Instead of handling a negative review professionally, for example reaching out directly or crafting an appropriate response, she blocked the bride who hired her on social media. Classy. To start, Taylor DID NOT ATTEND THE WEDDING. Unfortunately, my first impression of Taylor happened when she arrived more than 30 minutes late to the first vendor meeting we had rescheduled (upon her request) for my best friend's wedding. As her maid of honor, and best friend for over 25 years, I really wanted the best for my friend and Taylor did not deliver that. In person, she really seemed to know her craft, but when both the FLORAL and the CAKE vendors had to reach out to the BRIDE only ten days prior to the wedding, it was clear there were all words and no action. Between waiting a week or more to respond to vendors, to being extremely full of excuses as to why deadlines weren't being met, the day of was truly negatively impacted by her lack of care and effort. For one, my best friend rented a rug she wanted to see underneath the ceremonial archway she had MADE BY HAND. The bride spent hours tirelessly handcrafting her own wedding, and the least Taylor could have done was to SHOW UP and make sure the details were in place. The rug was completely missing from the ceremony set up, resulting in my best friend the bride to trip over the microphone cord which could have easily been covered by the rug. The groom's father spent a lot of money making wedding gifts for guests, which never made it. There were custom cups, shot glasses and beer coozies he personally had to transport and try and hand out to people, but there were more than 200 leftover we had to all scramble to try and get rid of - this could have easily been communicated between the coordinator and the vendor for an effortless distribution of these kind and expensive gifts. The bride hand made her own neon sign, which took about three months of construction. When the bride and groom arrived to the venue, the sign wasn't even turned on. The groom had to run to the van after the ceremony to go and get the cord needed to plug it in. Again, picking up the slack and lack of effort left by the careless coordinator. Lastly, I found it hugely inappropriate that Taylor started to follow the groom from her personal Instagram account (I am sure they have a lot of people in similar circles because Las Vegas is a small place) but it made the bride uncomfortable, especially since Tailor did not also follow the bride on social media, making it awkward for everyone. As someone who works in the event industry and has more than 20 years of customer experience, I truly believe Taylor has a lot to learn about customer service, communication, meeting deadlines and BOTTOM LINE being a PROFESSIONAL. My best friend is a mechanical engineer and an extremely intelligent, wonderful person who deserved much, much more than Taylor delivered. The stress put upon the bride, which was supposed to be alleviated, was only exacerbated by her absence and lack of communication. There is no reason a bride should be contacting vendors by herself, laying out all her own floor plans and delegating to friends and family what needs to be done because the coordinator severely dropped the ball. Las Vegas does have a lot of amazing, quality and professional event and wedding coordinators but Taylor Vesp is not one of them. Bottom line, Tailored Events dropped the ball on my daughter Emily's wedding planning. As the MOB I am disappointed and frustrated. The wedding was this past Saturday and Taylor came by my house on Monday Am (late) to drop off and pick things up that were to supposed be used for the ceremony but was never set up. I asked her how she felt she did and what was the reason behind the lack of timeliness of her returning calls, txts, and emails which was an ongoing issue for the past 2 months. She blamed it on miscommunication, being in a place with no cell service, and the size of package my daughter purchased. She also threw her assistants under the bus by blaming them for things as well. Taylor never owned the fact that things were not done well, in a timely matter, done right, or with a sense of urgency. If Taylor felt she could not deliver the package, she should've let Emily know that maybe this was not a good fit for either party and refunded her money. If it wasn't for the fact that Emily could forsee the writing on the wall and had not stayed on top on Taylor in the last few weeks, things could have been disasterous. Mind you, she was not a bridezilla and on the contrary quite passive. Also it was not a complicated wedding.....ceremony in a park and a reception at a venue. Pretty cut and dry. Also for common courtesy, and as the business owner; Taylor should've reached out to my daughter the bride (who paid for her services) to inform her personally that she would not be at the wedding and at least wished her well; no matter what her emergency was. That was very disrespectful and unproffesional. It's pathetic that there's been no reviews on here since 2017 and now within the 24 hours there's 3 new glowing reviews from prior clients. My fiance and I had our wedding on 11/9/19 at Paiute Golf Resort and it was the most