In one word, this place is an EXPERIENCE! From the moment you sit down, you are immediately greeted with a complementary shot of Ouzo. The menu is rather large and they do have an English option. We started with the dolmades that were served warm with a scrumptious lemon dill cream sauce. I ordered the baked chicken platter which had a mushroom cream sauce, side salad, and I opted for the rice instead of the fries. Very glad I got the rice because it was full of tomato flavor and spices. My husband ordered the lamb shank with eggplant. The eggplant was cooked a little too much, but the flavor made up for it. The lamb was juicy and tender. Once we finished and asked for our bill, we were brought the bill with complementary individual vanilla custards with strawberry sauce AND MORE OUZO! I was pregnant during our trip so I passed on the Ouzo both times, and I told our waiter it was because I was expecting a baby. He immediately brought us a fancy juice cocktail that was absolutely delicious! Amazing service and food from start to finish. A must try if you are in Freising.

It's clearly a family run place. Father, and mother both don't speak German (the language I used) well at all. I guess that is why, other then their daughter who speaks excellent German, there was also a German waitress there. Although we were the only customers, we were alternatively served by all four (the family and the German girl) which was strange. The parents couldn't answer questions, the German girl was probably very new and not helpful either. I also think that if they are all sitting at one of their own tables chatting, then do it where you can see your customers so that if they need you they just have to wink. I had to walk to the staff when I needed something during my meal. Pretty silly when there are 'waiters' and we are the only guests. The only thing that was above average in this place was the food. Although the won-ton soup had won-tons so big they could impossibly fit in my mouth. So I used my knife and fork to cut them first. The music was too loud. Some kind of pop-jazz. Maybe it needs to be that loud when the place is full, but not when we are the only ones. The bathrooms are dated. The sink has cold water only. In the corner of the men's bathroom were the cleaning tools, bucket, mob etc.
