Alright...the service was a little disorganized...we had to ask for Shrimp Tempura at least 4 times before we got our order. We got the hot pot, BBQ, and Sushi. I thought the food was ok (as expected)...good place to load up on protein with the meat selection (recommend the Kobe beef), and soup for the fall. We wanted to support a newly opened restaurant in Waldorf so came here on a Friday night of a holiday weekend. We walked in at 10:05pm, when everything says they close at 11pm. The hostess told us that they stop seating at 10pm however the kitchen closes in 25 minutes, and then offered us to order carry out. If this situation was logical, it would be understood. This was the same issue we had when Grill No13 was previously at this location, the dining room hours always varied and never matched what was posted. We always try to support the new, local businesses but they make it so hard. Luckily the chain restaurant down the street actually stayed open until 11pm, and seated us at 10:15. read more

This is a really good place, loved the food. Better than K-pot. A few things to request. Blinds or something for the windows, best time to go is night I guess. Marinate your t-pot steak, it's bland and no taste. Most annoying part is the venting pipe hangs too low, couldn't see my wife without bending down or sideways....if I moved over, then I'm away from the bbq grill to cook. Speaking of the grill, it doesn't over cook the food too fast like Firepan's does. Hopefully they take this as friendly suggestions and not complaints. If I knew I had to cook the food myself I wouldn't have gone there. I didn't like having to smell the different food from different tables. I don't like that you can't take your leftovers with you. Pros: - Everything was super fast. We were seated immediately. We placed orders on ipads then went to grab apps from the hot bar. By the time we cam eback, the food we ordered was already there - Vegan friendly. They were able to substitute chicken broth with veggie broth for soup bases and had plenty of veggies to choose from - Tasty. All of the sushi and hot pot items tasted fresh and delicious. - Value & variety. There was so much to choose from that there was something for everyone. It's all you can eat for the menu and the bars ("hot food bar, fruit bar, salad bar) - Clean & welcoming. The restaurant is well set up with plenty of space to have privacy but also see the rest of the restaurant. The decor is very inviting - Easy ordering. We were able to order everything on a tablet at the table Cons: - The "hot bar" was not at all hot, not even warm. The food we got from the hot bar (fries, spring rolls, wings) were all room temperature at best, with no signs of heat what so ever. - The main reason I wont be back soon and would not bring more people with me next time is the music choice. It seemed like someone put on a sexy time playlist and walked away. Song after song was nothing but sex - I'm not exaggerating here, literally every song. I'd rather not have any music on at all than to have to sit through that again. Who wants to sit for a meal with their family, coworkers, or friends with this type of music? - Poor customer education. With this being our first experience at a restaurant like this, it was very confusing. The waiter asked if it was our first time, then did a poor job at explaining anything to us. We had to ask about the random ipad, where to find the food bars, what was included. Then when the food comes, they sit a pile or ingredients, a spray bottle, and some tools on your table. We had to walk around to other tables to figure out what we were supposed to do. Overall, this was still a good experience. The cons are all things that are easily fixable. So let me start out that my experience could have been 100% different than what I was given. I decided to take my daughter out to lunch and this was my first and possibly last visit to TPOT. I have only been to Firepan 1x in the past so I assumed it was the same type of deal. First the establishment is really nice. Very different from when it was Grille13. The staff coming in seemed really nice. My daughter and I were sat in the back of the restaurant (no big deal) and was greeted promptly. We had 2 waitresses ( one staff member and the waitress who was being trained. The waitress name on my receipt , I believe is the waitress who was being trained so I will not mention her name bc none of my experience was her fault at all. I blame the trainee) . The older waitress we will call her (A) was nice and went through the menu with us, explained the all you can eat etc. She informed me she was training (B) and that (A) will be taking care of us. She asked if we have ever been there before and I told her no. I've only been to Firepan 1x so I was hoping it was the same . She helped us pick out each selection which was great. the trainee (B) really had zero interaction with us since she was listening and watching which was cool no biggie. now this is where my experience should have been different. All our food came. ok , cool. We had a lot of food so I recommend think with your eyes and not your stomach bc a lot comes out. Our food had ZERO seasoning with the exception of the steak bulgogi which had a marinade on it. The chicken was so bland and gross. we had so much food so we cooked as much as possible and ate as much as possible . Every thing was BLAND. it was horrible. I mentioned to the waitress (A) how everything was bland but we'll eat it. She didn't say anything at all just ok. When we were finished..Waitress (A and B) walked up to the table next to us and invited that table to go to the SEASONINGS BUFFET!..She continued to grab a couple tables and then came up to mine and said would you like to join? I immediately told her NO and asked her about the seasonings buffet and she stated that's where we were supposed to go to get the sauces etc. She walked off and I sat there dumbfounded and pissed to be honest. When she came back I told her that I was going to be honest with her and that I was super upset because why were we left out on the buffet when we were ordering and I also mentioned to her that the food was very bland and had no taste. Why was it not brought up then? Why were we left out of it? She apologized and said we can use it now if we want and we were already FINISHED. I told her our experience could have been so much better and now I got a nasty taste in my mouth instead of having a better food experience. She dismissed how I felt about the situation because she forgot to tell us and show us where it was located. Her attitude towards the experience was dismissive and rude. Like she was annoyed we were upset because she forgot to do her job. I kindly let her know that she needs to do better. She gave us a 10% discount ($7.00 ) off the $80 bill. smh. For the amount of money they charge per person for the buffet everything should have been awesome. It wasn't and that's disapointing. She only gave me the discount after I got the bill and I mentioned that she's nuts for charging me full price for her F*up. I hope that the trainee (B) gets a better trainer! read more

I ordered almost $150 of food for pick on a Friday evening. Upon arrival, the outside was cute with a lit up panda. As we walked in, I felt like I was back at a club in the early 2000s. The first thing we saw was a dirty black uniforms, and sassy unwelcoming attitudes. After standing there awkwardly waiting while the 3 workers at the counter shuffled papers and ignored everyone, someone finally said, "Hi." I told them I had a door dash and they asked me to have a seat. We sat in the front lobby for over 30 minutes listening to a terrible 90s play list, which mainly featured Jodeci and other songs very awkward to play at a Hotpot restaurant. Many songs were about love making etc, it was very strange! Then we watched a shift change, and that was even more strange. It looked like a scene from a Walmart coloring book.. but I digress. After 30 minutes, I approached the counter and asked about my order. The female who finally acknowledged me after standing there again awkwardly for about 3 minutes, informed me that they never started my order. I was in complete shock, and I just didn't react. I simply asked them to cancel the order, and they pretended they did. On my way home, I called door dash and they informed me that the place never cancelled my order. I want my 30 minutes of life back, and I want to remove this experience from my memory. Never again!!! Do not recommend!!! read more
