Chips Salsa and Beans
Lei G.

First time trying Nazo Taco and so happy we did! Chips Salsa and Beans were tasty & the salsa had some heat!! Chorizo Potato and Eggs Burrito was fantastic and good sized portion. Marinated Pork Taco - Pastor, Chicken Taco, Carne Asada Taco were all so delicious and loved all the toppings. Their green & red salas were a hot treat. Definitely recommend everything we ate!

Chile rellenos plate.

If you're looking for authentic traditional Mexican "homemade" food this is it. I got the chiles rellenos and felt as if I had made them myself. The carne asada was very flavorful. My one year old devoured two tacos. Definitely a place to try.

This is the best taco spot in town. I'm from California and I've been missing the authentic, high quality tacos. This place is amazing. I always get carnitas tacos. The meat is cooked perfectly. I can't speak for the other meats. The salsas are amazing and their cakes are sooo good. I HIGHLY recommend this spot if you want a taste of the real deal. Everyone there is so kind and make you feel so welcome.

Seeing as how we've been here twice in the last two days it was about time to write a review. The best breakfast burritos in a 5 square mile radius, and some of my wife's favorite local carne asada tacos ($1.99 each). This place is legit, we've been coming for the last 8 years and it's only gotten better. I order something different every time and always like it, they have happy hour, great Mexican soups and the prices can't be beat.

Al pastor burrito

Came here after a softball game and it definitely hit the spot. This is the 2nd time we've visited this place and it never disappoints. My first visit I got the carne asada burrito, and my 2nd visit I got the Al pastor. Both burritos were very flavorful and the green salsa is awesome. I love their tortillas! Service was fast and friendly. Will keep coming back!

Could Pier 88 be my new favorite local spot for seafood boil???…read more Yes... yes it is! We ordered three pounds of head-on shrimp. Spice level was medium and went with the 88 Special seasoning (a combination of cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper) - AMAZING flavor!! Perhaps my favorite aspect was that their seasonings were not overly salty - I feel that most other seafood boil restaurants just include way too much salt in their seasonings... but at Pier 88, you can really indulge without feeling like you're going to end up with high blood pressure! Extras included corn, sausage, and potatoes... and those were all delicious as well! I couldn't have been happier with this meal... so I will definitely return again soon! Being celiac, I did not have to worry about gluten being in anything we ordered! Overall rating: *****FIVE STARS***** Gluten-free rating: *****FIVE STARS*****

This place looked like it did a good seafood boil and was located near where our hotel was. Upon entering we were greeted and sat right away. He ordered a shrimp basket while I ordered my usual snow crab. Heads up, all the supplies will be brought in the bottom of the discard bucket like gloves, lemons, and crab crackers. I wasn't aware of this, and placed all the discarded items on top of it while eating bareheaded as I didn't see supplies, and no one was around to ask. Usually places will bring on the side, and I wish I was told that in advance when it was brought to the table. It made for quite the mess, but if we return I'll know for next time. Once our server returned to check in after 10+ minutes that's when we were advised, and I adjusted though I had put my boil bag in there so most had been soiled. As for the food, he liked his shrimp while I thought the crab was okay in flavor/spice. It didn't really standout out like other places I've been to recently, but overall I would return if I was in the area.

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more King's Fish House 35 S McClintock Drive Tempe, 85281 Good places to have a fish dinner are getting hard to find. We decided to give this one a try. Companion and I arrived at 5:45 and were seated promptly. Our server Nikki brought menus and took our drink orders. We started off with Calamari. It was perfectly cooked and came with 2 sauces that I have never had served with it before. One was MaPloi, and the other was an aioli that was nicely spicey. The portion was large and unfortunately, we couldn't finish it. Companion ordered Fish & Chips. A nice sized portion of cod, perfectly fried. Unfortunately, the chips were not fried the way companion asked for them and most of them were left on the plate. For myself, I ordered the Scallop & Shrimp Combo which came with nicely prepared brussel sprouts which were grilled and then had balsamic vinegar over them. I also ordered the char broiled zucchini, which I did not care for and left most of it on my plate. On to desserts! Desserts are prepared in house and not from the outside. Companion ordered Bread Pudding. Sliced from a loaf and served with a Jack Daniels Whiskey sauce and a ball of vanilla ice cream. Companion was so full that it was not finished but not before declaring it to be delicious. I ordered the Butter Cake. A delicious cupcake sized portion tasting deeply of butter, served with whipped cream, berries, and topped with vanilla ice cream. Once again, the portion was so big that I could only eat half of it. As one might expect in a restaurant of this caliber, it was squeaky clean. Service was efficient and almost all of the food was prepared as ordered. 5 stars

I decided to sit at the bar for a quick happy hour and the bartender was very friendly and prompt. I ordered a coffee to go along with my butter cake and it was honestly the perfect pairing. My friend and I met for lunch at Hooked Seafood Grill on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy,…read moreso we were able to grab a table and order pretty quickly. They have a pretty basic menu, with some appetizers, and then all seafood options are available to be ordered as salads, tacos, sandwiches, and platters. My friend ordered the Garlic Butter Red Snapper sandwich and I got two tacos, one shrimp & one fried fish. We also got a side of fries (paid extra as there are no sides that come with the sandwich). My friend said her sandwich was pretty good, a bit messy to eat but had good flavors. That was the least expensive sandwich option, which was already a bit of a steep cost, the other were even more. If it came with fries or another side, it might have been a better deal. The additional side of fries we ordered were good though, nothing special, but nice and crispy as you'd want. While there was nothing inherently wrong with the tacos, it is interesting that all options have the same toppings (cabbage, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and white sauce); the protein is the only thing that's different. The fish was fried well and crispy, shrimp was pretty basic. There was a lot of cabbage and not enough sauce so I had asked for additional dressing on the side so I could basically eat the taco like a mini salad. The restaurant is nice and service was good while we were there. We had gotten soda and our server checked in on us multiple times to ensure we had everything we wanted. I'd order something else next time, like maybe the larger plate (with protein, rice, and salad) or just a traditional fish & chips basket that comes with coleslaw. Hoping for a better food experience in the future!
