Zach was amazing . He walked my dog daily for 7 weeks while I was traveling. He was always prompt, on time, cheerful and best of all , he bonded so well with my dog. My dog would wait eagerly for his walks with Zach and would come back happy and energized. Zach has very good dog handling skills and my dog just loved him. Zach always sent a message before and after the walks. This was very helpful. My friends and I highly recommend Zach's services. We plan to have him walk my dog again in the future. read more

Zach has been walking my dog for six years now. He is the most wonderful guy in the whole world! He's conscientious, reliable and responsible. He really cares. Buster, my bulldog and Moondance my cat love him. He stays at my house while I'm out of town. I tease him saying I don't think he really stays here as my house is perfect when I come home! He is honestly a great person and he's dedicated to what he does!!! Don't pass him by. Zach is the man for the job!!! read more

Zach is great! So glad we found him! We no longer have to worry about Allie being alone too long. Thanks Zach

When we're talking about Tails 2 Trails, we're talking about one person behind the madness. Zach is a great source of local pet care-taking while you're at work (if you're a dog person) or while we are out of town for an extended period of time (for other animals who can't simply be brought along with us in our travels). Heck, he is a great option even for just one night away. First, there is an initial meeting to set everything up. He meets your furry loved one(s), you sign some forms, set up payment (for when service begins, which is not at that visit), has a magnet bar code for your refrigerator to facilitate the process, and that's basically the set-up. Aside from that, you address any concerns and quirks that are specific, which is the great thing because he takes ALL of it into consideration. For each service, you are sent an invoice for everything up to the Sunday of that week. And that requires no further action, as it automatically charges your account. If the service spills over into Monday, a separate invoice is sent for logistics purposes. We automatically contact Zach when we need to be out of town. This way, we avoid the hassle of asking favors from our local friends. He is trustworthy, and he simply knows how to care for your pets, as he has the ability to bond with just about any of them! He's like a non-celebrity pet whisperer, if I'm allowed to say. The rates are on the website. I think it's absolutely affordable and genuinely worth it for the service you get. As far as cats are concerned, the basic visits only last 15 minutes, which costs $15 usually. He made sure the kitties were fed, litter boxes were cleared, pictures were taken for the email alert update for each visit, and even some play time. The best times he usually devotes for cats is generally in the morning and the evening, as the middle of the day is mainly for the doggos! Give him a try, especially if you're in the Normal Heights/North Park area! read more

Zach is the best! I frequently have last minute trips and he has always been super accommodating. I love the pictures and notes he sends me of Leo and it makes me feel so good knowing that I have someone like Zach to take care of my baby boy. I had to leave a few weeks after my baby had to get hip surgery and I couldn't have been happier leaving him in Zach's care. I've had a crazy last couple of months and left without much directions and Zach is super on top of everything even when I haven't been. If you need a pet sitter in the area then search no further! read more

Tails 2 Trails - Dog Walkers Near Me - Chula Vista, California

See all

Zach did an excellent job by taking care of our male cat for almost one week. He is very corteous and kind. He watered our plants and picked up the mail as well. Without his help we would have not been able to leave the cat and take some vacations. He uses a code scan system so you know exactly when he visits your house or where he takes your dogs to have a walk. My cat is very shy but he loved Zach since the beginning! We'll definitely hire Tails 2 Trails services everytime we go out of town! read more

The Tails 2 Trails team has been one of the BEST pet walking services I have ever used. Dependable, Reliable, Flexible, Responsive, and Experienced are the qualities that come to mind when I think of Zach and his team. To our regret, we will be moving out of the neighborhood w/in the next month. Tails 2 Trails has set the bar high for the next pet service I will choose. THANK YOU for being one of Harlowe's Best Friends. read more

I can't say enough how much our family loves Zach and the incredible service offered by Tails 2 Trails! Besides his comfort level with big dogs and his clear love for all types of animals, he meets my criteria which includes: scheduling-so easy! online portal has all the information and you have minimal need to interact if you don't want to (though Zach is extremely personable! I am busy and prefer to manage these things online). He also will schedule via text! payment-his online portal automatically bills/accepts payment based on the number of hours/walks you scheduled on the previous week. Always on Sunday. No surprises! No writing checks or having cash on hand. transparency-you get an email when he arrives and one when he leaves so you know exactly how long your pet has been walked. And there's no faking it, because he provides a barcode on a magnet and has to scan in and out. As an added bonus the "Walk Completed" email includes notes about the walk and a photo of your pet! flexibility-I try to be mindful of our schedule but sometimes things come up and I text Zach and ask for a time-or-day-change and he always accommodates if he can. No penalties. Also, he's saved us many times when I've sent a text asking for a last minute walk b/c I am held up at work. Most importantly, our dog LOVES Zach. We call him her boyfriend b/c she gets giddy when he shows up. Have you ever seen a German Shepherd seem like a teenage girl? :-) read more

