If you're ever in Old Orchard Beach, Maine I would like to suggest you visit Tami Lyns Place at 126 w grand ave. I got the chicken Parmesan and cheese sub !! It was pretty perfect! I loved the sub rolls they serve them in! Tiffany Drake ordered the haddock tacos and love them !! We also ordered a side of onion rings, and they were delicious as well. The owners were very nice, and I had an enjoyable conversation with them while I waited for the food to be made. Very cozy spot to stop in and enjoy a nice breakfast. The service was fantastic, and food was like a nice home cooked breakfast. While my wife didn't not care for the home fries, I liked them a lot. Fresh thin sliced potatoes a little different than most places, but enjoyable. Worth the price, which might seem to be on the high side but you can tell the ingredients are quality and it's a HEARTY pizza! I'm not a big pizza person but theirs hits the spot every time! Gouge gouge gouge. Not wanting to get in the car and go to an off- beach store for batteries for the kids bubble machine. I said hey why not try this place and get a four pack of AA's. Holy price gouge Batman! I knew something was rotten when the guy said "how many you need?" I mean don't they typically come in packs? Rhetorical, of course they do and here they came in a 48 pack. I said how much are they? He said "two bucks each batteries are expensive you know" Again it's for the kids so..,... They guy proceeds to put four silverish batteries in a brown paper bag. Not til I got back to the house did I realize I'd been sold 4 Sam's club batteries for $8+ tax+ credit card fee. Now I don't mind a merchant making a profit but a 48 pack of members mark is $21 bucks or 0.45 cents each. So 350+% profit not too shabby. read more

I have been coming to OOB for the better part of my life (first as a child and now as an adult) and I don't know how we have missed Tami Lyn's place up until this point. This is a grab-a-quick sandwich kinda place, and what they do, they do well. I had a delicious, super-stuffed turkey club, my husband had a fried haddock sandwich, and my daughter had a plain old hot dog. The dog was pretty basic but came on a classic, buttered and grilled split top roll. The haddock was golden brown, hot from the fryer and served on a potato bun with tartar on the side. My club (photo included) was giant and was served with battered, seasoned fries that seemed to be fresh cut. If they weren't, they were better-than-most frozen fries. We're always looking for a quick place to grab lunch during a midday beach break and this place is a reasonable walk from The Edgewater so we figured we'd give it a try because of the Yelp rating. The chef does a fine job fixing breakfast in a very casual setting but it is the attitude of the fellow working the front of the house which needs improvement. I asked if I could have a glass of tap water and was told that if I wanted water I would need to buy a bottle. I understood that some restaurants have this policy and politely declined water - absolutely no problem. When my party went to pay our bill, this fellow confronted me with,"Here's the guy who is too cheap to pay a dollar for water." Then he added,"That's why restaurants fail." Well, young sir, as a person who has seen almost eight decades let me first inform you that you are in the hospitality business, not the buck a bottle of water business. Further you need to understand that your reputation is worth far more than the 60 cents you would have made on the bottle of water. My sincere recommendation, keep the chef but find someone with people skills for the front of the house before that fellow ruins your business. read more

Tami Lyn's is such a great place to eat! Whenever I go to Old Orchard Beach I make sure to go to the bottom of Union just so I can get Tami Lyn's for lunch. The food is always incredible, and so is the service. It's also very nice to even just stop there to pick up a couple snacks or a drink on my way to the beach. There are a couple tables, but not a ton so its not the best idea to bring a ton of people to eat inside. You could always get to go though! The store part does not have a giant selection, but it is a corner store so you can't expect much. read more

For hungrier eaters try the omelettes which our table mates struggled to finish. It was a special day, so I thought I'd try a new place by my house that I've wanted to try since I moved here. Google business said the place was open until 9pm, and it was 7:53 when I arrived, so I thought I had plenty of time to order something to go. After waiting in line behind 3 individuals and a family, I proceeded to order a lobster roll, and the gentleman that took my order was very gruff and unwelcoming, and said that they close the grill at eight. I looked at my cell phone and saw the time was 7:58, so I asked him if that meant I still have two more minutes to order, and he let out a huge sigh and said fine, very rudely. I'm not sure why I got the attitude--I was the last one in line and he wasn't rude to people before me. I waited and watched the employees make my food. I noticed that the workers at the grill had gloves on, but kept rubbing their faces, touching surfaces and then touching food. They kept cross contaminating the spatula they were using on my lobster with two hamburgers and some bacon they were making for someone else. The unwelcoming gentleman saw them do it the first time and called them out on it and told them to stop, but when he walked away they went back to doing it. I don't have any food allergies, but not good if someone did! There was no way I was going to confront this rude gentleman about this in front of an audience, so I tried to justify that any bacteria would be cooked off on the grill. 20 minutes later my lobster roll was ready and I took it home to eat it. I live 3 minutes away, and was disappointed to see that the roll was already super soggy and had already broken in several places. And, unfortunately, the lobster was not properly shucked, and on my first bite I bit into a shell. The white flipper-like part of the shell hidden between the little and big claw meat was not removed from any of the claw meat in the roll. I took them all out and removed them. Thinking I got them all out, I bit down again. Another piece of shell. At that point, I gave up. The rudeness, wrong info posted to customers, the poor hygiene, the cross contamination, the bad roll, the abundance of shell, and overall inedible food earns this establishment one star. I won't be returning. Stick with Sea Salt Lobster for a more decent, much meatier, cheaper option. read more

We stopped here two days in a row. Day 1 was breakfast sandwiches because we were in a hurry. The croissants were delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. Day #2 we came back for the fried clams and lobster rolls. My fiance is a New Englander and he was skeptical of a hot lobster roll with mayo.... not only did he eat his words he ate every bit of that delicious roll. Great food served up with a hint of that New England sense of humor. We will most definitely be back!! No pics because we dug in before we could take any!! Tami Lyn's place was great. It's a small corner store a block from the beach. It's a lot less expensive than the restaurants by the boardwalk and main streets by the beach. The food is fresh and made to order. The fries were delicious and crispy. The clam chowder was creamy and the clams were cooked well. The fried clams were so good. The batter was slightly sweet and they weren't greasy. The owner was super nice and funny. He cracked jokes with us when we were purchasing stuff from the convenience store. Next time I'm in OOB I'm 100% visiting Tami Lyn's again. I recommend this to anyone who wants delicious, fresh food! read more

I mean I think as far as food in old orchard Beach is concerned it's really hard to find really good places. I do think this place is pretty good but it is kind of pricey we got chicken fingers and a steak and cheese sub and a small pizza and that was 40. However the chicken fingers are pretty good but I wish I had asked for sauce. The small pizza was completely made from scratch and it was really good and my son enjoyed it. My mom liked the steak and cheese sub. I'll probably be back but I will know that's a little pricey now read more

Really enjoyed our experience ordering from Tami Lyn's. The Buffalo chicken pizza was amazing. I've been craving it ever since we finished it on Saturday. Cheese pizza was made perfectly and the French fries were cooked perfectly. Our previous order from here was last year and we ordered two fried haddock sandwiches and they were amazing. I know everyone has their own COVID-19 standards, but the state says you should wear masks and gloves when in the food business... They do neither!
