetable centric noodle options.

Have tried multiple things there, there have been no disappointment so far. Very reasonable prices, especially for the area. Overall, top-tier noodle place in the city

Just enjoyed a really nice lunch at this subterranean cafe. The #2 "3 in one maxed noodles" under DRY NOODLE is "most popular," he said, and not very spicy - comprising of #s 1, 3, $ 4 on the dry noodle menu. They're flexible on your preferred spicy level. And #6 on the SOUP NOODLE menu is very popular & not spicy - braised pork rib noodles. Under SPICY NOODLE IN STONE POT - our server recommended #1 spicy beef soup with rice noodle in stone pot. For Appetizers - they were out of the cold skin noodles with peanut butter, but our server also recommended wonton (dumplings) in chili oil. OUR ORDER & ASSESSMENT: Appetizer - the wonton noodles are so good - so silky - and the semi-spicy sauce was really unique. Def would reorder that. Me: the 3 in one noodles - and this gigantic bowl was brimming with unique, flavorful ingredients that our server said I was to stir together. Baby bok choy, tomato chunks, slivered carrot, homemade wide noodles, small pieces of braised pork, scrambled egg, chili powder (not very spicy at all), and slivered scallions ---- a bowl of Chinese comfort food cooked to perfection. Total 5 star dish. Hubs: Spicy beef soup with rice noodle --- a *screaming hot* (temperature- not spice) stone pot filled to the brim with thin rice noodles (look like spaghetti), baby bok choy, and a zesty broth with a fairly good spicy kick. My hubs was just MEH on this dish. The broth - IMHO - just didn't have much depth of flavor. Sis-in-law: spicy max vegetable with rice noodles. Again - the wildly hot stone pot was brimming with homemade rice noodles, silky tofu, but there really weren't many veggies. Bok choy was about it. Odd, we thought. Again - the broth was just ok. All in all, it was a good, reasonably-priced lunch. I will DEF be back!

The menu had many of the expected food items as well as others not so common. On Saturday and Sunday there are many, many more. I always start with vegetable spring rolls. These were especially good. We ordered takeout this time, and the overall experience was great. We placed an order online, and everything was very neatly packaged and ready to go when expected. The food even travelled fairly well, such that it was still in good shape after traveling home. The restaurant itself is in a bit of a drab strip mall, but it's generally nicely decorated with colorful signage and a nicely kept interior. In terms of the food, the shrimp spinach dumplings were really nicely done, with lots of flavor and texture. My partner especially enjoyed the barbecue pork bao, which were nicely steamed with a very flavorful filling. The egg tart was good, but not really my thing. It had a bit of a caramelized sugar flavor reminiscent of waffles with syrup. The spicy oil splashed noodles, one of the noodle dishes on the menu, was generally lacking: some nice toppings, but not much flavor. Overall, this is a nice little place that seems to be fairly well run. I suggest going for the dim sum and giving up on expectations for anything on the menu that isn't dim sum. Find another restaurant for your main course.

We were fortunate to find a parking spot for our vehicle in front of the restaurant, but some free street parking is supposed to be available. The employees promptly and politely served us. The menu listed appetizers (e.g., gyoza and takoyaki), soups (e.g., wonton and tom kha), noodles and rices (e.g., pad Thai, lo mein, and yakisoba), noodle soups (e.g., tom yum and duck noodle), specials (e.g., peanut chicken, steak teriyaki, and grilled mahi mahi), sushi (e.g., salmon, octopus, red snapper, bluefin tuna, and yellowtail), poke bowls, ramen, bento boxes, and desserts (e.g., mochi ice cream, taiyaki, and mango sticky rice). Here are my ratings for what we ate: Thai Iced Tea - 5 stars - My husband really enjoyed the flavors of the tea, milk, spices, and sugar. Umai Sampler - 3.5 stars - This appetizer contained 2 crab rangoon, 2 spring rolls, 2 steamed dumplings, and 2 shrimp tempura. Green Curry Noodle Soup - 3.5 stars - This soup had a large serving size and was filled with nicely cooked rice noodles and vegetables such as broccoli, bell peppers, eggplant, and basil. I did think that it could have contained more coconut milk for a sweeter taste. Furthermore, I had requested a spicy level of 5 or medium, but the waiter recorded 4 and brought me broth that tasted more like 8. Green curry is my favorite Thai food, and this one did not quite match my expectations. Umai Street Noodle - 3 stars - My husband ate this main course. He had requested a spicy level of 2, and it was that level. It contained egg noodles, BBQ pork, wonton, bok choy, bean sprouts, and scallion. He said, "That was as average as average could be." The total price was $55 plus tax and tip.
