I have had terrible experiences with this company as a Peabody tenant.
The first bad experience was when they sent someone round to do an inspection. They missed many appointments. When the person finally did turn up, they were on the phone the whole time and didn't know what they were doing. They also broke the cover of my boiler.
The second bad experience (yesterday) was when I got a call from the engineer very aggressive from the moment he called about me letting him into the flat. I did not have his number or name, he showed no id. I did not even know he was calling about being outside (the wrong communal door). He was saying 'oh God' and being strange in my flat. I said i was going to call Tbrown and speak to a manager and he said he would call there and then and 'do it first'. Really childish and horrible. He then stood around after the signature part and i told him to get out of the flat otherwise i would call the police. He found this a laughing matter.
This company is full of cowboys, so unprofessional. Peabody couldn't care less. I received a £25 cheque for the many missed appointments. For all the stress, it was not much.
I have hearing issues (partially deaf) and am a vulnerable tenant. I feel that Peabody use this company as they probably do bulk cheap contracts. My advice is to avoid them altogether. The girls on the phone lines are actually really friendly and efficient but the rest of my experiences with this company are dire. read more
