Mixed reviews but I tried them anyway because my reviews are real! I get it. This place want to let the world know we are the healthy way to eating tacos. But healthy does not mean no flavor. I like the crispy texture of their tacos but the meat needs salt to taste. I tried the green spicy sauce but it was lumpy tasteless with an after taste of mild spice. The ordered nachos too from the picture on the drive thru window showed the nachos came with jalapeños. I asked the difference between the $2.99 priced nachos and $6.99 priced nachos. She said the lesser one only cane with cheese. I ordered the 6.99 one because it came with more toppings. So when she handed me my bag I said whoa this is a huge bag she said yeah, we packed your nachos separate. I was sweet because I wanted to wait til I got home to eat it. Get half way home because images to eat a chip and the nachos were filled with tons of cheese no jalapeños. Chips soggy! My Issue is with the unthoughtful worker that grabbed a to-go container to put chips and cheese together to send out the window. What a waist. read more

my family and i are just visiting a friend who lives here, and we wanted to go to eat. we drove past this place and decided to try it. we order our food, and we are expecting it to be good. the meat on my taco had some hard little part in it, my dads enchilada made him sick to his stomach, he literally threw up twice, and my dad isn't the type to get sick like that so it really surprised me he threw up. my siblings say their tacos were really bland and the shell tasted gross, so i advice you not to come here. read more

ok, I am really picky when it comes to Mexican food BUT not when it comes to Fast Food Mex. I do, however, have my standards. I ate a Tostada, which are very hard for me to find a good one. I have yet to find THE ONE. Taco Casa, you can tell does try.... I was pleased but not overwhelmed. The tortilla held up for each bite. It was loaded with lettuce and cheese and the refried beans were a little bland (that's ok). The tostada was huge - almost as big as my face. They do have an array of menu items with the calorie index if you're into that. Prices are reasonable. My hubby had an Enchirito that looked like a burrito. It came with the house sauce and black olives which my husband was very pleased. He did say it was bland - he likes a little kick and taste to his food. Very spacious place with an outdoor patio and I could see that it is family friendly. Will we go back again. Not anytime soon but at least we tried it. If you are a fan of fast food texmex maybe you will like this place. read more

This is just a more expensive Taco bell. Customer service was great. Food was sub par. Messy, I had to use like 50,000 napkins. The "super" taco is just a slightly larger regular $1.09 taco. 70% cheese, 25% lettuce, & 5% taco meat. Spent $15 on 4 items, not including drinks. Thumbs down. read more

The staff was helpful and kind, restaurant looks nice but food ... completely different story. I guess casa is better when it comes to ingredients but barely. This place was recommended by my daughter's volleyball coach. I dropped her off for camp today and was starving so I decided to try it out. The staff were very helpful and friendly in the drive thru. They do a great job selling their product. I had a couple super tacos and a sweet tea. The tacos were crispy, stuffed full of goodness and flavorful and the sweet tea was not too sweet. Just popped in for a quick bite. First time. I'm always picky on my tea and it was great! I ordered the nachos and I am in love. The ground beef is nicely seasoned and the chips are so light and just right. I also ordered a burrito but I wasn't crazy on the beans. I'll try the spicier version next time. Customer service was great. The workers were all polite. Restaurant was immaculate on a Saturday afternoon even though the place was about 75 percent full. Still had enough of those nachos to take home and I can't wait to eat those tonight lol. The guy even thanked is before we left. I'll definitely be back. Went through the drive-thru for lunch. Got two taco light and a tostada. I agree with other reviewers about being better than Taco Bell and taco cabana. Their menu is short and simple but the portions are big and the taste is good. I do plan on going back. If you haven't yet, you should try it. read more

We ordered tacos to go and boy was I disappointed, the meat had no seasoning and it was dry. We didn't finish the tacos, I had to throw them away. This place is one of my family favorites. We drive about 40 min every week to eat here. They mess uP sometimes but we still come back. That is how fresh and great there food is. They always have different employees. I'm guessing that's the norm here in houston. We have that issue at my job. People just don't want to work. Anyways, great place. I travel frequently to the DFW area, my mother and brother will often tag along, and both are well-versed in my obsession with Taco Casa. I have frequented many locations, on multiple occasions, from Corsicana to the throughout the Metroplex. Being the Costco junkies that we all are, we took the drive out to Cypress from Houston to check out the new location. To say the very least, our 3-4 mile drive off of Hwy 290 to visit your location was the absolute highlight of the day!From the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the establishment, down to the best crispy tacos I have had from all of the locations, a HUGE THUMBS UP TO THE ENTIRE STAFF! The absolute pinnacle of customer service was the manager (I wish I got his name) who visited every table for quality control and brought my mother some cinnamon and sugar chips for dessert that she absolutely loved! Keep up the great work, if I was to ever own a franchise, this is how I would do it!!! read more

This place has great potential but the customer service is horrible along with the wait time. Everytime we give this place another chance they show us why we stopped coming. Yesterday I waited in the drive thru for at least 15 minutes for 2 hard and 3 soft shell tacos. Only for me to pull off and my order was incorrect. Normally I would have just drove off and dealt with it but I bought the tacos for my toddlers and know I would regret not getting what I asked for. I went inside and since I didn't have 15 more minutes for them to get the order correct I asked for my money back. They workers were trying to figure out where the "Manager" was and they finally remembered he went outside. Once he came to the counter with he took my receipt and went to the back. He came back with the cash and reached in his pocket for the change. Not once did he apologize for the fact it took them forever to give me my order and then for the fact that they messed it up. Just handed me the money and left. I know this is the only location we have but this isn't the first time we've had to wait in line for an extremely long time. This isn't the first time the order has been wrong. My husband even went inside last week and after waiting a long time with no one else in the lobby he had to remind them that he didn't get his food. There was another time my kids and I were in the drive thru and once we got up to the window we could hear music blasting along with the many curse words that came out of whatever song they were listening to. They really need to hire better staff and management. We will not go back to this establishment. read more

I am a Taco casa fan! Obsession started in North Texas & was so excited to have one right here in Cypress. Well...it hasn't taken long to realize this Casa is Not Anything like the quality of others. Wait time in line yesterday, June 21st, was from 11:10 to almost 11:30 & when the 2 cars ahead of me left without food I was told that they could not serve my food due to warmer troubles. Ugh! It's not good to let a customer sit there & 20 minutes in line & then tell them no food is available. This is not the first time I have drove this far to get Casa & have had to leave with no food or substandard food but I can assure u that it WILL b my last. This is the worse Taco Casa in Tx and the only one so far in Houston area. They're extremely slow to service customers and have the audacity to add an additional charge if you pay by card and not cash. The food isn't nearly as good as other Taco Casa restaurants either. First And last time here. I purchased the super nachos. They should be called flavorless nachos. Portion was good price fair but NOT AT ALL WORTH THE CALORIES. How in the world did this place get over three stars? The place was clean and the workers helpful, but I'm not here for the company. I alsoj purchased a small Sprite which had free refills but you have to get the workers to refill it. Ok, whatever, but even the Sprite was flavorless, more fizz than flavor.
