A care taker will personally turn on some of the machines and explain in German what is going on. Priceless! There really are not many artifacts but the museum gives just enough information covering the mining, auto, armament, glass, textile industries that worked the region. The bldg once belonged to Autounion and has been wonderfully repurposed. As for the city, remember that the city was once named Karl Marx Stadt. Wide blvds. and typical Eastern bloc bldgs. From the Hbf, take tram 4 then transfer to tram 1, all easy because of the transit maps at the stops.
