I hired Mr. Veech(owner) to clean and stain my large pressure treated deck. We agreed that he would…read morechoose the appropriate stain and clear it through me prior to its application. He was also to replace deck boards as he saw fit. The price started at $1200. However the amount of stain needed greatly increased, therefore increasing the total prito $1600. Within a few of weeks of its application, the stain( which appears as a paint) is already peeling/chipping off and since it is a very light gray, it shows stains. When I try to clean the stains, the solid stain comes off, therefore needing more touchup...a never ending disaster. I immediately complained to Larry and asked him to please help me resolve this fiasco. He refused and will not cooperate with me. He claims he properly prepped the surface and that he stands behind the stain he chose. I'm holding Larry responsible for the prep/reapplication of the stain only.....I expect to get what I paid for. A deck stained with a "stain" that will last a reasonable amount of time.
