I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place. I eat here every 4-6 weeks... The food is VERY good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bar is VERY good. This is more of an upscale place. Dinner and drinks and dessert for two is about $100. When I want to go to a nice place and I don't want to drive very far, Tano is our go-to restaurant. We both had the salmon tonight, which is excellent. Their rib-eye and scallops are quite good too (past visits). Good desserts, and I know I've had some good apps but I can't remember what they were. Bottom line: you will like the food. Everyone should eat here. Except when I want to, so I can get a table. read more

Such a cute little bistro from the inside out. Service was okay, but in my opinion should've been elevated a bit. Staff is knowledgeable, but could've been more personable when taking our order. The environment is gorgeous. We sat outside and it's just such a cute spot. I ordered the house salad with salmon and my daughter got buttered noodles. They have a kids menu, but don't advertise it. We are both very happy with our selections and can't wait to come back on a Saturday to enjoy their brunch. read more

Half of the menu was sold out by 7pm. Overall the food was good but I ended up ordering things I didn't love due to the lack of the items I wanted (tacos were sold out, salmon was sold out). Why even put these items on your menu if you can't make enough? Other things were sold out as well since when we were sat the waiter mentioned them as well. Overall it's not a bad place, just don't expect a lot of their listed options past 6 pm. read more

I'm surprised to see so many good reviews on this place. I've been here about four times because people like to meet here due to the location. The location is perfect and I admit, the Sunday brunch is good. The prices are way above the quality of the food. It's very mediocre and nothing special. I recently ordered a margarita in a Dora cup at the window. It was half full and $11. She asked if we wanted her to add water to make it full. Great place for a date night! The lobster Brie dip appetizer was delicious. I had the grilled chicken and my date had the stuffed salmon: both dishes were served piping hot and were very good. Went in for a Sunday brunch and this place is my favorite restaurant in Hamilton so far!! The food here was delicious and the ambiance in the patio was great with a view of the Marcum park. Service was a bit slow but wasn't that bad. Overall I highly recommend! Would definitely comeback for dinner soon. read more

I got the house salad with grilled chicken. The salad was fresh and large. The chicken could have had some flavor, but it wasn't bad. Everything else was a huge letdown. The crab cakes were really awful. Very salty? And an odd texture. My friend got the turkey club and mashed potatoes. The club was just such a sad, thin sandwich. The bread was stale and falling apart, it was already very thin slices. It had exactly one piece of bacon. One small dot of sauce. The potatoes were cold to Luke warm. They had no flavor. This is a great date restaurant. The menu has a lot of options. They have a wonderful patio. We had the burger, Salomon wrap and the tanacho. The food was flavorful, good portions and fresh. Great Sunday Brunch spot. I really enjoyed the entire experience for my family of 3. My son had the French toast and said it was the best he's ever had. I had the club sandwich and it was fantastic. Really loved the atmosphere at Tano. The staff was all super friendly and helpful. We sat outside on the patio because the weather was beautiful and our view overlooked a park. The food was pretty good, and I genuinely enjoyed my pulled pork sandwich and house salad, yet I found that my sandwich bun did get soggy from the meat which was slightly disappointing. That still definitely didn't detract too much from my experience, and I would recommend Tano to anyone as a great find in Hamilton! read more

A great place to lunch and have a conversation. This is one of the best local restaurants I have tried in a long time! Everything was excellent, especially my sweet potato and veggie soup! That's right, a sweet potato soup that was not gloppy but, rather, full of flavor, great consistency and veggies were perfectly cooked. I've waited to post my review after I've eaten here a couple times. I really want this place to be a five star... but as of current it's just not. I can only speak for my brunch experience. Had eggs Benedict once and mofongo once. Service was good but I am not sure how familiar the staff is to serving children. I was there with my sister and two nephews, one being two. My sister asked for a fruit cup ASAP as he was getting fussy and after waiting about 15 minutes when my sister asked about the order the waitress said she was waiting to bring it out with the appetizer! (Fortunately no melt down occurred) The sprouts and snouts appetizer was my favorite of both of the meals. I felt the eggs Benedict lacked enough hollandaise sauce and it was too dry and lacked flavor. The mofongo was interesting but I wasn't a fan. I've never had mofongo before to compare it to so maybe it was just my personal preference? I love pork belly and plantain so I'm still glad I tried something new. My mom tried the fish tacos and felt it lacked flavor and was a bit too soggy and my nephews chicken tenders was kind of burnt but he seemed happy with it For the price you pay I'm just expecting a bit more in the quality and flavor department. This place is still new so I'll try lunch or dinner sometime in the future and see how it goes! read more

We ordered off the Taste of Two menu and got the stuffed shrimp with fried smashed potato with broccoli. What I got was shrimp with rice and no veggies. We told the waitress and she brought out mashed potato and broccoli. We said "where's the fried smashed potato"? She shrugged and said they had a menu change and kitchen was confused. This place is phenomenal. The ambiance is great--super modern. The music is definitely a perfect level for background noise. Not too loud, but just loud enough to drown out the conversation next to you. We sat at the bar and had Lauren--she was amazing. She made great drinks, had great, light conversation, and took great care of our order. I have a dairy allergy and she made sure I had no issues. When we went to order dessert a woman came out to explain that everything had dairy but if we let her know we were coming ahead of time the pastry chef would make something special for us to enjoy. I've heard people rave about this place for years but frankly I was unimpressed. This place is extremely overpriced, their menu is pretentious and the food was underwhelming. I tried the honey risotto appetizer with ciabatta bread which was actually pretty good. I followed that up with the fish tacos which were absolutely horrid. I believe the fish was off. Even if it wasn't the overall dish was not tasty and really just trying to hard to be fancy. My colleague got the pork chop and she said it was great. I'd like to go back but I'm not sure I will. The ribeye sounded appealing but damn for $65 they must be pretty proud of it. read more