perfect day because of Taylor. I found her scrolling on instagram and I am so glad I did. When we first called her, she wanted to know our vision for the wedding, as well as get to know us as a couple. She explained her role for the "Month Of" package, and on 11/9/19 she did just that. 2-6 weeks before our wedding: -She made a very detailed wedding itinerary, table layout, list of vendors, and guest list -She contacted all vendors to make sure everything/everyone was ready to go -She met with us multiple times to discuss wedding details, changing her schedule to fit ours -She checked in with us to make sure we didn't need any assistance The week of our wedding: -She picked up all decor and personal items from our house -She attended the rehearsal (arrived an hour early) and was very clear about the ceremony expectations for guests and family -She paid close attention to detail on family dynamics and brought up things I would have never thought about -She continued to check in with us to make sure we didn't need anything The day of our wedding: Everything was absolutely PERFECT. As soon as I walked on site, everything in the bridal suite was organized and ready to go (she was there an hour early, maybe more). Every favor I had asked her to prepare for the wedding day she did without question, including my STARBUCKS coffee. She continually checked in on me, my husband, my family, the wedding party, and the vendors. She stuck to the wedding schedule exactly and always calmed my anxious mind. After the wedding: -She delivered all decor and personal items to our house within 24 hours I am sure I am missing so many other details, but rest assured Taylor was organized, thoughtful, and professional. It doesn't get much better than this if you're looking for someone to plan your perfect day. I recently attended a wedding 2 hours south of Cancun, in Tulum, that was planned by Taylor and her team. From 5-6 months BEFORE the wedding all the way until we arrived safely back in home...Taylor was absolutely ON TOP OF EVERYTHING. Each and every single person had their airport shuttles and hotels coordinated through Taylor and team over a 4 day span, and there wasn't a single hiccup the entire time. Over the 4 days there were countless pre-wedding dinners/parties and every event was flawlessly executed. At every point throughout the entire trip, Taylor went out of her way to make sure each guest was accommodated appropriately and comfortable as could be. The only complaint some people had was the fact that Taylor didn't plan their big day! I met Taylor through instagram (tailoredeventslv) and immediately fell in love with her work. Every little last detail was captured in this elegant + simple way through her wedding coordination, and I knew I had to lock her in as our own coordinator. As any bride knows there are *so* many decisions along the way in the wedding process -- and so you *must* have a strong wedding planner by your side. Taylor played that role for me and everything turned out perfectly. My mother even said: "I felt like I was a guest at your wedding. Everything went seamlessly - no hiccups - on time - I couldn't believe it". The biggest problem we had was a 6'7ft groomsmen's suit was lost by the hotel and I called Taylor immediately. The next day someone who worked at the hotel had gone to Reno to pick him up a replacement. Taylor is super sweet, detailed oriented and remains calm when you need it the most (which is nearly the entire process!). She even sent me in the midst of all the chaos, a sweet gift that turned out beautiful in photos -- personalized vow books! She did have other weddings and personal events she planned throughout my entire wedding process, but that never hindered the outcome of it. This review is for anyone that is looking for a wedding coordinator and doesn't know Taylor personally, as was my experience. I figure she must do a good job for other people, as she seems to get a lot of work, but wanted to warn anyone that may be looking to hire her for your wedding or event because I strongly recommend you look elsewhere. I hired Taylor for a partial planning package about 6 months out from my wedding in October and initially she seemed very organized and helpful and in person she was a pleasure to talk to. However, after I signed the contract and started working with her it became increasingly difficult to get her to answer texts in a timely manner. She was late to two meetings with my reception vendor (the vendor made a comment about will she be late to your wedding too? More on that later). She had to reschedule one meeting due to "family stuff" but actually it was just her boyfriend's birthday party, which I found out through social media. She did do a good job finding vendor recommendations but many of them were pricey for my budget and I ended up having to find cheaper options myself. I let her know about 3-4 months out that I didn't feel like I was getting the attention I was looking for and didn't feel like she was "in it." She apologized and said it wouldn't happen again but not much changed. I kept telling myself that she's busy with other events and eventually it would be my turn (wrong). I began to take more