y'know... i make it a point to, as much as possible, avoid rating places that are a part of restaurant chain or a franchise because the product tends to become so mass produced that the entire experience becomes homogenized in a way, that rating them in different locations becomes redundant. but it's cases like these that i feel deep in my heart, a civic responsibility to warn my community of the outright travesty that exists in hopes that others may avoid the mistake that i've made on many an occasion here... this place is GARBAGE. i've been here several times as it is the closest taco bell to where i live, and my wife and i love us some taco bell. but MAN OH MAN, every time we go the people are pushy and rude. i realize that you're at a taco bell in the ghetto, and i'm not to expect much, but GEEZ. i mean, did you really just snap at me for checking inside of the mysterious box that our food was needlessly in? did you really shove my food in my face? did you really just shut the window in my face as i turned to ask you for the straws and napkins that you should've already given me? really?! read more

We were on our way up to Tahoe when we thought of stopping by the Taco Bell to fuel up for the night. That turned out to be a horrible idea! We are a family of 3 and ordered 3 Chicken chalupa's,Cheesy fiesta potatoes & a drink. Everything tasted alright. As I was finishing up, my husband took our son to the restroom. Just then, the lady who took our order came out of the women's restroom with a cleaning chemical in one hand and a glove in the other. She waited restlessly in front of the men's restroom for my family to come out. This is when we all see a new customer come in. The taco girl, an ardent multitasker, went back to the desk and promptly took her order, even delivered it in a matter of minutes. It all happened so fast, that I wouldn't have noticed even if she had washed her hands. My internal panic alarm went off. That evening I got sick with severe vomiting, an upset stomach with a heartburn that I've never had. Having watched the unhygienic handling of food at Taco Bell, I tend to think that I got sick only because I ate from there. Boy has this place changed! This Taco Bell has amazingly achieved the stellar feat of actually acheiving mediocrity. I would have normally rated it just one star (if even that!!), but with the rebuilding, TB has actually made an effort to genuinly improve the place, which they have. Service is fast, there's ALOT of people working in the back, instead of the usual two. The front desk people have actual communication skills The attitude is one of trying to please the customer. And I guess this is reflected in the fact that there are alot of customers, instead of the usual '0' customers with the old place. So. Come here during my lunch every once in a while and the past 4 times I have waited for over 15 mins in the drive thru with only a couple people ahead of me. And the passed 2 they have messed up my order either by giving me cap'n crunch delights instead of regular cinnabun delights or only giving me one bag of nachos but 2 cheese when i have ordered 2 order of nachos. Little mistakes happen but it shouldnt take this long in a drive thru or happen this often. And dont think going in to order will speed up the process because it will take twice as long with no one ahead of you because they focus drive thru customers which is ironic since they take forever to give you your food in the drive thru. read more

The Taco Bell in Albany, CA stops selling breakfast before 11am. I have tried 3 times in the past. My time has been anywhere from: 10:45am - 10:55am. I should expect to be able to get breakfast items up to 11am on the dot. When I leave my home at 10:45 and know I will be there in 3 minutes, just to find out the manager has shut down breakfast to suit THEIR need, not the customer, I now have wasted my time leaving my home, even though I was on time!!! Why does Taco Bell advertise till 11am but then the local manager changes it to their liking? I have stopped going to this TB all together just because of this. My husband and I like to have Taco Bell once in a while. We have actually never been inside, we usually go for a late night meal/snack. Each time we go there is either a really super helpful person taking the order or just someone taking the other. Which is fine. There is typically a small line, but goes quick. We have tried the supreme taco, regular taco, nachos bell grande, crunch wrap, and the potato burrito. Usually the food is good, there has been a few rare occasions when the tortilla chips are a little stale tasting but one here and there. We have had our dessert not given to us before, and my supreme taco missing tomatoes. Overall though the service is quick from the time I order, to paying to receiving my food all under 5 minutes maybe a little longer if there is a bit of a line. I have never had to wait to long, the food has never made my stomach upset, or the like so i'll be returning. read more

I don't understand why taco bell has such bad reviews. If you are going to go to a fast food joint don't expect gourmet food. The new Grilled Stuffed Nachos are a cheap snack and delicious late night. Their crunchwrap, spicy chicken grillers, and cheesy gordita crunch are among my regular orders. The drive through is consistently the slowest "fast food" of all time. You can wait 20 minutes just to order when there is literally four cars in total in line. On one occasion I got to the order window, didn't even mention that the whole ordeal took 40 minutes even though it was obviously frustrating, and then the young African American female scoffed at me when I asked for sauce. She gave me a total of three packets of mild when I asked for fire sauce. I kindly told her I asked for fire if you don't mind and she said we don't have fire that's why I gave you that. I was thinking Okay...why didn't you mention that... "May I have more than just three packets please?" "You don't need more sauce you didn't order that much". I honestly just laughed and drove off, I don't have the mental capacity to get into a confrontation over Taco Bell. I get you hate your job but just wow lmao. When you are being 100% courteous in the face of all odds and have someone treat you like that it's pretty shocking. Even though I live down the street from this spot It's unequivocally faster to drive five miles up to the San Pablo Taco Bell and go through the drive through in a breeze and deal with individuals that are happy to be employed. Back in the 90's taco bell was great when I was growing up, but now that I still go to Taco Bell, some foods changed very little like adding less ingredients and the taste now of the food is ok and that does not bother me. Now I want to tell ever one why I have a 1 star is because I've been to this taco bell at night 2 times through the drive through. 2 times I went through the drive through, the employees handed me my food through the drive through, I always check to see if they taco bell employee forgot any food or drink, they forgot 2 times. The 2 times they forgot 1 food, sauces/ napkins and 1drinks. The first night the employee was not nice and not saying sorry for forgetting my food and also did it again the 2nd time. Next time I go to this Taco Bell and the employees do this to me again, I will let them know what happen to me other times and I will let them know that I will call Taco Bell head quarter and let them know what happen to me. To Taco Bell Employees at this Taco Bell should shape up and get your act together. This Taco Bell, all other Taco Bells and Taco Bell head quarter should retrain drive through employees on how not to forget food, sauces/ napkins and drinks. This Taco Bell is the BEST by far I have found in the East Bay. I don't know about other shifts or who works there or when, but on Friday 1/3/2020 at about 7PM this small Bell was the cleanest, quietest, no blaring music, the bathroom were spotless and the food was delicious! The manager was a young Latina woman and I complemented her for everything....The food: Chicken Quesadilla tasted better than any I have had in years! The Five layer Burrito had a delicious sauce, was fresh and the soft taco perfect. Sometimes at the other Taco Bells in Pinole and Hercules farther up the 80 fwy, the taste is bland and stale and tasteless. We prefer Del Taco but there is none in the area. But after this Bell I am astounded at what this young woman has done. Don't need Del Taco with this place...Some bad reviews here must be a different shift and different cooks...This night two women, one was the manager, did the preparation and I am thrilled Taco Bell can be this good!!
