I typically need a hair cut once every other month. Previously, I could have had one every month,…read morebut in college decided to opt for quality over quantity, spending more on a nicer hair cut less frequently, instead of getting a crappy cut more often. After living in Munich now for over two months, and my last haircut even longer, I went looking for a place to have a haircut without an appointment and I stumbled into Budz, and was able to get one on the spot. The stylist was very good, fast, and professional. The cut was done with all scissors, and was fairly fast, considering. With limited German skills, I was able to say that I wanted to keep my front bangs, but clean up the back and sides. That was about all I said, yet without being able to communicate much, she was able to get it to the length I wanted, without much back and forth. Additionally, at nearly all my previous hair cut places that I used to go to, after getting a hair cut usually meant coming home and showering, to get all the excess strands of hair out of my head (and also dumping the clothes that I had gone to the hair cut in, into the wash to also rid them of the itchy strands of cut hair). After this hair cut, I had nearly NO excess hair in my shirt or on my head. While the price is a little more expensive than what I used to pay in LA and in the SF bay area, it's not so much more, and the quality was pretty amazing. I will probably be coming back here for my hair cuts in the future.

Please, please do not go here and spend your hard earned money. This lady is the most untalented…read moreand unprofessional hairstylist I have ever encountered. It's a crime she is even in business and a shock there are good reviews. I asked for all over hair color and root touch up but apparently she thought highlights are better on her own. I mean, it's not MY money that I'm spending and know what I want, right? After patiently waiting to see what this crazy woman is doing to my hair, these "highlights" were hardly even noticeable! What was the point of sitting there for almost 2 hours and spending the additional Money for I thought to myself. She had the audacity to say I couldn't see them because she "needed to change some lightbulbs in her salon" and I would definitely see it in the sun. You guys have no idea this was over a 5 minute argument about her lighting. That is not the customers problem and she should know better! Why on earth would anyone pay over 100 euros to have their hair only look good in the sun?!? After a week of disappointment and to her offer before I left, I came back asking for a fix. I told her I wanted the highlights to be more noticeable and a lighter shade of brown than what she originally tried and failed to create. That was the biggest mistake because she ended up bleaching my hair to the core, giving me the most hideous and uneven highlights know to man. I'm talking orange and yellow streaks and the highlights so far from my roots it already looked like they've grown out and I already needed a touch up. Absolutely and utterly ridiculous. To add insult to injury she charges me an additional 30 euros when she said she wouldn't charge extra for her dumb mistake. Seriously the worst experience.

I had alexia and she was incredibly professional and even spoke English. I am so happy with it and will go back for sure. Would really recommend them and especially if you have had bad experiences in Munich and feel like no one will be able to help you, I went many places for 30 and it was extra for drying or washing and they could not speak English which is my fault but frustrating when they yelled at me. Anyway- just pay more go here!
