I'm happy I was able to stop into this at this TA it had plenty of parking here. I paid for reserved parking which was $25 not bad because I wanted to be closer to the center. There is plenty of free parking if you don't mind the walk. The travel center was well stocked and well maintained. I didn't eat any food here but I do believe there is a restaurant here. Truckers are known to pack-it-away and TA Truck Stops are known to pile-it-on. Our breakfasts came with 3 scrambled, six slices of bacon, mountain of hash browns and sourdough toast with an endless cup-a-joe. Everything was picture perfect, hearty and delicious. Price for 2 was $40.23, a wee bit steep but considering the portion size, suppose thats in line with the ravages of inflation. We've stopped here a few times over the last so many years. It's a medium-sized TA with everything on one floor. There's a large parking lot with additional parking in an extended back lot. There are reserved spots for $20 in the center with lots of free spots around the perimeter. We got there about 4 am on a weekend, and there were still a handful of each. We paid inside. The cashier was pleasant and even offered to see if we had any points. Inside, there's a store, fitness room, laundry, and showers. To do laundry, wash or dry is $3 that you can pay through an app on your phone or with coins. The shower was small, but it had good pressure and nice hot water. Showers are $18. For food, there's a Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, and a Country Pride, along with a few options in the store. We had breakfast twice at the Country Pride. For breakfast, we ordered the Porkchop & Eggs and Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs. Both were very good. Debbie was our server and was very personable. It's definitely one of the better, if not best, Country Pride's we've been to in some time. The only negatives for me were that the prices are high, but they are everywhere, and the laundry area is small. read more

I am a simple guy. I need a place to shower, pop my popcorn, and park my truc. The showers were down due to no hot water. Yet, I would still have to pay to use shower for misc use. I think that could've been free or at least a disxount. My appt to get my tire replaced was 8am the next day. I called and then I was informed that had I helped them put me in the queue. So basically they wouldn't have called me. Took about 3 hours after to get in a lane. Then once in lane I was done pretty quiccly. Seems like it's more reserved parking than actual parking. The parking lot pavement seems like it hasn't been touched up in 50 years. But there were a lot of parking in general. Probably like 200 truccs there. It was a peaceful stay. read more

This TA is a-OK. There's really nothing special about it... ...restrooms in a otherwise very poor i-84 stretch that offers nothing for motorist but traffic and aggravation. Yeah, I love CT highways NOT. They have a Burger King, a convenience store and very busy and heavily used restrooms with out of order stalls. The convenience is that it's right off the highway and it offers some quick in and out drivers the ability to not drive far. Eats: We stopped in the Country Pride restaurant and I will submit a separate review of this place, but the quick gist is: it was DEAD empty on a Saturday afternoon! Food sucked and was expensive! Paid over $50 for 2 club sandwiches and some chicken fingers. Fries appeared like they were taken out of a frozen bag, and soaked in oil, staff were disinterested and food took forever to be sent out. AVOID this like the plague! I should have just went to BK if I wanted to eat garbage, at least it would have been a fraction of what I paid. read more

