Food came out fresh and hot however that was the only good thing about the visit. our server Kara wasn't that attentive at all. She had one of her co workers check on us since she wasn't able to and well that's just disappointing. I didn't appreciate that at all. She only came back with haste for the check. Prob one of the nicest and cleanest Taco Mac I've been too. Also Emmanuel my server was great when taking my order on a busy Friday night. I had a nice drink and forgot to take a pic of my food cause I was hungry but the wings and fries was good! Fresh to Oder and got it with dry rub lemon pepper and mild wing sauce with seasoned fries. Just OK. Service was quick, but a little strange. The times I had to wait were because my server was also the host. He also had to ?sweep the outside patio? about the time I was trying to leave. So in no way bad service . . . Just not dedicated I guess? Which did delay me getting out and back on the road by a good bit. Only other beef was no horseradish for the fried pickles. I came here with a friend for dinner on a weeknight. We had to wait a bit as it was pretty crowded. We were taken to a table near the bathroom and the whole place smelled musty/dirty. To be honest, it smelled like mildew, almost as if they hadn't been cleaning. It was also really hot despite it being in November. I'm not sure if they weren't running the AC or blasting the heat but it was uncomfortably hot. It took a while for our waiter to come take our order and even longer for the food to come out. I ordered the lemon pepper wings, half dry and half wet. They were tough and small. Admittedly, I was still hungry afterwards even though I spent about $30 in total with tip for my food. read more

There is nothing that I believe the Woodstock location needs to improve on. Every time when I walk in I am greeted with a smile and hello, frequently including my name; and the friendly and helpful staff behind the bar is always willing to share their knowledge of the wonderful selection of draft beers and menu items they have to choose from. Went in for a late night dinner never got greeted one time sat there for 15 minutes lights so bright music was blasting and we watched the manager and 2 other servers ones name was Taylor she has pink hair, the manager said Taylor was our server.Then she proceeded to clean every single one of her tables off and still never came to greet us! This girl doesn't deserve a raise or anything her attitude is absolutely trash and her service sucks! If you don't want to work late DONT WORK AT A PLACE THATA OPEN TILL 1-2 am every night . i am 68 years young and certainly don't look under 50. I went there to get a burger and bloody mary. The server immediately asked for ID. I asked why. He said they carded everyone, it is policy. i was not happy. This was a huge insult to me and my status as a senior citizen. It might make them feel good to card everyone so they don't make the younger patrons free better but carding a senior citizen is an insult and shows the lack of common sense. read more

I've become a regular customer because of the outstanding staff, management, and food at the Woodstock, GA location. The team always remembers you, interacts with you, and is incredibly helpful when you're not sure which new beer to try. I went to pick up wings I ordered before the Super Bowl. There must have been a 100 people waiting for their to go orders. Something is way off at this Taco Mac - menu is different and food execution is radically different than the Taco Mac in Forsyth. Quantity of food is also less. Awesome place! I brought my girlfriend there this week (her first time). She was thrown off by the lackluster sign, but then impressed when she walked in. The server was excellent (Julia), and very welcoming. The food was great, since it's Lent choices for seafood are rare to come by. The shrimp tacos are filling and the shrimp itself is nice and meaty. My girlfriend loved the non-fried wings options and lemon pepper was a hit. Julia also reminded me about the Brewniversity thing, and it turns out I had an account (it's been 5 years since I've been). So I started racking up points again. My girlfriend now has gone 3 times this week, and myself two. The cherry on top is the manager and Julia bringing over a complimentary Butterscotch cronut dessert to celebrate her first time in. Walked in. Was greeted and seated quickly at a high top by the hostess. In addition to her, I made eye contact with a server who was not assigned to my table and a bar staff person. The server told me someone would be right with me. She walked to the double doors at the far end of the floor on the other side of the bar. I could see five or six other staff there. They all stayed behind the doors. I decided to leave after no one came by in what I felt was a reasonable waiting time. I told the hostess who apologized. Suggestion: when it's slow enough for a server to lean against the hostess podium visiting and slow enough for a bar staff person to walk the lengths of the bar and turn around without having any bar customer ask for something and slow enough to have five or six staff gathered right behind double doors to the kitchen standing around for several minutes, then someone - anyone - should come over to the newly-seated guest at a high top with a glass of ice water at the very least. Y'all are known for much better service than this. Do better. read more

