Well I'm back. For the last time. This review has been a long time coming. My family loves Taco Prado's food. We ate there once a week since the day we moved to Mableton. Every time we had company, we bought them Taco Prado. The food is one of a kind. Here's why I cut ties. (Other than my previous complaint of high turnover rates and awful customer service) Several times I've gone by to order or eat and they are closed even though they haven't indicated that they wouldn't be open. Then in late 2018 they changed to holiday hours. Which I get, apparently they aren't doing much business at night (go figure) and to my surprise they actually posted their new hours. But that also meant I have to start hustling more to make it there before they close. Before Christmas, I called at 6:00p and asked what time they closed that day, they said 8p. I went to my class which got out at 7:40 and was 3 mins away. I called them as soon as I got out of class to basically tell them, hey I'm down the street please don't turn off the oven. I called 3 times and no one answered. So I get there at 7:43 and the lights are off, and the group of employees are locking up to leave! I had had it. I waited at the door and asked them why they are closed when it says 8. They said because of holiday hours and slow business. I told them I had called less than 2 hours ago and was told they were open until 8. She just stared at me. I told her I was frustrated because I tried to let them know a customer was on the way 20 mins til closing, and that we really enjoy their food and we're there every week. She just looked at me and said "ok". I asked who the manager was and she said she was the manager! (That explains EVERYTHING I previously complained about)I asked her if they are going to change their hours, it should be posted somewhere or, better yet, just stay open when you say you'll be open. Again she just stared and said "ok". I walked away at that point. We will no longer return to Taco Prado. It's unfortunate and we'll miss the food but I'm not surprised their business is declining read more

Work colleagues recommended that I try this place for Lunch. This is a very traditional Mexican restaurant & it's a good spot to grab lunch. Ordered Chicken Burrito & it was huge - chicken was marinated perfectly with rice & beams. It's one of the better burritos I have had in Atlanta. Colleague ordered Vegetable quesadilla & seemed to like it. We also ordered to guacamole & it tasted freshly made with cilantro & jalapeño. They have a big Bar for condiments & salsa for your taco. Hole in the Wall= Great Surprise. A group of guys had drove up to Six Flags for the weekend from SW Florida and looked for a great local spot to eat. We found Taco Prado and the reviews were favorable so we went. I was impressed with the quality and freshness of the food as well as the authenticity! I love good old fashioned Mexican food, nothing fancy just delicious. We watched a football (Soccer) game with the locals and then went home with smiles on our faces! Not too bad. Im not a fan of corn in my rice. The good they have carne asada fries, bad thing it only comes with cheese. You have to add beans, cream, and guac. That takes it well over $10. Lo mejor! This place is about 15-20 minutes from my house, and well worth the drive when I'm craving authentic Mexican tacos (and don't feel like cooking it myself). My husband and I have been faithful customers of this reataurant for a while. There have been times where we gotten our food to go, driven home to find they have completely screwed up our orders. Sometimes they barely speak to yoi and aren't friendly, but I've chalked that up to a slight language barrier. Even with all of this, we have still patronized them because we believe in supporting small businesses and the quality of the food is a solid 3.5 sometimes 4 out of 5. Tonight we called 25 minutes before closing time and told the young lady we wanted to place a pick up order. She said ok and then put me on hold. After about a minute someone picked up the phone and hung up in my face. We tried calling back several times and noone would answer. After about 5 minutes we called back and someone finally answered and said they were closed and hung up in my husband's face. The crazy thing is we were only ordering 6 steak tacos with nothing on them. We have spent sometimes $20-$40 at a time consistently on meals here. Tonight was our last time. You will learn to treat customers with respect. This was inexcusable. There are about 4-5 Mexican restaurants with decent food within a 1-3 mile radius here in Mableton, I suggest if you want good food, margaritas and friendly service try one of those. read more

Hands down the best thing we ordered was the shredded beef taco. It was full of flavor and did not need a thing added except for the diced onions with cilantro. Second would be the beef with lime and the ground beef. The homemade corn tortillas are also wonderful and not dry at all. The chicken taco was probably the least interesting. I would skip it next time. Definitely stop by the salsa bar for an assortment of toppings. Service was not fast but was friendly and there was plenty of seating available even though the parking lot was packed. read more

Came by six flags earlier than I should so looked for a place to kill some time. There wasn't much in this area but was surprised to see a Mexican place with such high rating. The place was much bigger than I thought it was gonna be. I had just few tacos here. Crunchy taco was one of the best I had. Make sure to get sauce and salsa to add to your dish. it's in the main hallway but the metal lid was closed so if you don't know it's there, you can easily miss it. Fantastic Mexican food. Very reasonably priced. The staff was friendly. The service was fast even though they were in the middle of a pretty busy lunch rush. The salsa was great. The side of guac was generous. The chicken quesadilla and the veggie quesadilla were awesome, as were the veggie nachos. This place is a little gem in Mableton. Luckily it is right across the street from me so I can enjoy it frequently and easily! Their food is fresh, authentic and delicious. I have had their quesadillas, tacos, burritos and my husband has tried their enchiladas which he raved about. Their serving sizes are huge. A burrito is 2 meals for me, sometimes 3 and their prices are unbeatable. $5.50 for a steak burrito that will feed me for 2 meals. I'll take it!
