Where should I start, maybe I shouldn't be as disappointed as I am, especially since the parking lot is pitch black and no one cares to answer the phone. It says "Taco Ca Ca", exactly right... ca ca. I'm sure the food will be ok, it always is, but why advertise being open until 10pm and it really means we lock the doors at 905pm. Then I drive from 290 over here to past west road, (10 minutes at least) and in the dark after I get out of the car I hear "we closed in there"...wtf?! Then he repeats himself... creep af! The lighting sucks here.

Super Taco! So much cheese!

I really don't get why this place has three stars. It's fast food so I obviously don't expect it to be a Michelin star place, but the food was great and the service was probably even better! The drive thru was packed when we went in and even though the workers were hustling in the back making the food, they still greeted us promptly. It took a minute or so for them to take our order, but only because they were busy making other orders. Our food came out very quickly regardless of how busy they were with to go orders. Will certainly come back here!

i feel like I was robbed! I ordered a Taco Salad with no shell or beans and this is what I got. It is 1/4 size of the normal salad container. They didn't include the salsa which serves as the dressing. Basically I got a Super Taco without the shell. This is ridiculous. I know this isn't Papasito's or Ninfa's, but come on...It's not that hard to make minor modifications and not rip off the customer.

Good food hope the place does not go out of business. But they are closed today 10/15/2025 due to maintenance.

Don't get me wrong - I love Taco Casa. But please do not eat here because they have black mold growing EVERYWHERE. Health Code violation.

Sometimes things just need to be simple when you cook them; No frills, no thrills, just a good taco. The ingredients are simple and fresh, crisp taco shells, seemingly with little light air pockets, and 100% pure beef, and a nice amount. Loads of cheese on the tacos, but the good stuff, as though mom grated it fresh. My hubby says it's too much cheese for him because he's a 'meat' guy, but I'm fine with it because it's so fresh. The menu here is simple, not a whole lot of variety, but good enough-depends on what you're looking for. I really wish they had value meals daily. They do promote 'Taco Tuesdays', with a few deals, but everything is pretty much a la carte. We ordered the supreme burrito with no beans - (you can do that) - a 'chilada' -their version of the enchilada, with loads of black olives, which I love, and a few crunchy tacos. Their soft tacos are great as well. As long as they're using that great meat as the foundation for their recipes, they're good to go. Finally, pretty good sweet tea - just know, it's really sweet. Casual spot right in the neighborhood, with plenty of seating and mounted TVs. You'll see lots of families there...enjoying their tacos.

The food was okay..I've had better. I don't like that they don't have combos. The sweet tea is good though. Might return one day.

Food isn't seasoned. The meat tasted sour and old. The portions are generous, but if you throw it away it's not helpful. Don't recommend.

Everything was so delicious my 'Imma just try it' went straight out the window! I had a fajita torta, and for take out delivery, it handled the ride pretty well. It was packed well and STUFFED. I get picky about my food getting soggy or a little too wet (either from lettuce or tomato) but the bread still had bite to it and everything altogether was tasty. Then I ordered fajita tacos (had a huge craving for them all week). And they had onion, cilantro, and limes included to drizzle and it was so good. I didn't even remember to take a picture I just gobbled it all up. The food was DELICIOUS! And their bean soup was so good. I don't usually order bean soup because I enjoy my refried beans but I was beyond surprised that they were so tasty. I ate it all up and drank the broth too! Next time I have to visit the store front to see how customer service is but the food *chefs kiss*

First time visit to this small and excellent restaurant…read more Located at the corner of Fry Road and Mound Road it has a restaurant seating area of about 50 and a large bar area for 20 more. The menu is short but includes most of the classics. I had the Seafood Tacos and my wife had the Chicken Mole Enchilada. The tacos were surrounded by a flour tortilla (corn is also available) with fish that can be grilled or steamed. Packed with flavor from the onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and more I enjoyed every last bite. The plate included rice, beans, and sliced red onion. Delicious My wife loved her selection as well. The serving was big enough to take home what was not consumed allowing her an extra day to enjoy the mole. We also ordered a side of guacamole which was served as a huge rounded scoop on a plank. Don't get me started on the chips we used to eat every last bit of the guacamole. When we told our waiter, Jose, how much we liked the chips he gave us a bag to take home! I had some today and they were still crunchy with a hint of salt. Now to drinks: my wife had the house Pinot Grigio and I the house margarita which I ordered frozen with no salt. The margarita had a clear lime note but did not suffer from it. All in all we agreed that Carmelita's deserves a return visit next time Mexican food is our choice.

Why 5 stars? Because the breakfast tacos were all that I hoped they would be…read more --- --- --- When a place has 4.9 stars, it's basically impossible that it's gonna be bad. I'd wanted to try La Cocina for a while for that reason and those plans finally came to fruition. You walk up to a counter that has all the ingredients for taco making right in front of you. The guy asks you how many you are going to want, and if you want flour or corn, so he can let them know in the back to make your tortillas fresh. About 2 minutes later, out came our tortillas. I ordered 3: one with eggs and bacon, one with some kind of egg and sausage combo and one non-breakfast taco with fajita meat. The fajita taco was just okay, but the breakfast tacos had me thinking about them for hours after the fact. They aren't very big, so if you're a growing boy like me, I'd aim for 4-5 of them. The guy behind the counter tried to guide us into his suggestion of 2 each, but I jumped in and said make it 3 for me. If I could go back in time, I would have done 4 and made them all the breakfast variety. Both breakfast tacos were straight bangers from another dimension. All the sauces were great and none were too spicy. I might have to return to this place sooner rather than later because I really did think about it the rest of the day. I love you, La Cocina.
