Spirits of the ADIRONDACK is a great name for such a small town liquor store…read more The store itself is clean and well lit, open until 9PM on the weeknights. I came here for a quick stop to fuel up on a cabin trip. It's located right next to another liquor store and has a smoke area outside. The parking is spacious and gives you plenty of room inside and out. The location outside was clean and the inside looks like your standard liquor store. Tons of alcohol including liquor, beer, various liqueurs and mixers. Decently priced for Upstate New York and at a very easy location!

There's a lot of liquor stores along Route 30, and I'll be honest with you, I stopped here because…read morethis one is shaped like a barrel. I feel like anyone who built a barrel-shaped building in which to sell things that are often stored/aged in barrels has gone the extra mile (and perhaps incurred a lot of extra costs), and deserves my business over the people that didn't. Having now been inside Sacandaga Spirits, I can report that it is definitely a barrel shaped building, but it's harder to tell on the inside, and while it is filled with liquor and wine, you are not in any danger of drowning in either. They have a quality selection of bourbon, and a very nice man behind the counter who is willing to help you if you need a hand picking a nice bottle. The wine selection is better than most in the area, but may leave a little bit to be desired if you're from a larger city. And unfortunately, they didn't have any Frangelico, which if you don't know, is a hazelnut liqueur that, when poured into hot chocolate, is the #1 thing you want to drink after any sort of snow-related activities.

The coolers/fridgers arrive next week and they plan to chill ALL THE THINGS so anything you want can be easily consumed moments after arriving home. Not sad that it's an easy detour on my walking commute home from the office: hello, At-Home Happy Hour! I loved finding a combo of very-local CDNY cans + NYC & NE specialitys + a bit more variety from far away spots, too. I am especially impressed by how much cider Scotia Beverage stocks - more than the few other smaller-sized CDNY Beverage Centers I've visited, for sure; notable since they've been open only a few months. I was happy to fill the counter with sour beers to welcome in the warmer weather with a CHEERS! and a smile. Will be eager to visit again after we work our way through these selections.
