Emmanuel Church is a multi-site church, which is one church in multiple locations. Although my home…read morecampus is in Greenwood, we visited the Franklin campus on opening weekend and got to experience the incredible things happening there. It's a little off the beaten path, but once you get there you'll have a great experience. The children's ministry is fantastic, with age-specific rooms that take up at least half the building. Make sure to check in your child (talk to the friendly folks at the desk if you're a first time visitor) and keep your tag for security, they will NOT let you back there without a child to pick up! Services begin with celebrations and announcements, followed by worship with a live band, and then a message - typically a live video feed from Pastor Danny Anderson at the Greenwood campus. You may be like I was and feel hesitant by having a "video pastor" - but I can tell you that he's just as engaging on the screen as he is in person, and you'll be blessed by what he has to say no matter where you are. I thought it would be uncomfortable, but I actually felt right at home. This church has been such a blessing in my life, and we love the Franklin campus. The drive is a bit too much for us to do regularly and we're still attending Greenwood regularly, but if we're ever in the area on Sunday morning again we wouldn't hesitate to jump in.

They are appropriately named "Friendship" as they make you feel important and included the moment you walk through the doors. This church has a really great age range of people - so anyone can feel like they fit in. I really enjoy the sermons as they are interesting and applicable to everyday life even in today's day and age. The music is contemporary and the overall feel is modern. They have lots of social gatherings - often times just for fun and fellowship - beyond the standard bible study group. This is one church that just makes sense - and makes you feel great and energized about your faith as you leave. I cannot wait to grow in my faith with this great community of people.
