With all the new boba places opening in Atlanta, Tancha reigns as my favorite. Each drink is a different desserty flavor, from tart and light or rich and decadent, or a combination if you're feeling adventurous! I always get the mango creamio, a thick mango slush with agar boba and grapefruit at the bottom, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It is the perfect balance of sweet and tart that doesn't leave you with a toothache after. My friends let me try their lemon yakult and orange green tea slush, two of Tancha's lighter drinks. I really adore the thought into packaging for a really lovely picture. The yakult adds a slight creamy flavor that is complimented by the lemon well. And honestly, how could you go wrong with a green tea slush? If you're craving a basic boba or a dessert, I recommend making the trip to Tancha. They have plenty of seating and wifi, so you could come and camp out if you'd like. They are quick as they can be when dealing with many customers, which I appreciate the urgency. It is newly refurbished which I like, and they kept their signature mini van seating (you'll have to see what I mean)! I would love to get their fried fishballs with passionfruit/tamarind sauce the next time I'm there.
I love Tan-Cha! I was legit so sad when the Duluth location closed down. We were regulars there. So glad this location is still around. Their drinks are good. Some of my go to -fruit tea -matcha with tiramisu foam -grapefruit slushie -mango with the cheese foam They also have some snackies you can order. The popcorn chicken and firecracker shrimp are yummy. Service is friendly and drinks are made to order. Team Tan-Cha!
This seems like more of a spot for people that enjoy things like cheese foam, tiramisu brulee, etc. But even if that's not you, they still have a lot of solid and high quality choices that are more basic. I got regular sweetness in my tea and my first sip was sweeter than I expected. But I quickly got used to it, and the sweetness would be nice if I had ordered some of their hot food, which I do want to try next time.
One of my favorite go-to boba shops!! I love the tiramisu foam drinks as a special sweet treat. My personal go-to is the royal ceylon. We were so lucky to be able to get them to cater one of our events as well and will definitely consider it for the future! Kailyn was amazing to work with and made sure everything went smoothly for our event, even accommodating our ask to add a special customization to our drink order!
This place is always a hit or miss, never consistent. Often misses than anything. After today I'll never come back. I got the roasted oolong milk tea today with 25% sugar. It is EXTREMELY sweet! As in you taste diabetes in one sip. I'm so disappointed as I've been going here since they first opened. A few times that they messed up my drink, I just let that go but the drink today is just poorly trashed. You can't taste the tea or the roasted notes of oolong, but instead purely sugar. Very disappointed and waste of money. As you can see in the photo, color is super light cause it's just iced, milk and sugar. Zero taste of tea. Worst milk tea I've ever had.
My husband and I visited on a Saturday late afternoon. The service was good and the place was aesthetically decorated. The service as good. We ordered the Red Bean Milk Tea with Tiramisu and the Matcha Expresso. Both were delicious. Seems like a great place to have quiet catch up session with friends or to study.
Literally my favorite boba place in the Doraville area for their large variety. They do so much, AND they do it well! I'm never disappointed when I come here. Ambiance is always nice and cute. They have a Volkswagen inside the shop that has been converted to a seating area which is super cool! This time, I got the Royal Ceylon Milk Tea with Tiramisu Foam and caramel boba, and my boyfriend got the Mango Creamio. The milk tea itself and the boba were both pretty standard, but what really shined was the tiramisu foam. The lid of the drink has a rotating door-like thing to make a large opening to fit a spoon to dig into the top and eat the foam along with sipping your tea. They also provide the cutest little shovel-shaped spoons in a container on the counter where you pick up the drinks. That is ingenious. The foam tasted amazing. Basically like scooping the top creamy part of an actual tiramisu dessert and eating it. The Mango Creamio came with a little scoop of mango ice cream on top. It had the same type of lid/top as the tiramisu drink. The menu didn't say what the pink stuff was at the bottom of the creamio, so we were pleasantly surprised to find out that it was blended grapefruit. It created a nice flavor match with the rest of the mango milk tea drink. Overall, another great visit to Tan-Cha. Can't wait to try more unique drinks from them in the future.
The ambiance of this place is cute and mellow. It's light and bright, clean, and the chairs are comfy. Might be a nice place to have a small group meeting or a place to get a little work done (though I don't see outlets). The options are expansive and not what I'm used to, but I'm excited to try the different types of drinks (cheese foam, matcha foam, creamio milk tea, tiramisu foam, et Al). It's helpful that there are pics of the different types of drinks next to the menu so you can get an idea of what each drink is like. Service was nice. Like more traditional tea shops, you can customize your sweetness and ice level. Hubby and I ordered matcha expresso, fresh grapefruit slush (less sweet), and red Jade milk tea with tiramisu and boba (less sweet). Drinks took a little while to come out as they are a bit short staffed. They were out of lychee jelly when we went. Drinks were excellent! Hubs really liked the matcha expresso. I don't like a lot of sweet and the slush was perfect for a hot day. Tiramisu topped milk tea was my favorite!
Atmosphere: Tan-Cha is a clean, bright boba spot. A light blue truck converted into a seating area serves as a center point of the shop's decor. Service: Though there were a couple of other customers ahead of us, our order still took a bit longer than expected to come out. Food: We ordered the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea and the Brown Sugar Milk Tea, both at 70% sweetness. The Roasted Oolong Milk Tea had a nice, subtle toasted flavor that was pleasantly balanced by the sweetness and milk. The Brown Sugar Milk Tea tasted a bit watered down, but the flavors of the tea and brown sugar still came through nicely. Even though we ordered them at the same level of reduced sweetness, the Roasted Oolong tasted sweeter, which we were surprised by. Overall: Tan-Cha is a great place to grab a quick drink or spend some time with friends in its bright and inviting atmosphere. We hope to come back and try some of their other unique drink options.
A more premium spot if you're willing to splurge a little bit more (prices start at $6). The previous time the hubs and I had the royal ceylon milk tea w/ tiramisu foam and some popcorn chicken. The royal ceylon milk tea was pretty tasty, but the tiramisu foam on top made it better. You use the little shovel/spoon to scoop the foam on top. The popcorn chicken was pretty average. Some pieces were tougher with a hardened exterior. The chicken wasn't super juicy or tender. An all around meh experience with the nuggets. The sauce was a nice touch. Recently, we tried the avocado creamio. I am definitely a fan as it was super delicious with surprise (clear) bubbles at the bottom. With 70% less sugar, my taste buds still had enough sugar. With it being one size, it was a nice sharing drink after a full dinner. There's always some room for dessert/bubble tea!
Completely hooked onto their Osmanthus Oolong with Agar Jelly. Some days I would get two and once three at a go. AMBIANCE 5/5 The music selection is always good here. Once the music was definitely way too loud. I like how bright the place was. Not sure if it is a conducive place to do work here. My phone reception was so bad here. DRINK 5/5 Osmanthus Oolong with Agar Jelly just so good! It lured me back week after week. Mmm... FOOD 5/5 Tried their firecracker shrimps, 100% delicious! Their sweet chili goes so well with the fried shrimps. SERVICE 5/5 Service always good! The staffs definitely on the quiet side.
We were in the area running errands and happened to stumble upon the shopping plaza Tan-cha was located in. I looked it up and decided to try it out since the reviews were so positive on yelp. I tried the Royal Ceylon tea with tiramisu foam and the fried fish tofu. I will say I was a bit skeptical because I wasn't sure "tiramisu foam" would be good on a bubble tea. And man was I so wrong, but I'm glad to be proven wrong haha. It was so so good, I really enjoyed it. My fiancé doesn't really like bubble tea or sweets and even he was impressed. The fried tofu was good too but not a must for me. The only thing I'll say though, is it's quite pricey. My drink with pudding jelly was $6.70. I'm not sure I've ever paid that much for a non alcoholic beverage lol. Definitely a treat. The interior was really nice, very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our drinks came out fast too. I'd recommend to try out if you are in the area! read more

