The butcher Artur Serra and his assistant Jorge were at all times helpful in knowing what meat we wanted for dinner, and would cut it or prepare it in any way we asked. The place was cleaned every night until it was spotless. We had the best squab we have ever had from the place, and Artur regularly had rabbit and lamb as well. But pork is the favored meat here, and his offerings were great. We also bought our eggs here, and George found the wine that was available here (Lisbon butchers all sell wine, too) to be a perfectly acceptable vin ordinaire. Artur doesn't speak much English, but we were able to get our needs addressed!
