I have been practicing medicine for 10 years and would never think to do this to a patient. What is worse, this office is always calling to reschedule, cancel or switch my appointments to another provider. I have never once given them an issue with this and always been agreeable. But the courtesy is not reciprocated. 2. Do not believe their Google reviews!! They have disabled it so no one can write anything else or change their 4.8 star rating which is fraudulent if no one is allowed to review them!! 3. I'm definitely switching practices. I love Dr. Josh Croland but this office needs a kinder management plan.

When Dr. Larson came in. She sat and spoke with me and asked me a few questions she said she would write some lab work to discuss at a later appointment. this was a consultation only visit. No exam was performed. Dr. Larson seem to be uninterested and yawned at least three times during our conversation I went ahead and did the lab work. They failed to send the lab work. The lab before my lab draw which took the lab 30 minutes to make contact with the office in order to get the lab orders. I received a bill for the consultation which was $762 which my insurance only paid 228 of, after making contact with the office, they failed to hear my concern regarding such an exorbitant charge for a consultation. I canceled further appointment and will not be using this office. Disgusted.

I have no idea how the Couri Center is not being sued for malpractice. Stay far away from this…read moreplace, in my opinion. They were so kind and professional until I had an issue which THEY caused, and then they treated me like garbage. I have never felt like my life is so disposable/ my money is the only redeeming quality at a Doctor's practice until the Couri Center. Deb Collins prescribed me the Depo shot, which in no universe should have ever been prescribed to me or anyone with PMDD and depression. She failed to tell me that progesterone only BC depletes serotonin levels and can cause suicidal ideations, intense depression, spiraling mood swings, panic disorder, bouts of anger and more. I had to pay money for another doctors appointment to get put on antidepressants, which I have never been put on in my life (I'm 22 years old). This is another thing I have to pay for now. Thanks. Messing with a woman's hormones can make them go crazy. Please pay attention to everyone's charts and diagnoses before prescribing huge amounts of hormones. I called to ask to see an actual OBGYN, stating that I had a bad reaction to the Depo shot, and was treated like trash by whoever the receptionist was (3:44pm on March 3rd). She asked what I needed and I repeated myself. She said "we are not accepting new patients". You have the audacity to turn me away? When you should be doing everything in your power to fix YOUR mistake which has turned my life upside down. I should be compensated somehow or given resources for therapy, and instead I was told that I HAVE TO PAY for my records because I have to take my business elsewhere now. I just got married, moved here, and I was happy coming into the Couri Center. Now I have been left crying every single day without fail for over a month, suicidal, and depressed. This has affected every. aspect. of. my. life. I cannot put into words the pain this has caused me. And my loved ones. Do not market yourself as by women for women, because you clearly only care about yourselves. (This is not directed at the entire staff, because many of the ladies were wonderful. The phlebotomists are the best ever). The way you treated me is disgusting. You NEED to do better. If this happened to the wrong person, and they ended their life because of this, I can't imagine the consequences. Edit: The hits just keep on coming. During my first visit in January of 2025 (it is now almost June) I was told by Deb Collins that the Myriad Genetic Testing would be covered by insurance. I was encouraged to participate because I have cancer on both sides of my family and "I qualified for testing". Of course I said yes because I was scared and wanted to know just how at risk I was. And if it was free, why wouldn't I do it? It is now almost June and I have gotten a bill from Myriad for $1k. No emails, no texts, just a bill in the mail for an atrocious amount of money. I don't even have access for my test results because Myriad's portal is garbage. So I frantically called the Couri Center, even though I am no longer a patient, and was told that I need to dispute that with Myriad. Upon further research, I discovered that MYRIAD IS UNDER INVESTIGATION AND HAS COUNTLESS LAWSUITS FOR SELLING OUR GENETIC INFORMATION TO OUTSIDE SOURCES AND FOR OVERCHARGING ON FAKE BILLS. Just when I think I'm done with you, this sh*t just keeps spewing. You're like an abusive ex that keeps popping up in my life somehow.