This is my second or third time visiting this place and it's becoming one of my favorite tea spots in the area. Service is always spot on and the place is always kept clean. I ordered a Yo-avocado with yogurt popping boba and lychee jelly with regular sugar. My favorite part of this drink was the popping boba that added an even more yogurt flavor to the drink. The avocado flavor was subtle and not overly sweet and I feel like the drink needed to be mixed really well to get all flavors at once. Overall good experience! read more
Another boba shop joined Buford Hwy! Located on the far left side of Clover Plaza. Parking: Shared with several shops in the same plaza. The interior is cute. White marble themed with a decorated van as you walk in. Cute but a waste of space IMO. I suggest leaving some menus as people walk in instead so patrons can get acquainted with the menu instead of waiting to get to the cashier and holding up the line. Drinks: Royal Ceylon Tiramisu Milk Tea with Foam and Boba ($6.25): Y U M! This drink is creamy, and boba is fresh and chewy. I really enjoyed this drink except for its hefty cost. Truly a treat but not something I would consume regularly. Plain drink without foam is $4.50. If you want the foam, it's +$1.00, and caramel boba is +0.75. You get a little shovel to mix the foam and drink together. Neat concept. Red Jade Milk Tea with Foam ($5.50): Tasty. This was my first time trying red jade milk tea. The aroma is nice and a bit stronger than the royal Ceylon. Worth trying! The two above have a very light-barely there- tea taste for anyone not a fan of tea. Brown Sugar Latte: I think I got diabetes after taking a sip ._. It's excruciatingly sweet, and that's coming from someone with a major sweet tooth but even this was wayyyy too much. I would pass. Service: Can be very slow. The menu is not projected on the two displays overhead and menus are located at the cashier. I think it'll be very helpful in moving the line along if the menu is easily accessible while people are standing in line. Also, the lines are cramped in the left corner of the store. There is tape on the ground indicating where to stand assumed to be 6 feet apart but when groups of patrons come in, that's hardly the case. Overall, Tan Cha is a solid spot. read more