control over my wedding details to make sure I was covered if anything fell through. I realized early on that it's MUCH easier for me to send a quick email or call than wait for her to do it for me and get back to me. I knew that my wedding was during the "busy season" and that Taylor would have a lot more events during that time so I tried to keep communication to a minimum. It sometimes took days to get a response from her and every time she did respond she had some excuse as to why she was so busy or told me about what was happening with her other events. In my opinion, as a client, I shouldn't have to know anything about what's going on with anything other than my own wedding. Despite her contract saying she reaches out to vendors 2 weeks before the wedding, I had my florist and my cake vendor tell me they hadn't heard from her 10 days out. The florist had reached out the week prior before contacting me asking if the wedding was still on because she hadn't gotten a response from Taylor. Still I thought to myself, "as long as she pulls this off the day of the wedding, I will have gotten something out of it." BUT SHE DIDN'T COME TO THE WEDDING. I didn't find that out until I got to the reception. Her assistants handled the ceremony but forgot two items we wanted set up, and had our violinist playing during the recessional despite us wanting a playlist played during that time. It was a mess. Her assistants did the best they could but I had only ever met one of them and they clearly were not familiar with me or what I wanted. The reception also had things forgotten or misplaced and Taylor's assistant did her best but was unfamiliar with the reception vendor and there was a bit of friction there that Taylor would have known how to handle better. Apparently Taylor had another family emergency and couldn't make it and didn't tell me about it or even ask how the wedding went after it was finished. I actually didn't hear from her until two days after the wedding when she picked up the rug I rented (and didn't get to use) from my mom's house and my mom demanded she refund the rug. Overall I was extremely unhappy with this experience. The only reason the wedding went as well as it did was because of my preparedness. This was not one or two incidents, and I understand that family emergencies happen. It doesn't feel like a coincidence that she couldn't make it to my wedding after I had voiced my dissatisfaction to her so many time already. If you are the kind of person that wants to be involved in your event planning and doesn't want to just let her spend all your money for you, AVOID HER. She may do a great job for some people but I have a feeling if you're not somehow in her social circle she doesn't care very much about you. If you DO hire her I highly suggest adding into the contract that you can get a refund at any point if you're unsatisfied with her work. If you hired her and feel like you're stressed that she's not responding or doing her job, CUT YOUR LOSSES. It won't get any better. After being engaged for a few months and trying to plan a wedding on my own, I decided I definitely needed help and I'm so glad I chose Taylor and her team and Tailored Events! My husband and I hired her for help with month of coordination and it was the best decision we made. Taylor offered help with decor ideas and information on vendors that she recommended in Las Vegas. Taylor provided us with something you can't really put a price tag on and that was peace of mind! We hired Taylor as our "Month Of Coordinator," but she was so much more than that! She helped us about 6 months prior to the wedding also. She helped us with a bunch of things, from finalizing the grooms tie colors to finding a great website to order invitations. We were on a pretty strict budget and she really helped us stick by that by reminding us of the things that really matter at a wedding and what people will remember most. As with any wedding there's going to be bumps during the event and she took care of everything like a professional and was able to keep the party moving and flowing (we didn't even notice there was any issues, which is the way it should be). I worked with Taylor Vesp at a wedding in Utah and I was amazed at her attention to detail throughout the entire preparation and execution process. As a DJ I work with a lot of wedding planners but Taylor definitely stood out to me. She was fun to work with (There are a lot of planners that are not fun to work with - trust me!) and she made sure that the bride and groom were the center of attention the entire night. The one thing I would continuously recommend when asked about my wedding was to hire Tailored Events to plan it! We had a destination wedding and Taylor and her team went above and beyond from start to finish! From helping find - a venue, florist, music, etc. all in another country to getting our guests to our destination - flights, rental cars, rooms and then to pulling off an incredible Welcome Party and Wedding! She is incredible when it comes to executing your vision. There was a mistake on the venue's part during the rehearsal dinner and she had everything sorted and back on track before anyone noticed a thing!
