The staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and aren't dismissive, respectively. They're here to answer all your questions. They have Locally sourced ice cream, Homemade fudge and Something for everyone. Looking to read on some history about Manitou Outpost? The origins of the Outpost date back to the 1800s where a stock stable was operated. Unfortunately, the building burned down but the Navajo Geyser Pavilion Cafeteria soon rose from the ashes in 1913. Despite the restaurant being successful, the Hiawatha Tours and Navajo Garage would soon take over the building. The Barker Manufacturing Company would be the next business to move in. The company was known for its work with leather as well as selling western style clothing. Finally, in 2003 the Barker Manufacturing Company would be molded into the Outpost as it is today.