This is a new cute bubble tea shop and it has a lot of potential !!! I've already been a few times and wouldn't mind to come back again and again. I get the Ceylon milk tea with boba and tiramisu puff. the boba is really chewy and sweet and I have no complaints. The containers the drinks come in are sturdy and made of high quality too. They also have little shovels for spoons so it's a nice touch. They have a little photo op area with an old car there. I've been when it was decorated fall and now it's Christmas. I hope they keep it up bc this sets them apart easily from other shops and it's a fun place and things to look at. read more

I've been to this place twice so far and I am still looking forward to coming back for more. Overall, my favorite is still the super fruit tea with less sugar. This new boba tea spot is clean and bright. I love their decor, perfect for pictures if you know what I mean. Parking- open space/free parking lot. Price- just like any other boba tea places- pricey. Hopefully they'll have discount deals or punch cards in the near future. Staff- kind and professional You can chill there but they X out every other table due to covid. read more
I usually like Tancha, but this time was different. Most of the drinks we ordered were fine. Until, my sister was using the mini shovel they give you to eat her tiramisu foam and found paper in it. She didn't open her straw yet so the paper was not from there. We also got charged for the tapioca in three drinks but only got like 10 pearls in each cup. read more
First time to Georgia and my brother took us to a different bubble tea place everyday. This was the best one out of them. The foam on top is so fluffy and you can taste the mascarpone cheese. The other bubble tea place we've been to also have good flavor but you cannot really taste the tea. It is bubble tea after all. This place finds a good balance of tea and other flavor. read more
This place gives me a very clean environment vibe and the employees are very friendly. I ordered their lemon yakult and I wish i could drink it everyday. So good. I've also tried their super fruit tea and I usually don't like fruit teas but this is better than some places I've tried. They have cute shovel spoons so you can eat and mix the different types of foam they offer (cheese foam, tiramisu foam or the matcha foam.) But I like to take one even when I don't need it because it's cute lol. They also have a mini van inside where you can chill in and take cute pictures with. read more

The best Boba I've had in a longgg time! This place has a super welcoming atmosphere that you notice as soon as you enter. Everything is incredibly clean and the decor is amazing - especially in the winter when they have string lights and Christmas decorations. The workers are always friendly and assist with what to order. They never go wrong with a classic black milk tea or the uni matcha. read more

This spot lives up to the hype! Came here Friday night at 10pm and it was fairly busy. There's plenty of seating and parking for the shop. I'm not usually a foam person when it comes to my bubble tea, but I decided to step out of my usual and ordered the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with Tiramisu Foam. My fiance ordered the Mango Creamio (?) which had grapefruit puree at the bottom, a mango smoothie portion in the middle and vanilla ice cream. We added boba to both drinks. Both were delicious!!! Strong oolong tea flavor and the boba was perfectly chewy. The winner was the tiramisu foam though. It was so good I literally used my finger to lick it up! No shame. The Mango Creamio had a lot going on with it but it was such a great. Fresh, creamy, strong mango flavors and the grapefruit puree cut the sweetness nicely. If you're thinking about it, check it out! I'll definitely be stopping by when I'm in the area again read more

