Happily stumbled upon Radio Cafe when we were waiting for our Airbnb next door to be ready. The…read moreowner used to be involved with a public radio station during communism, so the place looks like it's been frozen in time with books, magazines, and pictures of political figures, revolutionary activists, and past events. The warm lighting, cozy booths and tables gives an old library vibe.
We had a couple hours to kill and the staff were really cool about us taking our time. Everything we had was delicious! The macchiato was made perfectly. The Zurek soup was incredibly comforting and flavorful. The mushroom and sauerkraut Pierogis were about the same as everywhere else, which was consistently good. We finished off with a nice vanilla ice cream, which came with soft cookies and blueberries.
It looks like this place hosts events and shows as well. It'd be perfect for poetry slams.
