Loved this little store. Got a couple pair of slip ons. A small coin purse and a hand decorated shopping bag. You pick stamps for you shoes. Inside. It was great fun. Love the shoes I got here when traveling!

One of the coolest stores in Merida! These guys are so so so passionate about what they do, and it shows in the product. I bought an awesome pair of tags (Tom likes shoes) which are handmade in Mexico, and are very high quality. I now wear them everywhere in the states. The shoes were an awesome price (now especially with the dollar being strong), and I can't wait to be back in Merida to buy more! read more

He's very helpful finding your shoe for you. I think we tried on practically every design. Each shoe is Handmade so each shoe might be slightly different fit even though it's the same size. Is similar look to the well known toms shoes and soludos shoes. Love local artisans. Support local. He's expanding his shoes and they ship to some international countries. Let's bring it to Hawaii!! Recently visited Tags on a trip to Mérida with my two daughters and loved the shoes and the experience! The style of shoe is very much like Toms, although they have sandals and boots, as well. The shoes are all handmade by Mayan artisans. When you enter the shop, you will see a selection of different shoes in different designs. They may not have exactly what you want in your size, but if you have enough time (5 days - week) they can make you exactly what you want. Prices are very low (about $15) for the shoes, and it feels like a much more authentic experience than the various shops that cater to cruise ships. We ended up buying a butterfly print pair for my daughter and a pair of sandals for me. We also ordered an awesome Day of the Dead pair that I hope to pick up before flying home. The owner is so welcoming, open, and friendly, speaks excellent English, and is very nice to kids. I highly recommend this shop! read more

Totally with the others reviews . This is a very nice shop to get handmade espadrilles/canvas shoes. It's not expensive 250 pesos or 290 depending if there is design on them or plain .