Zach is THE BEST! My husband and I both have very last minute and crazy schedules, but Zach is always available to help us out with our dog Vern anytime we need him! Vern loves him (and that's not always the case with people). We always get amazing pictures and funny comments that make us feel really thankful that he is there to help us out. I would recommend Zach to anyone out there who needs help with their pet and is looking for someone extremely dependable, timely, and great at his job. read more

My fiancé and I have had a wonderful experience using Zach's service so far. It's clear to me that he loves his job. We were were out of town for a long weekend recently and ended up having to unexpectedly extend our trip by a week. I called Zach that day and he was more than happy to stop by for the week and check on our cat even on such short notice. He even went above and beyond to coordinate with our landlord to get a key, since we hadn't expected to be gone and hadn't left one. I would absolutely refer anyone who needed a pet sitter to call him. Also, he uses a service that allows him to send updates and pictures after every visit, which is awesome :) read more

We love Zach! Hired him very short notice to walk our dog, Cheeseburger. He was able to squeeze in time to meet us and Cheeseburger beforehand. This made us super comfortable and we knew our dog would be in good hands. He is professional, kind and you can tell he loves his job. We loved the pictures he would send to us when he walked Cheeseburger. Overall a great experience. We definitely recommend him and will be using his services again! read more

My dogs look forward to their walks with Zach & his crew. They're on-time & make great use of their time w my dogs. They email you a link so you can see where they've been. Payment is effortless through his app. I couldn't ask for more from a dog walker. Call Zach, your dog will be thankful! read more

I highly recommend using Tails 2 Trails. Zach and Elana have been super flexible as my work schedule would change at the last minute. They did a wonderful job of communicating with me about how my dog was doing and how he behaved. The smart phone app was informative and the pictures of a happy walking dog are always nice. Great service run by great people. read more

I went on a two week jaunt to Europe and left my little fur ball in Zach's capable hands. His love of animals is readily apparent and my cat took to him immediately, which is not unheard of, but rare. He provided me with daily updates and pics and the Pet Check app is a great tool to monitor visitation times. I have had a less than desirable experience with another local pet sitter in the past, so Zach's professionalism and expert level of care put me at ease while away. I highly recommend Tails 2 Trails and will surely be using their services exclusively going forward. read more

We hired Zach to take care of our fur babies since we were heading out of town for the weekend. Zach did an amazing job and we'd definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an overnight companion or a pet sitter. Our girls loved having Zach around as well. Thanks again, Zach! You are awesome. read more

I have been using Zach's services for almost a year now- for both overnight stays and walks for my two dogs. He is absolutely amazing! I was very apprehensive to leave my dogs with someone because they are basically my children, but Zach goes above and beyond and now I don't think twice when dropping them off for a few nights. My favorite is when he texts me pictures of my dogs to show how they're doing, and of course they always seem very happy and very spoiled! I highly recommend Zach for any of your animal care needs; he's great! read more

Zach has watched my cat several times while I've been away. I love getting the pics and my cat seems happy when I get back. He's also extremely quick to respond. read more

Zach and the Tails 2 Trails team are part of our family even though my husband and I don't see them. We have been using them regularly, for mid day play sessions and overnight care, for a few months and their service remains outstanding. This is important because many pet services start out great but do not sustain that level of service and commitment. Our dog, Zoey, has TONS of energy but due to her rough past (she is a rescue) walks are not an option for her. We have Tails 2 Trails come over during the week when we are working to play with Zoey and they do a great job. They give her the hands on play she requires so we come home to a happy and tuckered out pup. Zach and his team are professional and very responsive. Zoey has been a handful for quite a few dog sitters but not Tails to Trails. I feel they treat her like they would their own pet, so when we are at work or away on a trip I know Zoey is in good hands. We are so glad we found Tails to Trails and we know Zoey feels the same way! read more

Zach and the other tails 2 trails staff are awesome! You can tell right away that Zach is an animal lover! He is so nice and very flexible to your needs. I have been using tails 2 trails for about two months now. I have a chihuahua mix and we buy a 15 minute potty break when needed either during the week or on weekends. I love the updates they send you via email with a cute picture of your pet and status of the visit. It is always great to know that the walk went well! Thank you!! read more

