Good service has always been my experience even when they are busy. There is space to sit inside. Has a small parking lot and there is street parking. read more

Wow, probably some of the best tasting pizza I have ever had. I was a bit amazed of the taste and style of the pizza here at Taormina. My first time here, and we ordered some Pepperoni pizzas. The cheese and dough was so fresh and clear of greasy taste and filling. Nice owners and friendly staff here. It looks like your typical Mom and Pop Pizza place with the hole in the wall feeling. Since its National Pizza Day 2024 friends Adam Ginnotti, Dave Cavaliere, and I headed to Paterson to one of those bucket list, iconic pizza places, that I always say you have to visit before they're gone. Taormina Pizzeria & Restaurant was established in 1981, and is still owned and operated by the same family, who emigrated here from Italy. It has been rated as one of the 3 best Pizzeria/Italian Restaurants in Paterson. Old school, small, red-sauce, unpretentious, store front joint serving New York style pizza and other Italian favorites. Portnoy gave them a visit a couple of years ago and admitted he liked the pie despite it not being his style. We were welcomed with warmth and hospitality by the busy counter staff, and had the opportunity to discuss the eatery's history with the son of the original owners, 2nd generation Pizzaiolo. The pie was excellent. Unique in its own way. Heavier, chewier, doughier, and slightly thicker than most, but it all came together to create a delicious pizza. Nice, tasty sauce, with just the right amount if cheese, and perfectly seasoned. I always prefer a plain-Jane cheese pie over one with all those toppings, which I think can ruin a well made pie. We had a great time celebrating "National Pizza Day" at Taormina's, 43 years and still going strong. read more

Solid spot, 2 slices, 2 garlic knots sauce and bottle of water for 8.25. Pizza is a little thick, but a nice crust and def not heavy. Sauce was the star which you don't see very often. But the sauce on the pizza and with the garlic knots was really good. Cheese wasn't over whole slice, or else I might have enjoyed this more. read more

My first time, and I'll definitely be back! I kept it very basic with two plain cheese slices. I like that they do NY style pizza their way. The crust is a bit thicker than I expected, but it has great chew, and a satisfying "doughiness" with a wonderfully crisp underside. Their crust also provides more structure to accommodate a generous serving of mozzarella. The sauce tasted so fresh, tomato-y, and deliciously well balanced, with some sweetness to counter the acidity. The service was warm and gracious, and I have such respect for how reasonable they've kept their prices! I really look forward to returning to Taormina's to try the rest of their menu! read more

Placed an order for a chicken Parm pasta and Italian sub, was told it would be a 15 min wait but I showed up after 30 to give them time . I got there and was told to wait 10 mins . I gave them the time and returned and someone else told me to come back in 15 mins . What kind of a business are these people running ? Pizza is too thick but the sauce was surprisingly sweet. No garlic knots here. No delivery either-this is Paterson people. You probably need extra insurance to offer that. Parking can be challenging so try to make your visit during the day. The dining room is large enough for a group and there is a tv so you'll be ok dining alone as well. This place is amazing, I've been to all the pizzerias in the surrounding towns and I have to say this place makes the best pizza. But that's not what's amazing here, try the grilled chicken spinach and broccoli in a garlic and oil sauce with penne , it's heaven. The chicken is always great quality, the garlic is fresh and they use the best olive oil. I'm a health nut and this is very important to me. Everything on their menu is of the best quality. I used to go to Hackensack to Brooklyn brick oven for a good slice but this place out does them all. From a NYC Girl this pizza is the best I've found In jersey. The females at this establishment seem to be off. The elderly woman charged me for my soda and didn't give it to me. Their pizza, not so good. Neither was the calamari. Reheated, old & chewy. We waited at least 45 mins for our order, figured they would be fresher.