This is one of the bubbletea places open later (until 10pm) and it's a fun little cafe! The bubbletea quality is actually quite good, nice brewed tea flavor comes through, soft bubbles, and sweetness levels can be adjusted. The cool VW bus inside is a fun little hideaway. read more
Tan-Cha is OTP on Buford Highway not too far from 285. R and I came here late last night after the Braves' home game. Finding Tan-Cha and parking were both easy to find. Tan-Cha was the only business in the two story multi-business building that had its outside lights on and lots of cars parked in front of it. The parking lot is free and has more than enough available spaces after 9 pm. With the bright lights inside shining outward through the floor-to-ceiling windows, we could see spacious, modern, open spaces, mostly white/cream walls, small groups of people lounging at tables ... and ... WHAT? ... an old VW van parking INSIDE the store(?)!! I'm not sure of the back story of the VW, but it looks like a nice cozy conversation area that can fit a small group at a time and a group of four people sat in the van during the time we were in Tan-Cha. When R and I went inside, there was a short line ahead of us. There were four people ahead of us, and this gave us time to take a closer look at things. All employees wore face masks and they looked very busy. There were many tables, some of them which had been pushed together to allow for a couple of larger groups of customers, and all of the tables, except for two that were blocked off, were spaced out to allow for proper social distancing. The line winds around, passing the food menu that is posted on the wall. The drinks menu, as with anything else that gives me lots of possible choices, intimidated me, with the drinks listed by type: tiramisu foam/brulee; cheese foam; matcha foam; cream milk tea; brown sugar; fresh fruit tea; and special drinks. The menu has a list of toppings also. Luckily for us, there weren't any customers behind us in line, so, when it was time for us to place an order, we asked the employee at the order counter about all of the different types of drinks. The employee was so patient, knowledgeable, helpful and nice, and took the time to explain to us about the different types of drinks. In the end, R ordered a Super Lemon Tea with regular sugar and less ice. I ordered a Bubble Milk Tea Creamio, but I was told that they ran out of boba. Oh no! I have to make a different decision of what to get! The employee noticed my look of concern, so she suggested that I order the bubble milk tea cream but consider the different types of boba, like caramel boba, agar boba or the yogurt popping boba, and choose one of them. I asked her to tell me more about the various bobas, and she did. The yogurt popping boba really intrigued me, so I ordered that in the milk tea creamio with 30% sugar and regular ice. We also ordered the popcorn chicken to share. Most of the tables were taken, so R and I took a table between two large groups. While we waited for about 20 minutes, customers keep coming in, and the line got very long. Just about all of the customers in line took their orders to go. We finally got our drinks, but hadn't received the popcorn chicken yet. R said that his tea was good, but, although it was lemony in flavor, he wished the lemon flavor was even stronger. I thought my bubble milk tea creamio was perfect! The substitution of the yogurt popping boba instead of the regular boba made this drink even better, and the 30% sugar was sweet enough for me. The light colored yogurt popping boba balls weren't always easy to see in my light colored drink, and these boba balls were firm enough to stay intact, but there was a short lasting explosion of pleasant yogurt flavor when I bit into the yogurt popping boba. I highly recommend getting the yogurt popping boba if you like the taste of yogurt. The employees messed up on our order of popcorn chicken, and R had to remind them that he hadn't received it. Apparently, the order got "lost." Anyhow, after they got their reminder, it took about 5 minutes to make, and the popcorn chicken was piping hot. There was a sweet and spicy red sauce that came on the side, and it went well with the chicken. Overall, a good experience! read more
Visited during the Yelp Elite event. Cute store, friendly people and an awesome drink made for a very pleasant experience. The wall art, the van, the bright atmosphere is perfect for an instagram moment. I tried the super fruit tea with lychee jelly. It was refreshing. I also found out they sell snacks. Will definitely be trying those next time. The only thing that felt off were the prices. The drinks are pretty expensive. Will reommend this place. It's great for hanging out with friends and family. All the teas that we tried were very good. I don't have much of a sweet tooth though, so the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with Boba and White Peach Oolong Tea with Cheese Foam were a tad too sweet for me. Next time, I would ask for less sugar. read more

Tan-cha is by far my favorite place to go to for speciality tea/sweet drinks. I always get the super fruit tea (with less sugar) and it's perfect and refreshing. I love the popcorn chicken with spicy seasoning as a snack to cut the sweet drinks. Tan-cha is a must have!! read more
Limited parking right by the store. Dine in is available, it was pretty crowded when I went. The decor is really cute inside, you can take some nice pics. The wait was a bit longer than usual. They have a decent selection of different teas as well as snacks. High Mountain Green Tea with Cheese Foam: it was delicious! Nice and refreshing and the cheese foam added the perfect amount of saltiness. You can get a cute little shovel spoon to scoop out the cheese foam if you want. The first time I came I also tried the popcorn chicken with spicy sauce on the side. So good! Highly recommend. Will definitely be back again! read more
Just when I thought BuHi finally had enough boba/coffee/drink shops, Tan-Cha proves me wrong. Tan-Cha has easily become my favorite place for drinks. Whenever anyone from out of town visits, this is a go-to place. The interior is just so bright and inviting. Tables are distanced appropriately apart for seating. They offer small bites, a variety of drinks (including cheese foam, tiramisu foam, matcha foam, milk tea, fresh fruit tea, and some special teas like slushes/espresso/brulee drinks. The wait for drinks is a little longer than other boba shops, but you can see that they truly make their drinks from scratch. I'm obsessed with the Tiramisu foam. I usually try out a different drink from their Seasonal Popular Drinks list and I haven't been disappointed. Also, their cups are super cute with such a well thought out design - so cute that people I've taken have saved their cups for display at home. If you get a drink with foam, don't forget your shovel! Overall, I would highly recommend Tan-Cha. I'll definitely be back very soon. read more