I was very impressed that it not only had a gas station & convenient store, it also had a Dunkin Donuts, Burger King and a small restaurant. Plenty of options for anyone. I was most impressed with how clean the store and restrooms were. When we got there they had just finished cleaning them but you could tell they were very well taken care of and maintained. If you're headed toward Hartford on 84W, looking for a rest stop, and already in Connecticut, well it is your only option for one-stop shopping. Prices aren't great, but there's fuel for both regular customers and big rigs, a convenience store, plenty of car necessities (some in the convenience store, some back in a second area), two sets of bathrooms that are at or above rest stop standards, some games, a Dunkin Donuts, a Burger King, and a diner/restaurant. Additional amenities are available as well, though I assume only truckers utilize them (such as an itty bitty gym, several showers, laundromat, and lockers). Are the prices great? No. In fact the gas was some of the most expensive if not the most expensive around. But it's semi-convenient and easy to see the signs from the highway for non-locals and truckers and the immediately adjacent FedEx hub probably give them all the gas sales they need anyway. Should you stop by? Eh, maybe. Tired and need a place to stretch? Good for that. Gas? See above, but it isn't much cheaper off the other exits anyway, unless you're local enough to know where, and flexible enough to spend an extra few minutes ( GasBuddy helps). ...besides, is your time worth a couple extra bucks? The $8.99 buffet offers quite a selection for the carb lovers out there. But let's start with the soups- 2 unidentified vats with no name and no label. One looked like corn chowder, I tried what looked like a vegetable beef (the broth tasted like beef) but there was no beef in it. The soup was OK, but a little watery. But Holy Mother of Carbs- this is what I saw on the buffet table: corn, mashed potatoes, white rice, white rice with red specks, fried rice with celery and carrots, spring rolls, pasta, boneless pork (or was it bacon) in teriyaki sauce. Whatever it was it was extremely fatty and non edible, some pretty good chicken in a sweet glaze, various pork, chicken and beef dishes, carrots, spinach, etc. The gold medal winner is without a doubt the most disgusting thing I have ever seen on a buffet line- a monstrous meat loaf sitting in a pool of grease that had to be 1/2 inch deep. Don't ask me why, but I've always wanted to try this place. I'm a little nuts like that. So, after dropping The Boy™ off at school today, I decided to indulge my curiosity and have breakfast at the good ol' truck stop. Um, I'll probably never do it again. Standard truck stop place here. One walks into a convenience store geared toward truckers. Cut rate T-Shirts and jeans line the walls. Cut rate DVD and books on tape are displayed prominently. The place has all the supplies a trucker might need while on the road, including a large selection of SiriusXM receivers and accessories. Included in this building is a Dunkin Donuts, Burger King and a Country Kitchen restaurant. I ate at the Country Kitchen. It's really neither country, nor a kitchen. It's a large room with some sort of a kitchen (microwave?) in the back. I had the $8.99 buffet. I can only assume it would have been more palatable when it was put out...hours ago...when it was first cooked (nuked?). Relatively tasteless and bland, I kept thinking to myself, "so this is how truckers survive on the road? Really?" I'll say this...the coffee wasn't bad. They bring it to you in a little decanter so you can pour your own second cup. WiFi access starts at $1.99/hour. Fascinating. Another way to gouge truckers while they're on the road. Hey, guys...find a nice DD or what have you and enjoy the bliss that is FREE WiFi. Your wallet will thank you. Give them credit, they run a clean place here. The restaurant was tidy, shiny and very, very clean. It seems many of the locals also come here to gossip in the morning, too. But I won't be doing so again. I had The Worst Experience Ever with this TA Truck Service. I called in 1 hours before to make an appointment for DOT inspection. I reached at the place at 5:30 pm. They said wait till 6: 30 pm and we'll give you a call. They never called. I checked out again at 6: 45 and said to bring the truck on front and wait another 45 min because we have someone inside and only 2 technicians who are able to do DOT inspection. After 2 hour came back with another explanation. He said one of my workers left home and the other one I sent on emergency road problem. If you want you can wait for him to come back. So more then 5 hours waiting for nothing. No DOT inspection done and he didn't care. All employees lazy as hell. I'll never go back again. read more

The most horrific experience in my life. The truck repair shop has not a sense of urgency when it comes to peoples repairs. Serve customers as if they had all the time to wait around. I came in for two very simple task never at issue with any other TA I have visited 2 Steering tires replaced and a DOT Inspection. Not only did the tires take 3 hours the inspection another hour with absolutely no repairs. Once inspection was completed they came with a list of ridiculous repairs by a mechanic named Ricky who clearly should be institutionalized or retrained on how to be both a mechanic and an inspector. He displayed clear signs of inability to understand what he was doing and what he was looking at. Once their over an hour inspection was completed the assistant manager on duty did not offer a resolution to issues on the truck rather acted complacent and could careless that they just stopped me from completing my job. This is the most unprofessional TA repair shop I have visited and not only should the staff be retrained on service but also on English manner of speech appropriate to customer service. Actually they frankly should be let go as they are horrible representation for the company. I am very unhappy with this treatment not only because it was beyond a waste of time but it also cost me a substantial amount of time and money due to their ill service. I strongly advise you take inconsideration the detriment this caused a frequent customer as I am outranged and would never make this effort to express myself if I was not very upset by this treatment. read more