I came here for lunch after spending a long day on the road. My buddy and his friend also had some good memories of this place in their history so there was a bit of nostalgia for them as well. I was brought in by the wings and the large selection of beers. I hadn't had wings in a while but was glad to see that I could divide up the wings into however many flavors I wanted, I went with my usual of Lemon Pepper and Hot Buffalo with a side of fries. We all ordered beers and we got them pretty quickly and we had that awkward moment where we realized that our server gave us all the wrong beers. Definitely not a fun moment to be had and we debated whether we should get new pours but our server didn't come around for a while despite it being pretty slow. Our wings came out first and then another wait for the fries. By the time my fries arrived my wings were pretty cold. I really did want to like this place with all the beers and the nostalgia but there are some service issues both front and back of house that needs to be fixed. read more

Let's just talk about one thing first.... for a restaurant, as well known as Taco Mac, to feature wings FRONT AND CENTER on your menu, your wings suck. They really do. They're tiny. They're dry as all get out. The flavors are trash. Small rant over. Ate here with my family tonight. This location was a Taco Mac for years and then changed names for a few months, and it's right back to being a Taco Mac. I don't know if all the staff is new or maybe just our server is new or maybe Cynthia was having a bad night or maybe she just sucks in general. Serving tables 101.... to properly refill a drink, bring a new glass with said beverage in it and take the old cup away. Cynthia likes to take your cup and be gone for 5-10 minutes leaving you with nothing to drink, so prepare yourself for that. Don't eat saltines, or anything spicy, then ask for a refill, you'll die. Like I said the wings were God awful. I didn't even bring them home. I only ate maybe 4 out of the 20 I ordered. Cynthia was supposed to give me all flats. That didn't happen. I wanted ranch and blue cheese. That didn't happen either. My wings came out 15 minutes after my families food. My moms Philly looked great and she said she liked it. Dad had chicken tenders that were dry as the Sahara. Girlfriend had bacon, cheese, chicken, Tater Tots. They looked good too. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS REVIEW. If you don't read any of the review, please read this. I ate my wings and went to wash my hands in the bathroom. As I was washing, a male employee, not sure if he was a manager or a server, but he was wearing a black Taco Mac polo shirt and his name was either Brian or Ryan, came out of the stall, and WENT STRAIGHT OUT THE DOOR. No hand washing. Nothing. That's gross and a MAJOR health code violation. So, that being said, if you read this review and you still for some reason eat here, which is probably a bad idea, don't get the wings and stay really far away from Brian/Ryan. read more

Went with the boyfriend and his parents for a casual meal on a Saturday night. We were seated pretty quickly but it pretty much went downhill from there. The server, Cynthia, was either new or inattentive in general. She took an extended amount of time to complete simple tasks like refilling drinks (taking them off the table and leaving us with no drinks at all), taking appetizer orders, getting the orders into the kitchen correctly, etc. I got the Bacon, Chicken, Ranch "Tater Toppers" and it was good which is why they got any stars. The boyfriend ordered 20 Wings with Mac&Cheese as a side, all flats with half and half flavors and his order came out 15 minutes after ours did. Initially they brought out 10 wings that weren't all flats and he immediately sent them back because well... that's not what he ordered. They didn't bring his side out with it, nor any sauces either. When they returned with his wings, they were correct but no sauces and she said the side was in the oven... 15 minutes after the food on the rest of the table was out. Not to mention, the boyfriend went to wash his hands after eating wings and a male server walked right out of the stall and right out the door... didn't stop to wash his hands and we watched him bounce from table to table afterward. im a former employee of taco mac woodstock and dont get me wrong it very busy and has great customer service but the kitchen is disgusting. ive seen it first hand they pick up food that falls on the floor and put it back on the plate, and the managers allow it! theres mice, and roaches. the only thing they care about is making sure that the servers(what i use to be) are making money not for us but them selves. its all about numbers and money.at the end of the day the managers dont give a fuck about the customers. the only time they clean up is when they know that the kicthen sanitation is coming. the reuse food so that they wont have a huge decrease in inventory i will be taking this issue to corporate read more

