The North is the Championship course where Solheim Cup was played when the Club hosted the Cup in 2007. This Summer the Club will host the European Amateur Championships. Holes no 12 and no 16 on the North course are usually voted for as being part of the top 18 golf holes in Sweden. Great training possibilities and very good coaches! The restaurant with its beautiful location, upstairs in the main building (and with a large outdoor veranda), has been voted the best golf restaurant in Sweden three times over the last couple of years. Excellent and tasty food, including today's special, to a very decent price. Absolutely top notch experience! Highly recommended!

The water is shallow a long way out, and this beach is great for kids. It's usually packed in warm days, as both tourists, natives and the people owning the beach huts are there, but there's often plenty of room the further away from the hotels you get. There is a pier that you can jump from, and there's often a lot of young people there doing just that. This beach is one of the best in Halland, Sweden. It's not as packed as Tylösand outside of Halmstad, and closer to the city. It also has a lot of Ice Cream stands along the beach, as well as a few restaurants and a good miniature golf place. Also a lot of parking lots, but be sure to go away from the hotel to find one, or to be there earlier than you think is necessary. The best way is really to take the bike.

There are 2 racing car games and two pinball machines and an airhockey that has an annoying noise in this tiny room. The pins are badly placed in a very cramped inner room. If you are not alone it is hard to play without disturbance. At the time they had Scared Stiff (playable) and NBA fastbreak (out of order). It is SEK 10 per credit. There is no changing machine.

The only place in the city centre (there is another one which is also owned by Actic a bit outside…read morethe city) with a swimming pool and this is why I usually I visit Actic to get my swim on. There's also a gym on the second floor that I go to now and again. The facilities are really starting to show their age and the interior containing old wooden details and crackled tiles doesn't really help this aging feel, a renovation is in need (or we can just call it a retro gym;)). I guess these small details contribute to a not so fresh feel in changing rooms and showers. Anyway, enough about the interior, the staff is friendly, helpful and always smiling. You can buy different fruits and drinks at the front desk and they also have sunbeds in the changing rooms. Plus it's really close to home!

Impressive golf club with two courses, the Old Course, and the New Course. Both set in beautiful…read moresurroundings up at Hallandsåsen! I played the Old Course today in sunshine and in almost no wind. The course is fun, going up and down, and with quit large but tricky greens. A very nice experience! Before playing we had lunch at the restaurant, today's special - chicken - was both excellent and to a fair price! Only drawback was when we returned at 5.45 pm, the restaurant and bar was closed, so no beer after having finished the round.... It is only early August... I would also like to mention that checking in at the reception prior to playing was an excellent experience - nice, cordial and fast! Highly recommended!
