Like ross before me, I cannot help but mention the interior of Tanat-Jones and Co; it looks a bit like the set of a 1980 American drama, filled with leather chairs and tasteless giant desks. Tanat-Jones as a company, and in fact as people, seem to be as a gem among the gravel of Brighton's blundering, officious and money-minded fraternity of property mongers. I rented a flat from them in Hove for just over two years and felt more like the place was my own than rented accommodation. The reasons for this have more than one face and it's not all good news. To put a positive outlook on things I was left un-hassled and had the pleasure of renting small Victorian flat with some friends in a street that was picturesque and had the best sense of community I've come across anywhere in Hove. Beyond some horribly old-fashioned interior design, I didn't have any real problems with Tanat Jones. On the plus side, literally five minutes after arriving at their offices and informing them of my desire to let a two bedroom property, I was being showed round a flat a brief walk away. Furthermore the service during that viewing was fine, and the agent had a friendly and informative demeanor. Unfortunately though, the building we saw had had its front window smashed in, and was generally in a shoddy condition, so my Tanat Jones adventure ended pretty swiftly after starting. read more
