Out of 3 pieces, all were uncooked in the middle, this became an advantage for reheating in the sandwich press. Malai Kofta: Excellent. The dumplings themselves were absolute perfection. The sauce suffered slightly from a snotty texture, misfortune at the hand of cornflour. The sauce flavor was good though. Palak Paneer: LOADS of cheese! And good cheese too. Texture of the curry wasn't great and it could use more spice, but otherwise good. These guys could be a serious contender(may have been an off night) I think the phone system here is on its way out. Very crackly and flat, hard to hear and understand.

This place has one of the best butter chickens i have ever had! I ordered 3 choices with rice and the nann bread. On my plate there was Lamb rogan josh, butter chicken and mango chicken for $10.90 and the serving was huge! I got through 75% of it. And was stuffed to the brim! The ladies there are absolutely beautiful, great service! I left with a content belly, and a hunkering for more the next time I'm out that way absolutely loved it!

I looked up Star of India on the internet before I went, just so I could know what to expect. The…read morereviews were almost unanimously bad or average, but by then I had already planned to go there, and I'm loathe to change plans, so I decided to give it a shot anyway. Those reviews only left me unprepared for a nice meal! It was delicious, as good as any Indian meal I've ever eaten. I ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala, which arrived steaming hot, on a steaming hot plate, radiating the most mouth-watering smell, I nearly drooled all over myself. Next were the garlic naans, which were soft and chewy in all the right proportions. The waiter was adorable. He seemed shy and nervous, while being very attentive and helpful at the same time. He noticed that my date had not ordered any raita with his rice (for he is unschooled in the ways of Indian dining), and offered him some mint chutney for free. Which my date greedily downed, of course, extolling its virtues the whole way through. The chicken was excellent, it was moist, and yielding, and scrumptious. The naans were delicious, and the service was good. The only downside; the rice was a little clumpy. That was a bit of a disappointment, but it wasn't overly unpleasant. All this, for less than $12 each, which I think is a downright steal.

Well we were thoroughly impressed with this restaurant and its meals! First off we started with samosas that were the size of our hands, with a mint yoghurt which was delicious! Next off we chose for our mains we chose butter chicken and a vegetarian lentil dish because the voucher stated one meat and one veggie dish. And the portion size was absolutely perfect! In which both mains were accompanies with naan bread and rice! So much food and flavour it was great! And then finished off with a shared desert which was like cake ball in some sort of syrup. Delicious and sweet! :) This place is amazing and a must try. The atmosphere could have been a bit better since there was no music playing until another diner asked for music to be played. Over all an excellent food and dining experience, looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes!

The restaurant itself was very weird such as a few ikea tables here and there, the door to the restaurant was extremely stiff and hard to open. The restaurant food was good but I would do this only as a takeaway meal. They offer free home delivery for orders over $40 and the destination has to be in a 5km radius. I give this a 5/10 rating and 3/5 star rating due to lack of tables and the stiff door.

Water for the table came with only one glass, I like both coke zero AND water with my meal so had to ask for another. No glass offered for the coke. I'm ok with that but it should at least be offered. Overall an ok experience. Don't avoid it by any means, but don't expect the world.