Tails to Trails rules!! Zach is professional, easy to communicate with, and most of all, great with dogs. Scheduling was very easy and I received daily walk reports including adorable pictures of my fur baby. My dog can be tentative with strangers but took to Zach right away. I wholeheartedly recommend Tails to Trails to anyone looking for reliable, affordable, and caring dog walking in San Diego. read more

I've been using Tails 2 Trails since I moved to the San Diego area in March 2016. Zach has visited my cat, Moose, more than 40 times for mid-day check-ins and his service has been reliable and very caring. I get a detailed update and photo of Moose after every visit and always come home to a happy kitty. If you are looking for flexible, reliable, caring service for your pets, I highly recommend you use Tails 2 Trails! read more

Zach is incredible. I have a 14 week old puppy, and needed his help last minute. I emailed him and he reached out to me within 30 minutes. He arranged a time to meet, was on time, extremely attentive, and overall super nice. When we met, I was nervous about leaving my dog with a stranger, but within the first 2 minutes of interaction, I felt totally comfortable. He spent about 15 minutes meeting Moose and went as far as asking me if my pup needed any special accommodations. Zach kept in touch with me while he took, Moose on his first walk, and even cleaned up an accident that Moose had in the house. This is way above and beyond in my opinion. I will be using his service's as often as possible. read more

Zach has looked after my family's cat over two Christmas holidays, and always provided impeccable service. In addition to making sure she was well cared for and had quality human contact, he was great about providing updates and letting us know how she was doing. Scheduling and payment was super easy through the online portal. It felt great to be able to leave our pet in such capable hands. read more

What an amazing service! I contacted Zachary super last minute (day before I left) and he responded immediately and was able to accommodate a same day meet and greet. The automatic check-in feature works perfectly, and you are notified and sent pictures of each pet as soon as their visit is complete. Tails 2 Trails is definitely my new go-to pet sitting service, thanks again for taking care of my little ones! read more

This was my 1st time using Zach and my 2 ragdolls were well cared for and happy while I was on vacation! It was great getting the pics and getting updates when I was away. This was by far the BEST service my pets have received and I look forward to using Zach again! Thanks again! read more

I can't say enough good things about Zach! He takes such good care of our pups! My favorite part is the online portal he offers which has gps, a daily reportcard of the pups and even pictures! If you need a dogwalker, I highly recommend him! read more

Zach has been such an awesome dog walker for my two little girls. From the start he made me comfortable in knowing that my dogs were in good hands. I get an email every walk when he gets there, when he leaves and any comments about the walk. There's also cute photos that come in the email. Zach is extremely flexible and came many times for last minute walks when I got stuck at work. Zach is also available for overnight dog sitting at your home. Zach is reliable, friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for everything! read more

I'm so excited about the Service from Zach! He is so amazing with my animals! My dog Malachi can really be a handful to say the least. And my cats well, they can hide and not really be so friendly to those they don't know. But, with Zach WOW is all I can tell you! Each one absolutely loves him. Malachi gets so excited he barks his happy bark which is even LOUDER than his very Protective bark. He's not a dog to mess with and with Zach, well he's like a big baby! He goes on the walks and loves to be fed by him! He loves to bring Zach his favorite ball or newest toy! I'm was so impressed with the way Zach first handled him I knew he was going to be my Forever and Fav Dog Walker and Sitter! Then there are the cats! They come right up to him. They meow for him to feed them! It's like they know, ah Zach's here feeding time!!! Even when I'm home! Absolutely adorable, for me to see in cats that usually flee when strangers come over. Even people who come by regularly. He has great animal instincts and I'd love to rate him 1 star and keep him all to me, but that wouldn't be fair to the rest of San Diego! He's beyond the 5 STAR RATING here! If I could I'd give him at least 10! He is truly the very best in his field! If you're looking for a Dog Walker or Pet Sitter, or even if you just need someone to come and play with them while you're at work, LQQK no further! This is the only place you need to call! Tell him I sent you, no I don't get a discount! I'm just so happy with him I could brag for hours! read more

Zach is wonderful and so is Tails 2 Trails! Zach has been very flexible with my work schedule and has worked with me if I have last minute changes and needed some help. The online scheduling portal is wonderful and easy to navigate. Plus it makes payment and communication easy. Zach is very easy to get in touch with and always quick to respond, as well as great at communicating if there are any concerns about my dog. Moreover, my dog loves him. I used another dog walking service before Tails 2 Trails who used multiple dog walkers, which made my timid rescue pup a little nervous. Instead of working with my dog and being patient, they said my dog was "aggressive" for barking and "not a case they usually deal with." Zach was patient with my dog and they quickly bonded. You can tell he has a lot of experience with dogs and can deal with all types, from the shy to the more boisterous animals. We love Zach and are so happy to have him! read more