Occasionally a Boston - New York bus stops at this country store/Dunkin Donuts/McDonalds/truck stop. It has everything a trucker needs. I had no idea you could cook scrambled eggs and toast at the same time with 1 machine, but that's what you'll find at the TravelCenter. It's awesome on so many levels. I stopped in to the TravelCenter of America in Willington, CT on Saturday, November 9, 2019, to have a nice, hot lunch. What I got was a very cold, bunch of horrible tasting slop. Now for $15.00 a pop for the buffet, I expect lots of steam rising from the various food stuffs, and a good tasting meal. The only good thing at that restaurant was the coffee. Coffee was the first thing she asked me,and even had my own mini coffee pot on the side. Everything tasted better than what one would expect at a truck stop. This truckstop is a required stop in my travels through southern New England. The shop and and amenities are extensive. On the inside there's a restaurant, decent sized shop and fast food as well as showers and laundry. The facilities are clean and the staff are friendly. If you're hauling, there are over 200 spaces for rigs as well as scales. However I'm not sure if there is a wash bay. read more

After having to pay for parking, all the parking anywhere near the building is paid reserved so i had to park in the back lot and walk a quarter mile to the store. Waitress to several minutes - with only twelve customers inside and at least two other wait staff that could be seen in back (yet did t seem to assist). She took drink order with no commentary and said she'd return. She returned five minutes later with drinks and then - only after Bill/tab started -did she bother to inform us of the plethora items she was"out of". IK. So we change plans. Decide order quick, easy breakfast fare. The people near us ordered chicken fried chicken ( yes that's what it's called) on the other side, someone ordered meatballs and pasta. 15 minutes later, those near us had their food. Another ten minutes and still no food. When asked, waitress goes to kitchen. Can hear her ask cook where order is. Literally, he didn't answer. We left- somewhere after 30+++ minutes leaving enough to cover drinks in table. We carefully made our way back across the disgusting, sticky and crumb covered floor to leave..... complete and utter fail. This is our second try and there will be no more. Every local agrees this place best avoided at all cost. By looks of customers/cars in lot; it appears everyone on I-84 agrees as well. read more

After just leaving nh heading to florida for a family vaca we hit a coyote and busted our rental car up n ended up being stranded at this ta travel center... the lady at the front desk was amazing offering me my husband and our children a place to stay warm and after not being able to find a taxi or uber (@3 am) she offered to drive my family to the air port when she got out of work.. although we ended up finding an uber ..the cashiers generosity was very appreciated..and if we ever end up in that neck of the woods again we would deffinitly go back. read more

I am not a trucker but rather a business person who travels up and down 84 often. I stop here on occasion as they have a Dunkin Donuts and it is easy on and easy off. I will usually browse through the store for a bit as I find some of the products interesting and it helps break up my ride. I have been to the Country Pride restaurant before but usually stick with basics such as a burger or club sandwich. I find it clean, service prompt, food decent and the prices are reasonable. I stopped here last night and actually go more of a meal. I had a sirloin steak. It came with the soup and salad bar. The chicken soup was tasty and the salad bar, while somewhat basic, was fresh. The rolls looked good and tasted good but were glazed with what seemed like movie theater butter. Probably not good for the cholesterol! The sirloin came out and was a pretty good steak, especially for about $11. It wasn't the perfectly cut, thin steak at a chain restaurant but rather a hunk of sirloin cooked perfectly and was very tender. The fries would have been better if they cam out of the fryolater a few minutes earlier. If you are looking for a good, basic meal, I recommend stopping here. read more
