We used to visit when our daughters were little and decided to come back now they have grown up and we were back in the area. The ship is still nice, the pancakes are still great. Well worth the visit and not only with children. Location is easily accessible from the centre of town. read more

Really delicious! You must try this pancake hour in Groningen, because best one yet. Perfect lunch on a sunny day with breeze hitting you by the canal. I tried the Turkish pancake, with a side of mint hot tea. It was good but big portion that's topped with meat, vegetables and best of y'all, French fries!!! Very filling. Good service. Good food. read more

Really Amazing Restaurant. Of course it is tourist attraction. But compared to usualy tourist traps this one is still very effecient in what they serve. My Mate and I had an Americaanse and a Hannibal pannekoek and they were really delicious. Yet, a little too rich. Merely the price was a little unexpected. For a simple Pannekoek are 8 Euro I believe a little too much. Nonetheless, worth the trip especially if you are only once in Groningen!!! read more

The ten-year-old in me loves this place. Pancakes on a pirate ship! The unique venue (this is an actual ship in the canal) makes the most of its pirate theme, with Dutch pannekoeken flavors with pirate and international themes. A great place for kids, but also good for a quiet lunch for adults. Be forewarned: the servings of the savory pannekoeken are very large. The service is very solicitous and efficient. My wife had the German Pannekoeken (ground beef and onion with mustard) and I had the Spanish Pannekoeken (chorizo with Manteca cheese). Both too much to finish, but was delicious. Unfortunately, no Pastafari discounts. Aaaargh! read more

First off, of course it is a very special thing that the restaurant is on a boat. This is a very nice attraction which is, well, mainly the reason people actually go to that place at first. The food is in my opinion very good and tasty and the people running the place are very polite people. However my only concern I have about this place is that it is, in my opinion, too expensive. I had to pay around 10 euros for a pancake filled with shawarma. In my opinion this is way too much, however I do think that it was a very delicious pancake and I do recommend you go here if you like pancakes. Also, the overall fibe was very nice. read more

Of course a restaurant on a ship is interesting. That's why I give 2 stars. But the pancakes are expensive and nothing special. Moreover, my boyfriend had a bad stomach feeling after eating there. Thus, we won't go there again. read more

A charming place with amazing pancakes! I guarantee you will feel absolutely full afterwards. It is a perfect spot for a sunday with your kids, but also for friends. And yes, you are actually on a ship! The staff were also friendly and efficient! read more

Went here on a Saturday around 2. Lots of room inside. Food came pretty quick was nice so we could keep sight seeing. Menu is plastic. Place looks kid friendly. Portions pretty big. Mains about €9-12. Food was satisfying but not mind blowing. read more

Between the pannenkoeken places in Amsterdam and here, this is by far my favorite. Nice environment with the boat, good service and the food was very well done, the pankake had the exact thick and wetness. read more

nice touristy place. on a ship. probably more fun when you sit outside and have kids with you. otehrwise, it is a nice enough pancake experience. If I got to do it again, I would defnately get a pancake with less on it. you can get a pizza like set of toppings anywhere, but a dutch pancake only in the dutchlands. read more

(Many towns have them, so I'm not quite sure if it's a chain, or just a beloved Dutch institution, in the manner that American cities need drive-up diners.) So, as the name would suggest, it's literally a large historic boat, still in the water, that's been converted into a restaurant that sells pancakes. These aren't pancakes in the manner that Americans think of them. To us, they'd be more akin to crepes. They come in every manner of savory and sweet. The staff was happy to accommodate my request to enjoy a veggie crepe. The size of the crepe was huge! In a break with the norm for dining in the Netherlands, the staff didn't look at me as though I was insane for requesting the left-overs to-go. (A disgusting habit in the eyes of most Europeans...) In fact they even had pre-made to-go boxes. 'T Pannekoekschip has a children's play area, which is a nice touch for families dining here.

ein tolles Erlelbniss, komme gerne wieder, allerdings finde ich die Portionen schon fast zu gross und zu deftig, aber das kann auch einfach an dem Tag gelegen haben. Toll ist das kleine Kinderspielzimmer, die Umgebung, und dass es mitten in Groningen ist, einen Besuch wert ist es mit sicherheit. Wer in Groningen ist, sollte es sich nicht entgehen lassen, so noch nirgends anders gesehen, auch nicht die Vielfallt die man aus Pfannkuchen machen kann read more

War letztes WE mit dem Bike auf Holland-Tour und kam hier gegen Mittag vorbei. Durch QYPE war ich hier auf diesen Laden gestossen. Also Die Pfannkuchen waren echt gut (obwohl meine und die von meiner Mutter sind nicht zu toppen). Preise und Mengen sich in Ordnung - die Bedienung sprach sogar gebrochen Deutsch und so war die Kommunikation eigentlich auch kein Problem. Abzüge gibt es leider wegen der etwas dreckigen Toilette. read more

Dort kann man sehr lecker Essen, Preise sind okay denk ich. Es ist natürlich etwas touristisch angehaucht, aber trotzdem ists ne sehr nette Atmosphäre. Ich war schon öfters dort und die Bedienung war immer sehr, sehr freundlich fand ich! Ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert! :) read more
