Found a bag of taggart ice in a local shop - was very pleasantly surprised to see the unique shape (think sheets of ice that's broken into chunks). The clarity and jewel-like shapes are beautiful in a drink. Now i go to this shop specifically to buy ice. It may or may not melt faster than ice made from those rodlike molds - but hey, that's how thermodynamics works, it has to melt to cool the surrounding liquid. Taggart Ice used to be located of Pine Street in Nashua. And it was a vending machine! You could go there anytime day or night, put in your coins and get either a big bag of cubes or a block of ice. So if you were leaving Real early to go deep sea fishing, you would get a block of ice and put it in the boat's cooler to keep All the Fish fresh. I'm talking 40 something years ago. I love their ice. I call it nuggets. It beats the crap out of the tube ice that most places sell. It's great for cocktails, and in coolers. read more

This product is just thin shards of ice. It's as if to save time they are freezing sheets of ice and then breaking it apart. These gives fast melting ice that is nearly useless. I'll stick to getting my ice where they do not distribute. read more

I honestly wish I could give zero stars, the service is so awful. We have been using them to deliver ice for a company for awhile and I have made at least a dozen calls, as well as calls from my co-workers because they do not follow a real delivery schedule. We are supposed to get deliveries twice a week, and I have stressed this on multiple occasions and have tried to get them to agree to set dates/times, yet we continue to go a week at a time with no ice. Every time I call, the people talk over me and try to rush me off the phone. I am currently looking for another ice provider due to all of the issues we've had. If you want reliable ice delivery service, certainly don't bother with this company. read more

I'm not sure who to blame here, so I'm going to start at the source. We have been buying our ice once or twice a week at R&L Liquors on 110 in Salisbury. It's Taggart Ice and it SUCKS! It's one huge block and if you examine it, there's an awfull lot of SNOW inside. You have to beat it with a hammer and further reduce it to more snow to get it to fit in your glass. It's just horrible. It's convenient to buy it there because it's just across the street, but it's just too crappy. I guess I'll try to find a different liquor store read more
