Absolutely not the best ski slopes in the world. But for convenience and price, definitely awesome! Cool as Finnish 5 year olds absolutely smashing it, all other ages trying their best. I'm reliably informed kids in Finland start snow boarding as early as 3 years old!
The convenience really makes the difference here, a short train ride from Helsinki station, and a free bus up the hill from Kerova station at the other end. Then at the end of the day a free bus back. Too bloody easy.
There are a nice variety of slopes, with jumps and grinds for all the cool kids and a couple of more gentle slopes for uncoordinated noobs like myself.
The lodge and hire area has free WiFi, and the beers are only a euro or so more than you'd pay at an average bar. Didn't sample any hot food due to lack of time, but seems like your regular Finnish takeaway menu. read more