Did you know that your 20oz Brewniversity mug actually only holds 18oz? I discovered this fact when I purchased one of this month's promotional 18oz Miller Lite bottles and poured it into a mug. When challenged, the bartender sheepishly admitted that with the recent glassware change the mugs were reduced to 18oz. However, their web site still claims that they are 20oz. Started out a rough the drinks being spilled on my sister.However, we by the end of the evening it turned out fantastically. Both the waiter and the manager took care of us and my sister and the waiter were both smiling together by the end of the night. Food was hot and fast, and we all had a great time. This is is very ehh. I hate reviews like this one, and I really want to like this place, but each of the three times I've gone in, something went wrong. One order lost, one bartender too busy on her phone to keep my glass filled, and one quesadilla that I waited on so long that it was cold when it arrived. I always visited this restaurant in the past but the last few times, getting worst. I will never return at this point, there are too many choices. Wings were my favorite, now not a chance. Beer is always over priced, but huge selection. Service is horrible, seems to be new faces on every visit and not consistent at all (bad to good at best). It was brought to my attention that the management and staff have been plagued with reports and instances of sexual harassment and rather then handle the problem they covered it up and blamed the victim. They do not take care of their employees and I will not be dinning here ever again. Neither should you. What if that was your son or daughter being sexually harassed at work. read more

Everything I've had is well seasoned, properly cooked and consistently good. There's another Sidelines nearby and I don't go there because the food simply isn't as good. This location gets the food right. But there are problems here that shouldn't be happening. The floor around the bar can get incredibly greasy--enough that I've worried about an older customer slipping and falling. I've mentioned it before. I was told they knew it needed to be degreased. Yet it continues. Then there are the plates. I routinely get plates with greasy fingerprints on them. Today mine had a large greasy thumbprint. I worked in professional kitchens. You don't send a plate out looking like that. Wipe it before it crosses the pass. The chef should notice. Whoever is expediting should notice. The server should notice. Today, halfway through my sandwich, I also found a small piece of plastic on the plate that appeared to be from food packaging, then a small hair, possibly an eyelash, beside the sandwich. Accidents happen anywhere. Good restaurants catch them before the plate reaches the customer. And then there's the restroom. About three weeks ago I went in and it was absolutely filthy. Not "someone made a mess during lunch" filthy. Old, matted toilet paper was stuck to the floor and all around and behind the toilet and pedestal sink. The mirror was dirty. There was grime everywhere. This had clearly accumulated over time. It was bad enough that I took a video. After eating, I went to the host stand and asked for the manager. She was standing there talking with other employees and told me she was the manager. I explained the problem. Her immediate response was: "Oh, I don't ever go in that bathroom. I don't go in there. I don't check that." I was blown away. The manager of a restaurant was explicitly telling a customer she doesn't check one of her restrooms. Rather than taking responsibility, her first response was to distance herself from it. She told me to just tell her what was wrong. I said she needed to see it and offered to walk over there with her. She showed no interest in going. I told her I had taken a video and offered to show her. Again: "Just tell me." No. I insisted she watch it because describing it wouldn't communicate how bad it was. I showed her the entire video. After seeing it, she said she would send someone back to clean it. Fine. Surely it would be handled. Except it wasn't. The next time I was there, I checked. It was pretty much the same. The same matted toilet paper was still around and behind the toilet and pedestal sink. It had not been properly cleaned. I said nothing. I don't beat dead horses. I had gone directly to the manager, offered to take her in there, made her watch the video when she wouldn't go look herself, and she told me it would be handled. If it still wasn't handled after all that, I had my answer. I was back again today. The same manager was there, sitting by herself at one of the long high-top tables looking at her phone. Meanwhile, my plate came out with a greasy thumbprint, a piece of plastic and a hair on it. Management was there. This wasn't a day when nobody was in charge. Even the service reflected the same lack of attention. I needed to leave, so I asked the bartender for a to-go box. She had taken my order and served me one drink; other staff brought my food. I still tipped her $3, roughly 18% of the entire check. While I was still sitting there, she picked up the signed receipt and looked at it. Let the customer leave before you collect the receipt and see what they tipped you. When I got up to leave, I thanked her. Her response: "Yeah." Not "thank you." Not "you're welcome." Just "yeah." Any one of these things alone could be dismissed. But eventually there are too many things pointing in the same direction. The problem is management. There doesn't appear to be an adult in the room establishing a standard and making sure it is followed. And by "adult," I don't mean age. I mean someone taking ownership. Walk the restaurant. Check the bathrooms. Look at the floors and the plates leaving the kitchen. Train the staff. Correct things when they're wrong. Follow up when a customer brings something serious to your attention. Hold people to a standard and make sure it was actually met. That's managing. Standing at the host stand--or sitting at a table looking at your phone--while these things happen isn't. I really like this Sidelines. That's why I keep coming back and why I'm bothering to write this. The food is genuinely excellent. This should be one of the easiest restaurants in the area for me to recommend.
