I'm not a hay picking, corn shucking hick to be writing about a TA. I was doing the cross country trip thing and wary of truck stops being a city girl myself and a prissy one at that. Did I mention I'm allergic to flannel and Old Leather? But finally after 18 hours of non-stop driving, a girl's gotta stop and take a little break. I walked into the Country Pride with polka dotted Wellies, a LOUD red North Face ski jacket, and a black Prada with a Jane Greene book in hand, so yeah I was a little out of place and getting stared at. Being out of place makes me feel uncomfortable to begin with but ahhhh, Midwesterners and their hospitality always shines through. I had the two eggs combo with sausage, breakfast potatoes and sourdough bread and it was just like being at home on a Sunday making breakfast for me and the animals. The eggs came out over medium (just as I requested), the breakfast potatoes weren't burned and just flaky enough to comfortably get bites in without trying to cram too much in my mouth like those burned hash brown pancakes I've had before. I love how these places butter your bread for you and there's loads and loads of jam (not preserves, jam) at your disposal. This place is a total truck stop-there's no denying it. Nothing but men, unshaven, in flannel-MILES of flannel and not much atmosphere going on here but then again, I didn't come for that. The coffee was hot, fresh, and always coming. I'm a coffee fanatic and if you'd just stick an I.V. in me with some Sumatra blend, I'm good to go. My server was a really nice girl who was way overworked but still on top of things. I never was in want and she asked the right questions at the right time. Being a restaurant manager, people always tell me I'm super critical about my service but maybe I am. This girl rocked though. I need to import more Midwesterners to my restaurant 'cause they certainly know what service really is. I left her a fat tip and an invite to my restaurant anytime. She actually went there once on vacation before I got a chance to snag her so maybe I'll get myself a new server sometime this year. Hmmm...and soon I will have an army of awesome Midwesterners invading San Francisco! Bwa ha ha! Finally, people who work!! read more

We were really disappointed with TA Everyone was pretty cranky. The parking lot is a disaster. It's a bumpy mess. Felt like our tires were going to fall off. Our dog got burrs in her paws from the small garbage filled area. That was the only strip that wasn't concrete on the entire property. So, not dog friendly. And to top it off, we paid 60 cents more per gallon than our previous stop in Iowa. We will not be stopping there again. read more

Very disappointed, we used to eat there a couple times a month but no more. They no longer have daily specials or Reuben sandwiches. Went today and wanted a Chef salad but was told no salad . Ordered a fish dinner person was not impressed and grilled chicken sandwich not much better . read more

Stopped here for gas and a bite to eat on our way home to Cali. There is a sit down restaurant which appeared to be semi set up for covid precautions. We decided it looked OK since there were only about 6 people inside. The food was tasty and reasonably priced and so much better than the bland, flavorless drek we had at a Cracker Barrel the night before. Definitely worth a stop for a break and chow. read more

It is very important that the truck stop is clean. In my opinion this one is very clean. This is a very nice truck stop very clean outside with a lot of parking for your truck. . However workers there so nice and kind. They were able to help he with everything that I need. read more

Stop here all the time on the way throught. Usually parking available. Free fitness room, few arcade games, driver lounge, laundry room, repair shop and a country pride restaurant. read more

Clean bathrooms and a nicely stocked travel store. My family and I ate at the country pride that was attached and the food was reasonably priced for a hot meal. Wasnt expecting much in terms of food quality but it outdid fast food by miles. If you're looking for a place to rest and eat while on your road trip, this is definitely the place. read more

Look I've been to many Country Pride restaurants as a Professional Driver, but this was my worst experience ever. There was on waitress, a brunette that clearly should be manager she knew her job and was doing everything right. But one experienced person can't do the work of five. Ordered an omelette by another waitress but not what toast I wanted, so I asked later when I realized I didn't get some but my breakfast was cold and half eaten by then. My bill was $9.27 I gave a $10 and walked out, which is not my typical 20-25% I leave. My mother was a waitress but always told us if service is bad leave a penny so they don't think you forgot a tip. read more

Best Country Pride! The restaurant was immaculately clean. We customized our breakfast order to accommodate our vegetarian style. The cook prepared an excellent meal, cooked to perfection. Everything was fresh, even the mushrooms. The best part was our waitress, Tiffany. She was awesome! The service was friendly, and accommodating. Visited at the end of September 2011 with my parents. Over 10 dollars for a plate of stir fry that did not taste like stir fry. My dad ordered the fried chicken and one piece tasted like it had been dipped in a bucket of salt. Sorry to say the food was so-so and overpriced. I wanted to like this place. Honestly I don't blame these waitresses for the horrific service. The manager is doing a lousy job at running the place. I've been sitting here far longer than I should have waiting for food and watching what's going on. I've seen the manager complain about things being broke. She's playing on her cell phone. Wow, has this location gone down hill. So much so, that if I could give it 0 stars, I would. The service was terrible and the food was even worse. Our server was slow, rude, unprofessional and definitely should not be in any service industry. The sad part, we actually had the better of the two servers (i.e. the other server was even worse). While it took an excessively long time to get our taken, it took much, much MUCH longer to even get our food. When we were finally lucky enough to get our food, it was not even close to being what it was supposed to be. None of the meals were properly prepared (i.e. they were not made out of the correct components). The only thing that was properly made were the fries....What a sad state that this restaurant has turned into. read more