So I am writing this review because I am super frustrated as a whole with how I have been treated…read morethroughout this entire process of trying to find a doctor in Peoria. Yesterday my husband and I had booked a fertility consultation with Dr. Overcash. We arrived, and it was kinda hard to find the building but after driving around, I did see it as I had scoured the website and they have a great photo of the location. When I was booking the appt. I explained to the girl on the phone that I am looking for a doctor in the area as we are preparing to have a baby, and my current OB in Chicago recommended I find someone closer. She took all of my information (including the wrong phone number) but never mentioned that it was a patient only experience. When we arrived in the lobby, 2 staff members were behind the counter WITHOUT masks, and a third masked woman who I can only assume was the pitboss or APRN. No one introduced themselves to me, other than to say my husband couldn't be there. I promptly explained we're here for a consultation, and the masked woman said "well, we'll have to clear it with the doctor because we can't be picking and choosing who get preferential treatment." I asked her to do that. I was sent into the hallway by the elevator with my husband to wait and hear back on what the dr. said. It turns out that he wouldn't meet Tyler, and I promptly cancelled my appt. I realize every practice is different, however I'm going to leave this here; if I can go to Walmart, if I can go to work, if I can walk into A DOCTORS OFFICE and see people behind the counter that work there not wearing masks, then my husband can be involved in my prenatal care appointments. There is a serious lack of patient advocacy in America from both patient and family. Some of the questions my husband had were "how many c sections do you perform? What do you consider "dangerous" and how often do you use Pitocin? What is the likelyhood of her having a low intervention birth (due to my issues)?" there were more but you can tell from these that my 25 year old husband cares** and did research into what happens to women and more specifically what might happen to me. Don't you think that merits some concern and I'd also like to state that while sure, he could have teleconferenced in for that, was he expected to miss our ultrasound appointments? Because excuse me but teleconferencing isn't acceptable. And for those of you saying "well what about this that and the other", I don't care. None of that is the case, and this experience has been unacceptable all the way around. My husband is my partner. We are taking on parenting seriously, and if you don't think that starts at conception, and right down to choosing a doctor perhaps you have it wrong.

Dr. Kindred was my doctor for over 15 years. I was under his care with full-blown cervical/uterine…read morecancer. My tumor was so big, ER doctors first thought it was a dead baby. When the surgeon went to remove it, he said it was pushing my bladder almost completely closed, had spread to my lymph nodes, was in my bowels, and somehow into my ureters. My kidneys were beginning to shut down. The oncologist also said he was surprised I could urinate anymore. When they first gave me the news of the "mass" and told me how large it was, I knew that was IMPOSSIBLE because Kindred had just tied my tubes only 3 months before! I really trusted Dr. Kindred. I had been having cancer symptoms for nearly two years and going in for bleeding between my cycles. I felt like I was getting extra menstrual cycles. He gave me my regular gynecological care, which was normal and would take labs and say my hormones needed to be adjusted. Now, I feel like a fool for this, but I trusted him. In the hospital, I had to have an emergency radical hysterectomy. I needed so much cancer treatment that my quality of life is now very poor. I have severe lymphedema in my right leg that will NEVER go away, I now am at risk for lung cancer, my bone marrow is shutting down from all the chemo and radiation, I can't eat a normal diet anymore and have chronic pain in my bladder, leg, digestive tract, vagina, and rectum. Towards my diagnosis date, I definitely realized something was wrong because I started having pain but I NEVER dreamt that I was walking around with advanced cancer. I even had a "normal" pap smear and asked how that was possible. My gyne oncologist told me that is was a poor quality pap smear because he said that there was no way I didn't have cancer when Dr. Kindred took the last smear. The best part is that when I went to get a copy of my chart, he removed most of my visits. Guess he was more concerned about being sued than my health. Doctors are human beings and as a patient, I feel like they are going to make mistakes. I accept that fact and know it's all part of the risk. Dr. Kindred showed absolutely zero remorse for what happened to me as a result of his negligence and took no responsibility. Removing parts of my health record to cover his own ass was inhuman. Doctors have no idea how far taking a little responsibility for a screw up can go for the patient they made the mistake on. I feel like taking the risk and being vulnerable enough to admit you screwed up would probably lower their risk of malpractice. I have recently passed my 5 year treatment anniversary and 38% of the women with my diagnosis make it this far. I'm grateful to be in that 38% but mourn that 62% that didn't make it and even experience survivor's guilt. I'm quite proud of my strength and endurance. Having cancer has certainly shown me that I am quite the fighter, a silver lining, I suppose, and there are many of those for sure. Until Dr. Kindred takes some responsibility for the hurt he has inflicted upon some of his patients, myself included, I wouldn't trust him to euthanize someone's dying pet.

I've got issues and have had about a dozen visits there this year and he will soon perform surgery on me and I feel very comfortable with that. I've not felt like his staff is rude at all, but not overly friendly either. I think they can work on that and smile or chat more. I also think for being such a big, aesthetically nice environment, it would be nice to have water and/or coffee available. I would give five stars, but this doctor is popular and busy and it is true - if you just have an annual exam, it's harder to get in than if you are pregnant or are having other procedures done, and even though I have issues, it's still usually 4 weeks before I can get in for follow ups. Sonograms have been quick and easy and I don't wait in the waiting room for very long, but I have waited almost an hour in the exam room in the past. The exam rooms are a little chilly and could have some reading material in there. Although I wait, when I see Dr. K, I feel like he is not rushing me and will answer all of my questions thoroughly and that is most important. I'd rather him take the time with patients and that way he will take his time with me. There was only one time that Dr. K was not available, so his NP did my exam, no biggie. I also like that Dr. K is an expert in fertility issues and likes to use less invasive homeopathic treatments. He is friendly to my hubby who typically accompanies me to appointments and he likes to joke too.
