I love the look and slightly lower profile of these settings. It really shows off your stone. But,…read moreafter 7 years of normal use, my wife lost her very nice engagement diamond while making a bed. We were lucky that we found the stone. Unfortunately, "this never happens" according to Niessing and they couldn't have been less helpful. They would not replace the setting. They would not let us choose a new setting. We are getting the same setting back with her diamond remounted (for a fee, because this is our fault?). Now she will only wear her engagement ring for special occasions. Thanks for an expensive unreliable setting Niessing. If you're planning on using a garnet or other inexpensive stone, this setting may be right for you.