So cute!! their drinks are so different and cool adds. they have different kinds of cheese foams, like tiramisu, matcha and cheese. the drinks are very pretty. they have a little bus inside that adds to the nice aesthetic. their taro is fresh taro, taro paste, not the fake powder so extra delicious! read more

Tan-Cha! A super trendy and popular bubble tea place on Buford Hwy. I have been to Tan-cha quite a bit and I found out that I love their High Mountain Green Tea with light cheese foam. The green tea mixed with the cheese foam is perfect. *But* I have to make sure I say light on the cheese foam or else I'll finished my tea with still a mountain of cheese foam. Also, I recommend the chicken nuggets with their passion fruit sauce. It's pretty good but make sure you give them time to make it! Overall, Tan-Cha is one of my favorite bubble tea place on Buford Hwy. Definitely top 3! read more

"Great...another boba spot in Chamblee?" You're right, but this place is outstanding. What makes this place unique are their brûlée and tiramisu drinks - I highly recommend trying these if it's your first time instead of settling for your usual safe options. My personal favorite are the grapefruit slush and the orange green tea slush. The teas and drinks are freshly made. They also serve snacks - popcorn chicken, fish balls, fish tofu, etc. These are served with chili, passion fruit or tamarind sauce. I've never really been disappointed coming here, aside from the times where they've been busy and sell out some items from the menu. I'm also kinda sad they don't offer grass jelly as a topping which is my go to. I love this place so much, I would go out of my way to come here even though I'm no where close to this area. But! I heard planning to open 2 locations in Duluth and Buford. Can't wait! read more

I heard nothing but good things about Tan-Cha so I wanted to check it out. To me, their boba drinks are different. You don't find taro flavors here. It's more fancy. I wasn't too fond of most of the flavors. I settled for fruit tea. It was my mistake that it's Passion Fruit Jasmine Tea base. I have to not buy anything jasmine at any boba places now. The floral taste is too strong for me. The drink itself is good. I let it water down. The fruits are delicious. Interior wise. It is gorgeous with a few spots to lounge. I would go back. TIRAMISU FOAM!!! Ahhh, the tiramisu foam that you can add to the top of your drinks is SOOOO GOOD. I love tiramisu outside of its foam form, so this was perfect! I order one of their top drinks the Royal Ceylon Tea which is a delicious creamy, fresh tea that is so soothing to my mouth. I LOVE IT! I also of course add boba to this. Tan-Cha is a little on the pricier side, but it might be to their specialization in the tiramisu foam, sturdy STURDY cup packaging, and cute spoon shovels as well. read more
Stopped in one Thursday to grab a drink to go. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I got the brown sugar latte with boba. I got it less sweet and with light ice. They made my drink quickly! The inside is cute and would be nice to hang out with a friend to enjoy your boba! My drink was so tasty and exactly how I liked it! One of the cooler boba places I've been to! This place is known for their more dessert type boba. They have a nice variety of super unique flavors. I ordered their top selling drink, the Royal Ceylon Milk tea with tiramisu foam and caramel boba! The drinks were more expensive than your standard boba drink, but the quality of drink will have you coming back for more! The drinks do come in a good size (only one size) but it's enough to fill you up.. it's kind of like eating a separate meal. The Royal Ceylon has a rich black tea flavor and the tiramisu foam was super creamy and tasted exactly like tiramisu with a tad bit of salt. The caramel boba was also super sweet and added another layer of goodness to the drink. Loved every bit of it and the place is pretty upscale and modern. Will definitely be returning to try something new! read more
Aesthetic boba cafe and yummy drinks! Doraville's newest boba spot - located on Buford Highway in the plaza right before Yi Fang. I got the Royal Ceylon Milk Tea with Tiramisu Puff Cream and it comes with a cute shovel to mix your drink (Ceylon tea is a type of black tea from Sri Lanka.) This drink is definitely a dessert in a cup. I got it with less sugar and with boba.
